Pretty solid Neapolitan pizza, although it's not my favorite style. I went for a long run that finished in Canal Park (not Grandma's) and felt like an entire pizza was a great way to recoup the calories. The first few slices were great, but the pizza got cold fairly quickly. I'd also add that the staff seemed a little irritated when I came to pick it up, but not enough to put me off of the place. I ate some of the pizza inside, and there was some cool decor on the wall, but it was very loud and didn't feel like a place you'd want to stay in for a long time. Not sure when I'll be back, but it's worth checking out if you're in Duluth and prefer Neapolitan style pizza.

Great little casual spot for lunch. Ordered at the counter and had an easy time finding a seat. I think we hit it around the lunch rush but our order didn't take too long to come out (maybe about 15 minutes). It's basically all self service, they call your order number and you go to collect it along with plates, utensils, and napkins. It was a busy place with lots of families and young kids but not too loud. The Caesar salad was okay - definitely needed a bit more salt and pepper but it was a very generous portion. We LOVED the Tomasso (prosciutto, goat cheese, arugula, and crushed pepper) and the employee special was also quite good. The crust isn't super thin but it is structurally sound which is nice. 3 pizzas + salad was the perfect split among 4 adults. Keep your receipt for the bathroom code if you need it! Also has a 3% credit card fee.

I see why it's the top pizza! So, so good. From the pizza quality to the service, everything was excellent. We went on Wednesday which means it was pepperoni special day! The pizzas are 9" which normally would be personal-ish sizes so we got two: pepperoni and the Tomasso. OMG. Both were great, don't get me wrong, but THE TOMASSO: goat cheese, red pepper flakes, prosciutto, arugula... perfection. The crust was chewy and delicious. On the pepperoni pizza, the mozzarella was fresh and you can just taste the quality. They have daily specials and I joked to my boyfriend if we lived here we'd come weekly just for the deals. They also have (local?) ice cream and ice cream sammies!! One of the neighboring tables got cheesy breadsticks that looked so good and I also read about cinnamon sticks that are probably also delicious. If it weren't for the chocolate malt that was still lingering from earlier in the day I'm sure we would have ordered more. I'm also intrigued by their "famous" Caesar dressing and the Lift Bridge Root Beer. We spent $50ish dollars for two pizzas, a soda, a beer, and tip. Worth every penny. Update - it was also delicious later, cold, as leftovers.

We ordered takeout for dinner and walked across the street from our hotel to grab the food. It was ready fast during one of the peak dining times on a Saturday evening. The food was piping hot even after walking across the street, everything looked handcrafted and the quality was top notch. I got the Limone pizza with added prosciutto and a side of homemade Caesar dressing - 10/10 would get again. My partner got a build your own pizza and it was really tasty but the only bummer was the amount of sausage as a $2 topping for a 9inch - it looked like a pinch of sausage on top of a 2 topping pizza. Still tasted great I just think he'd choose something other than sausage next time. The cheese bread was good, crispy and seasoned well, a nice size for sharing with a few people. Their Rustica salad was really tasty with the vinaigrette and definitely big enough for sharing, and the bread bits on the side were a nice change up from your average crouton. I loved the homemade Caesar dressing for dipping my Limone pizza and cheese bread - definitely more of a strong aromatic flavor than your typical bottled Caesar but it tasted homemade and fresh and it was fun to try something different than Ranch. They have a section outside for patio dining on the nicer days, great location right off the water, nice spot to try for an upscale pizza night whether you dine in or take out.

This place was recommended by a fellow coworker when I was working in two harbors. Very good pizza. I wish they would put spinach on the menu as a topping. Not sure when I would make it back to this area. But I would definitely have this pizza again

I stopped in for lunch on a recent trip. We were going to have a big dinner later, so I just needed something light to hold me over. I ordered the caprese salad which came with rosemary bread. It hit the spot! The tomatoes and basil were very fresh. The mozzarella was rich and creamy and the balsamic was sweet. The rosemary bread was a little surprising. I thought it would be thick, but it was like a pizza crust with no toppings. It was very good, and was great to have as an accompaniment to the salad. I caught a peek of the pizzas at a table next to me, they looked pretty good too!

We ordered pizza to be delivered. This is a great service. We wanted to use the outdoor patio at our hotel. The order was delivered on time. We ate outside and enjoyed the pepperoni and green olive pizza along with their delicious cheesy garlic sticks. We would eat this pizza again for sure.

Pizza was damned good. Top notch for sure. The sauce and crust don't get any better. This place is nothing fancy and isn't really a sit down restaurant. You order your food and pick it up from the same counter. We were in town two nights and liked it so much we got two more pizzas as we were headed out of town. Ambiance nothing special but just good food.

Went because of the reviews and it was what I hoped for. The wait time wasn't bad, like 5 minutes, and it actually tasted more like a personal sized 9" NY style pizza which I'm a big fan of. That soda, not sure where it's from, but it was liquid candy. I sat outside and everything just worked out...even with parking right in front.

