I agree with all theses reviews. Rude. Dishonest about wait times. Uncaring. Disorganized. Actually left before being seen.

This staff member's behavior was unprofessional and unacceptable, and was completely misaligned with the standards expected in a healthcare facility (a place that is supposed to provide a safe space in serving patients who may be emotionally vulnerable or concerned about their health). This staff member spoke to me, my family, as well as other patients in a manner that was extremely rude, dismissive, and openly disrespectful. Her tone of voice and demeanor conveyed an attitude of complete irritation, pure laziness, and a clear lack of accountability. Additionally, we witnessed her yell at an older patron to "Go sit down!" while he was attempting to ask a question. Her display of hostility toward someone simply seeking clarity about an update was horrifying. She is a BULLY. It seems as if this staff member counts on others not catching or hearing what she says (out loud or under her breath), or banks on no one speaking up against her or calling her out. I can 100% guarantee that this is not an isolated incident exhibited by this individual, but a continuous inappropriate behavior of hers that has never been addressed or corrected by management. This individual should be given a harsh consequence or be placed on some type of a behavior correction plan. Better yet, she should be removed entirely so that she is prohibited and banned from associating with any other human beings, ASAP. It's interesting, because each of the buildings have kind and helpful greeters posted by the entrance - how is it even remotely possible for this miserable obnoxious individual who is just NOT a good person continues to be employed and be allowed to interact with current and potential patients? Shameful. Endeavor Health, the ball is in your court - how will you advocate for your patients?

We sat in the room for a bit and w got him changed, cleaned and ready to go. All of the small processes in the room were stress-free and thorough. The family and I went out during his knee surgery and once that was completed the doctor called to let me know surgery was complete and everything went well. Then a nurse called and advised me on what happens next and let me talk to him. Once we arrived back we waited a short time and then we were able to head back to see him. Only two at a time. They had him up and walking and climbing stairs before we left. The staff was great! All of them!

In labor and delivery, the nurse told us that the facility was recently updated. All the medical equipment was new, and the fetal monitor they used was even wireless. The only slight hiccup was that there was nearly no room in postpartum care. Fortunately, we got the last room in the overflow floor. Having giving birth in another state, I was extremely impressed by how updated everything was in the overflow room - the shower was brand new, and the bed could be operated to lengthen or sit at various angles. For pain management, I was a little surprised that their policy is to give ibuprofen only upon request. At the previous hospital I was at, they had a regimen switching between Tylenol and ibuprofen. Parking was probably the most difficult part. The main parking lot is a little far, and you have to use a different entrance if you're coming in the evening (rather than the main entrance of the women's hospital). However, when we left, my partner was able to temporarily park in the rotunda to make the commute a little shorter.

I got so lost just trying to park and find a level to cross over to the hospital entrance. Make sure you go to ground level and make your way over to the entrance. Nurses and doctors are great. Also there's a hallway connecting the main hospital to the cancer center so you don't have to leave the parking lot to go there. Part of the maze that's not as bad. Parking is $4 on the Kellogg side for up to 6hrs the. It jumps to $20! If you're on the Kellogg side, you can get a parking sticker which reduces it back to $4. On the hospital side I don't think you can get a sticker so we'll be paying $20! If you're in the Evanston area then this is a good hospital option. If not, it's not worth driving from far away.

The feeling was all too familiar as I had sprained my ankle over a decade ago on NYE. For the first few days I figured I would be fine and tough it out on my own. I eventually came to Endeavor Health/NorthShore hospital in Skokie and visited their Ortho Immediate Care unit. I wanted to make sure it was just a sprain and nothing more. I arrived as a walk-in on a weeknight sans appointment and met with Dr. McCracken soon after checking in. He ordered an x-ray and within minutes after the x-ray, he was able to read and go over the results with me. Thankfully he found no visible breaks in bone, wrote up a doctors note for work and placed me on an ankle brace for a couple of weeks until my ankle fully healed. It's been a month since my injury and I'm happy to report that I am near to full function! I'm able to walk with no issue and have made progress. I've started to go back to the gym with the hopes that in a few weeks I'll be run ready. I'm so glad the Endeavor Health/NorthShore Immediate Care Ortho facility saw me during a weeknight. There's not many Ortho Immediate Care facilities I'm aware of and with this location less than 20 minutes away, this was super convenient.

At the front information desk, I have sometimes felt dismissed or spoken to harshly when asking for directions or clarification, especially when I mentioned that I had visited before but needed reminders due to medical issues and medication-related brain fog. During some specialist visits, I felt that my responses were not fully acknowledged when I answered questions in ways that were unexpected. This left me concerned that parts of my medical information may not have been clearly reflected in my records. I have also struggled to get assistance from the Galter Life Center. Despite having a referral from my specialists, I have not been able to schedule an appointment or receive clear guidance through in-person visits, phone calls, or email. Additionally, I have attempted to contact Patient Experience and Advocacy several times but have not received responses to my calls or messages. When the system moved to NorthShoreConnect, I hoped communication would improve, but many of my messages there have also gone unanswered. Because of these experiences, I personally feel that my concerns have not been addressed adequately, and I would encourage others to carefully consider their options when seeking care.

Our visit to Saint Francis Hospital's Emergency Department left our family with more questions than…read moreanswers. On July 6, my 3-year-old son was treated for a small facial laceration next to his left eye. Because facial scarring was our biggest concern, we chose dissolvable sutures after the physician explained they would provide a better cosmetic outcome than skin glue. Unfortunately, 13 days later, the dissolvable sutures had not dissolved at all. They remained firmly in place and appeared to interfere with normal healing. When my son later bumped the same area, we took him to Children's Hospital Los Angeles, where the emergency physician questioned why the sutures were still present after nearly two weeks. The physician at Children's Hospital also questioned the placement of one of the sutures. The injury was a single straight-line laceration, yet one suture appears to be positioned away from the laceration itself. I am not alleging wrongdoing--I am simply asking for an explanation of why the repair was performed this way. Equally concerning was the lack of discharge instructions. We were never told that dissolvable facial sutures sometimes require follow-up or removal if they fail to dissolve. Had we received that information, we would have contacted our pediatrician much sooner. We specifically chose dissolvable sutures because we believed they would dissolve on their own without additional intervention. What has made this experience even more frustrating is the hospital's lack of accessible communication. For a large medical center, it is surprisingly difficult to find someone to contact. The website lists information for media inquiries and medical records, but there is no clear Patient Relations email, no Emergency Department contact, and no simple online contact form for patients seeking answers. I am still waiting to understand: Why the dissolvable sutures remained intact after 13 days. What type of absorbable suture material was used. Why one suture appears to have been placed away from the laceration. Why we were never instructed to seek follow-up care if the sutures failed to dissolve. Families deserve clear communication, appropriate follow-up instructions, and a straightforward way to contact the hospital when questions arise after treatment.
