It's a great mall. Best I have been to since I moved to MA 3 months ago. Has a lot of good stores. My favourites are: H&M - nice and cute clothing, decent prices. Forever 21 - same. Deichmann shoes - just recently discovered it. Cute cheap shoes, expecially for summer JCPenny - I NEVER shopped there in my life, but this time scored a boyfriend blazer for $4.97 (orig. price $44.00) and stylishsuede booties for $5.97 (orig, price $80.00) (!!!) Every since I bought a car I ve been going to Northshore Mall. I just can't compare it to any mall from and around Boston. The mall on Route 1 (Square One mall) has no good stores and even the few stores it has have no good merchandise. The other mall, Cambridge Side Galleria doesn't have a wide variety of stores either. Northshore Mall is only about 15 minutes drive and it's totally worth the gas and the time spent driving. They have all the stores I like. They even have Sephora my favorite store!!! I think I ve been there at least 4 times for the past month and I will keep on going back. They also have very nice restaurants too. Well, it seems as though the "Nawthshaw" Mall has come a loooong way from what it used to be. It's bigger and mouch more spacious, it's better with a ton of different small shops, but unfortunately the upgrades come at the expense of parking :[ Oh yeah, the food court and the restroom next to it still suck. read more

I love that they have a Village Silversmith, LUSH (MY FAVORITE), Teavana, H&M, Victoria's Secret, Body Shop, Sephora and Apple Store. Basically, they have ALL of my favorite stores....except for Lane Bryant and Torrid! North Shore Mall needs to show the Plus-Sized girls some love!! No complaints about the other stores, though. I grew up going to this mall and although I live quite a bit farther away from it then before I still make the trip out when I need something and don't want to be disappointed or leave empty handed. Since the completed expansion this mall seems and is so much more open. I love how much brighter it is and how much more space there is. The leather couches and comfy chairs are a huge plus and are great when you've been walking with 2 little ones for a while and you all need a break. The store selection is amazing. To fit any budget. The split Macy's idea is still growing on me but this isn't the only mall where this is the case, and the H&M and Filene's Basement there are top notch, as well as many many other stores. For kids there's a Stride Rite and a BuildaBear. Great place! read more

The Northshore Mall has a lot to offer and is definitely nicer than the Liberty Tree, though there are some stores in the Liberty Tree that make it ideal to visit both (GameStop, Best Buy, Old Navy, etc.). But the Northshore Mall is definitely the more 'upscale' of the two. It has most of the major department stores like Sears and Macy's, Lord & Taylor (does anybody really shop there?) and I believe Nordstrom's is coming soon. Their food court has a good selection of food and for the most part the mall is all on one level, which makes it feel enormous since you have to walk so far from one end to the other. I'm really happy that it has a J. Crew and an Ann Taylor, though I really can't afford either unless there's a sale. But it makes it fun to look! There are some ritzy glitzy/trendy overpriced stores for those of you with daddy's credit card (coach, lucky brand jeans, etc.) and cheaper options if the windows in the aforementioned stores are left streaked with your frustrated tears from the prices (payless, filene's basement, etc.). Definitely a clean mall that's always full of activity, and a mall that I'm sure I'll be going to many times in the future. read more

First, let me say that I hate going to the mall. Any mall. I live halfway between the Burlington Mall and Northshore Mall. I prefer the Northshore Mall for several reasons. It is so much easier to get in and out of the parking lot at Northshore. It is never as busy as its competitor, and it has a decent food court. In addition, many of the same stores can be found including Newbury Comics! Considering I only go to the mall a few times a year, I would rather not make it a frustrating experience, so will continue to support Northshore Mall. Burlington is a complete traffic nightmare, so you have been warned. read more

Jcpenny portrait studios is horrible, I went to get my pictures done and when i went to retrieve my pictures they were incomplete. The manager never put in the complete order of my pictures and i had to pay extra, also the Manager as well as her staff were fired, I was informed when I arrived. I will never have my pictures done here again. I also called Corporate still have not received a call back. DISGUSTING EXCUSE FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. read more

