Unfortunately, I really wanted to give this place a try, but my experience with the poor level of customer service I received caused me to cancel my scheduled appointments and take my business elsewhere. The website is great. It is warm, friendly, and informative. Despite the 1 hour drive I was willing to make to use this clinic, I still chose it because it seemed to be the most personable out of all the clinics I had researched in the area. With this type of procedure, you're certainly looking for warm and fuzzy people/personalities. I emailed Lori and told her of my intentions to schedule an appointment with her clinic. I gave her a brief background and overview of my health history in the email and asked what would be the best way to schedule an appointment. She called me later that day and left a voicemail. I picked up my cell phone and saw that she had called, but I did not have a voicemail notification on my phone, so I called her back right when I saw that I had missed her call. Her first words to me were "Oh, I just left you a detailed voicemail", and it wasn't in the friendliest of tones, almost as if she were irritated that I had called. I apologized, told her I didn't know she had left a message. We continued to talk and I began scheduling my sessions with her. I scheduled the first one for a Friday evening at 6pm. She immediately said, "Are you going to be scheduling ALL of your appointments in the evening?" (Again, the not-so-nice-I'm-irritated tone). I said, well, whatever works best for you, I'm flexible. (I thought I was the CUSTOMER?) So we scheduled the rest for 6am in the morning. As we progressed through the conversation, she seemed a bit snippy and referenced my "lonnnng" email (in her words) as to why we didn't need a consultation upon my first session. She insisted upon taking my credit card information right up front (about 30 seconds into the conversation), which is fine, I get it, maybe they've been burned a couple of times on people not showing up for sessions. But it's kind of a put-off when it's mentioned right away like that. We finished up the conversation, and I told her I would see her soon. For the next several days afterward, I couldn't shake the uncomfortable feeling I had with my first impression of the clinic. I didn't care for her tone, or the way I was made to feel like I was an inconvenience, never was I made to feel like a valued customer. And given the distance I was traveling (which I did share with her), and the fact that we are talking about hundreds of my hard-earned money, I made the decision to cancel my scheduled sessions and take my business elsewhere. She may very well be a great person and a talented therapist, but based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend the clinic to anyone, and I won't ever be going there myself. read more

Where do I even begin!? I cannot say enough good things about Lori (the owner) or have my sessions with her have helped my stomach and "issues" in so many ways! I started seeing Lori a little over 2 years ago and have been so lucky and blessed to not only get to work with her but have developed a great friendship with her as well. I have struggled with digestive issues and stomach problems for many years and whenever I come in for a session I let her know what is happening with me and where my pains/tight spots are and she uses abdominal massage combined with coconut oil (very nourishing and hydrating) to help move things along and work out those tight and tough spots. The amount of relief I feel at the end of my sessions I can't even put into words! There are some sessions where I walk out feeling 10 pounds lighter and don't look pregnant and puffy anymore :) She also incorporates infusions into your sessions (by request and extra small charge) to help get things moving. Every time I do the coffee infusion which has made such a difference in my releases to get more of the stale and stuck crap (no pun intended) out. Her hours are great too. As early as 5AM!!! 7 days a week! She really has love for her clients and is so helpful and willing to accommodate people's busy lives and schedules. She is so fun to talk to and we always have great sessions just chatting and laughing and talking about life. And it's great because you relax and get yourself distracted and aren't paying attention to the fact your stomach is relaxing so much and you end up have a great release because you're not feeling all tight and stressed out. Since let's be real that's basically what each of our lives contains! Too much stress and not enough focus and attention to ourselves. And during your session as things are coming out she can tell by how everything looks, down to the gas bubbles and will know if you are or aren't eating properly, hydrating well etc. Really helps you figure out where you need to make some adjustments and changes. For example, eating slower and chewing your food properly (my biggest issue) avoiding certain foods that don't seem to be digesting or moving out properly, drinking more water, avoiding carbonated drinks just to name a few. There is no hiding bad habits when you're in a session with her! And if you want to continue to feel better then why not take some of her helpful tips and apply them at home? Especially when they are so easy! She also has a location in Grayslake and my devotion to her is real I drive over an hour sometimes when I'm coming from the city to see her just for a session! And I never mind because it's so worth it and makes a difference in how I feel. I promise you will not regret seeing her and starting your journey to better health and happiness! :) read more

Lori is knowledge about colonics. I believe she could answer any question about how the process works. She could however use some training in customer service. She comes across as stern and irritated. The visit was sort of like being sent to the principal's office with her trying to help you with a most personal matter while holding a ruler in one hand ready to spank. That was the feeling I got. Very uncomfortable. The office was very uncomfortable overall. Similar to a house built in the 70's that's never been updated and not cleaned much. Cobwebs, dusty old objects, a trash bag in the middle of the lobby floor with something in it, and overall things in disarray. It was also uncomfortable to be told to leave shoes at the door and walk around in socks while she and another person wore shoes. Not very sanitary. Suggestions: Nice salons offer disposal slippers where no shoes are permitted. White robes would be a plus. The office could use about $5K in updates to bring it up to date so it's not like someone's basement. Update the interior doors, trims, floor boards, paint, and remove all clutter. The office only has 4 rooms. Cleaning service in the area runs for only ~$30 per labor hour. The small square footage could be cleaned weekly for ~1-2 labor hours. Use bottled water vs old glasses for customers. Change to a customer-focus: make the environment comfortable to relax. Change the attitude to more friendly and comforting for such an intimate process. Try reading something funny or try smiling before seeing each client. With proper updates she could also upsell products from companies she partners with as part of exit advice to customers regarding detoxing, etc. But the décor needs to be pleasant for anyone to want to look around and consider. I believe Lori has knowledge in the area needed to be very successful. She just needs to improve the things mentioned. read more

I had a somewhat okay experience for my initial appointment so I decided to give her another try. So I schedule my appointment for the following week for my second and third appointment. Little to my surprise I got sick 2 days before the appointment. I had a really bad cold (I had congestion and I couldn't stop coughing). I informed her that I didn't want to get her sick or her clients and if I can reschedule my first appointment she said it was fine. She gave me a hard time after I wanted to reschedule my second appointment (The appointment were back to back appmts). Per her exact words "I understand 1 or 2 times to switch or reschedule but this has been quite a bit of rearranging...." Mind you that I gave her more than 24hr notice about the rescheduling and she knew I was sick. She doesn't care about my wellbeing or her own clients. Here I thought I was the "customer/client". Well I cancel all my appointments all together but I already paid for 3 sessions that I didn't receive. Lori didn't apologize, she didn't response back nor did she refund my money.