There is hope for our beloved Northshore mall. I know good things were coming here, but lately it's a depressing place to shop. There are many closed stores and ones that are renovating. Fortunately (for some), the stores that are closing are not quite up to par with the new image the Northshore Mall wants. The Limited, Lane Bryant, etc. I recently learned that there will be in fact about 25 new stores in the new wing plus a Nordstrom. Also, new stores such as Hollister, two level H&M and Forever 21 will replace the empty stores in the existing mall. I also learned Zara and Teavana are confirmed to open in the new wing. I'm assuming it's going to be a lot like the new wing at Burlington, but we have a lot more space in this one so we can see additional retailers. P.F. Changs should be coming soon, and Chipolte Grill just opened. read more

This mall is one of the best to go to if you are looking to get a great amount of selection, but without the crap stores that take up space and make you think you're at the Liberty. I mostly go here for the Apple store, Brooks Brothers and a few other spots, and everything else in between seems to also be convenient and well situated. The food court is typical, but not as seedy as, again, the Liberty Tree or Square One. The mall is very well maintained, and never messy, which is nice. The parking is plenty and except for the once and a while trip during Christmas week, you never have to park too far away from any entrance. All in all, a great selection, nice atmosphere, not claustrophobic and convenient to get to. read more

This is the "It" place Nordstroms spoken from a woman who makes a list and is in and out in a flash with some things that fit and look great while others go to um. sisters friends, etc... I really don't have a lot of time so it was great to have Ryan as my personal assistant/helper. I would be lost without out her. There are times you do need assistance. I was so happy to have Ryan. she knew what colors would look best on me, type of style. Seriously, some colors just don't look right on everybody. The service is above and beyond along with the quality of the items. I love Nordstroms and had a great shopping experience there. I will be back many times to come. Good selection of stores. Everything is easy to find. There's plenty of parking, and ulta is conveniently located right by in case Sephora doesn't have what you're looking for. I also love that there's a Starbucks in here, I literally had the absolute BEST coffee I've ever had in my life from one of the barista's at this location! read more

Lots of construction and new stores opening. Nordstrom's on the way. The now ubiquitous Cheesecake Factory is open. Parking is limited. P.F. Chang's is coming. The food court is one of the better ones (relatively speaking). There's a Joe's American Bar and Grill and a Legal's as well as a Bertucci's in the mall (drink at Joe's, eat at Legal's and avoid Bertucci's, which has never recovered from it's founder being bought out). The usual assortment of stores like Abercrombie, Gap, AE, etc. (sorry Raven, no Hollister here.). An Apple store. Williams Sonoma. For books and music you have to go to the Barnes & Noble behind the mall or to Newberry Comics down the road. No toy stores or video game stores remain. Why? Annoyance factor is ratcheted up by the obnoxious mall cart vendors wanting to sell you some god forsaken useless piece of crap. If one more sales person comes up to me and says "can I ask you a question" I'll take the herb-stuffed neck pillow or whatever the hell they are trying to sell and stuff it in their closest orifice! Randomly stopped in the mall for a bite to eat before heading back to Maine. To my pleasant surprise this mall seemed like it offered something for every type of shopper. There was a great variety of stores, some I have never even heard of. After stopping in The Cheesecake Factory, I spent hours walking around the mall. If I lived in the area I would make this my shopping mall. read more

growing up this place was The North Shore Shopping Center and was not a mall. it was more of a grouping of stores set together to maximize the wind chill in the maze of walkways surrounding them. oh, and they had these huge nutcracker statues that they put out during X-Mess but i couldn't see them because the icy wind was stinging my eyes. now it's just a Mall, like any other, they even just put in a CheeseCake Factory. caution: Hot Death approaches. read more

Big construction is happening at this mall. To start, The Cheesecake Factory is opening at the main door, taking a ton of parking. A new wing is being added to the mall at the old Macys, and Nordstrom is opening in 2 years. Zales and Claires have been forced to close with all of the construction. Filene's Basement is remodeling and expanding. The old Lord & Taylor is going to be made into Macys mens and home departments. It is very hard to find a parking spot now. My advice is to park between the old Macys (will be Nordstrom) and JCPenney, or by Macys (old Filenes). You might find a spot here. UPDATE: They are in the process of remodeling the ENTIRE mall. They teared all of the floors through the mall and are starting to put in the new floors. The food court has been completely remodeled, and the Shrimp Market in the food court is opening within the next week. They seem expensive for a food court, and will serve beer + wine(in a food court!!). Nordstrom is opening in April, and the new wing is opening in the fall. A 2 floor Forever 21 is going to be built, and an H & M and Hollister. Sephora, Teavana, Zara will be in the new wing. read more

A really nice mall with alot of stores and restaurants to choose from and I live very close so that works. Sometimes a bigger mall is overwhelming from the crowds and I dont enjoy shopping as much Ill run in and out. I prefer a bigger mall during the week. I wouldnt go here on a weekend if possible. read more

I am liking this mall more and more. I'm excited to see that they are building a Nordstrom's wing just like in the Burlington Mall. It really livens up the feel of the corridor-feel of the mall. Plus, they have great shops, such as Zara, H&M, Banana... & a moderately priced food court. Props to them for keeping it real for a regular American family in a crap economy. read more

As far as the stores go they are your typical mall stores that lean towards more of a high end. The restaurants in this mall are very good.

Slowly but surely the Northshore Mall improves. The Nordstrom wing was a welcome addition and has several good stores to choose from. They have a few good sit down restaurants here as well as a decent food court. Parking can be an issue as with many malls, but this one isn't too bad relative to its size. One of my favorite malls to go to, has a lot of the store I frequent including Sephora, Bare Minerals, Lucky Brand, and Yankee Candle.

This is a mall with a good choice of relatively high-end stores. It gets not a +1 for providing problem solving opportunities (that is, -1) and being hard to use -- There are several parts to the mall, and they are connected on the map but not in reality. the help desk (which I have to use when I visit) is unapologetic about the maps. There is a special Filene's Basement, Orvis Outlet store, and 5 above (vs. 5 below) on the second floor, if you can find it. read more

The mall is nice and big here but I think they should have a big food court like Burlington mall or natick.

There are some real solid stores in this great mall. And the atmosphere is a huge upgrade to the Square One Mall in Saugus. The best stores include JC Penney, Macy's, Olympia, Rack Room Shoes, Gamestop, and Lids. read more

This is a good mall and will probably be great after all the construction and renovation is done. I have to agree with those who complained about the hard sell kiosks. Every single time I walk buy the skincare ones I get the "Sir, can I ask you a question?". It is really, really annoying. I actually avoid this mall because of those people and plan on telling the mall management that. If I have things to get in areas where I don't have to walk past these people I will shop there but they really do bug me enough to avoid at least that area of the mall, if not the whole mall. Other than these annoying sales people there are some really good places like the watch kiosk for fixing watches and replacing batteries, I love that place. Mrs. Fields cookies are awesome too. read more

I rate this mall a strong 2 because I'm comparing it to what it used to be. I worked at the Sam Goody from '96-01' (highschool + 1 year of college) and watched some of the reasons some of us go to the mall slowly disappear. The Sam Goody had a large sales floor with every genre of music in its own individual category (with the exception of raggae and R&B... Ska had its own section, strangely). This was on the lower level of the store. The upper level was dedicated to techno music Top 20 previews, where customers could enjoy a cup of coffee and a danish while listening to music. Outside the store were Bertucci's and Express. The mall also had a Footaction, Journey's, Athlete's Foot and Olympia Sports for the sneaker heads. Now this mall is limited to Olympia and a Finish Line that never have the newest shoes or common mens sizes. I've made trips to that mall in recent years only to find out that my trip was made in vein because it offers the same stuff the Mall of NH offers. No it is not the Mall of America, but it used to be the "North Shore Mall", which used to be a class statement in the mid to late 90's. They still have many stores there for folks to shop, but I'd rather hit the Old Navy at Liberty Tree for a quick pair of jeans than fight through the gridlock and construction to "fall into the GAP" at North Shore. High end stores bailing for Market Street, which is a big mistake, parking there is stupid as is the fact that it's not enclosed & non inviting, the pretentious factor makes it laughable. I grew up in Lynnfield and would rather shop online then step foot in any of those snotty stores, That said, I am disappointed for Simons on the North Shore, It is the ONLY enclosed mall on the North Shore that offers (offered) Higher end retail. I find myself shopping more and more online. I will still frequent there as I like the anchor stores and a couple of restaurants and to walk inside in the colder months. I do wish they would try harder to keep designer and higher end retailers. These cookie cutter retail bonanzas are really becoming a drag. Also, Mom stopped going there because they removed all the benches and replace them with gypsy style kiosks. Paid $100 for what I thought was a $100 Simon Mall gift card at one of the kiosks. Turns out it was a $25 gift card in the $100 packaging. Totally conjecture on my part, but it was probably due to a dishonest clerk. There are scam artists everywhere, but they should find a better way to control or protect the integrity of their gift cards. read more