I've had a lot of wood fired pizza in my life and this place serves a very nice example of it. I had a margarita pizza plus peppadew peppers (hard to find) and sun dried tomatoes. Very close to perfect. We also had a white pizza with artichokes, a bit short of chokes. Plus we had the house salad which, while it was premade, was very good with a nice light dressing and different color tomatoes. We also went old school and had a bottle of Chianti with it. The perfect accompaniment at a reasonable price. Two things turned me off a bit: the decor is pretty basic and you order from a counter. In addition, you are pretty much forced to tip despite the fact we got no service, picking up our food, cleaning off our own table etc. If this place doesn't pay a living wage, why do they put that on me? PS there is a recent one star review of this place. We're sort of wondering if that's from a legitimate reviewer.

I decided to try Vitta Pizza as they were just a few minutes away from my hotel. Boy was I glad I did! The Tomasso pizza was delicious! The place was packed with people even on a a Sunday evening, but I got my pizza much faster than even they estimated. I will definitely go back next time I'm in Duluth! read more

Greeted promptly with a smile and they were busy! I was immediately told I'd be happy to take my order but there's a 45 minute wait. I ordered two make your own pizzas. They were super busy all the employees are working on their tails off. And it was hot. The pizzas were good and the price was fair. Definitely nowhere near the worst pizza I've ever had, but also not the best I've ever had. It most certainly quench my pizza craving. We ordered a pepperoni and mushroom and a sausage and mushroom. I will have to say that put a few more toppings on each pizza, they were a little light on the toppings. I would eat there again I'm not crazy about it. The place is small. It was crowded and hot and as clean as it could be for the crowd. read more

Great spot for pizza near the hotel for me. Brought a big group of family (9), so obviously time for pizza was a bit long, but that was understandable. Pizza was delicious, my partner had one with goat cheese and arugula and it was delightful! Mine was the 3 cheese and not as good, but still delish. I didn't order so I can't speak to the service, and the restaurant was loud and full, so we sat outside on the patio, which was well kept. If you're looking for a good spot for a group and a good pizza, this is a great place to go. read more

Rather slow service. They told us 45 min but it took 1hr 15min total to get our two pizzas. The Margherita pizza also came without basil and we had to go back and ask for it. The pizza itself was ok; I think Punch Pizza is better. read more

This wasn't our first time trying the Best wood fired pizza that we've ever had . I cannot say enough about how great this pizza is... dough is perfectly cooked, perfectly chewy, perfectly cooked airy crust and the toppings.... Wow... they have about 25 different toppings to choose from and the price is actually reasonable for the quality received not to mention how happy our tummies were after we had this wonderful mouth watering pizza! Sauce is perfect!!! Absolutely wonderful little gem in Canal park... and the service is amazing! Friendly and welcoming!! We will return again and again when we visit . Whenever I'm on Canal I go to Vitta. Love love love the pizza. Especially the Thomaso. And that salad called Rustica just cant be beat! I usually park behind the restaurant. That's best for me. The staff is really friendly. Even though busy, they take time to smile and appreciate me. I LIKE THAT. Exceptional for food and service.Atmosphere is vacationers who are having fun! Soooooo glad I stumbled past this on yelp! Was spending a girls weekend at one of the main hotels on the main strip there and we didn't really want to go too far for dinner. Bonus that this place was directly across the street! Ordering was painless and everyone inside was super friendly. Ordered the garlic cheese bread and a build your own pizza with procuitto and fresh mozzarella. The crust was done perfectly, just the right bit of char and no skimping on the garlic or cheese on the bread sticks. Didn't see much of the inside as we chose to grab a couple loon juices and go enjoy the super tiny, yet perfectly sized, patio out front. The patio is dog friendly and they also offer to go and delivery options. We will definitely be visiting this place the next time we are in town! read more

My son and I stopped here for a late evening dinner after a long road trip. He stood in line and ordered while I went and held a table since it was limited seating with not much social distancing. We ordered the special of the day , which was the Margherita, then the Benito and cheesy garlic bread sticks. You pay for your meal and drinks and they call your order number when it's done and you go up and get it. It's a wood fired pizza Neapolitan-style pizza. Brown airy crust with a New York flop toward the end of your slice. The Margherita, Benito and garlic bread were all very good and as described. Low top/stool and indoor/outdoor seat. Street parking. Convenient location. Decent service, even though they just take your order then cook your pizza. You do everything else by getting your drinks, getting your own silverware and napkins and busing your own table. They are a bit pricey and don't throw away your receipt. On the bottom of the receipt is the bathroom code that you will need to traverse the back of the establishment to use the rest room. I probably would return if I was in the area again. read more

There was nothing bad about Vitta but there was nothing that really stood out either. The pizza was good but not great. I had a create your own pizza with onions and extra mozzarella. The sauce was good. The crust was a little chewier than I like. The pizza is a good size for one person. I ordered delivery so I have not seen the interior of the location nor do I have any experience with Vitta's staff, so I can't comment on either of those aspects of Vitta. Overall, it was relatively mediocre. Not bad, but nothing about it made me want to rush back here the next time I'm up north. read more

Very yummy pizza if you're in duluth! They have cool combinations and can make your own but its made in the fire oven and they have the best ranch dip to go with it. The pizza was so-so. We had the Lolita. I've had better, but would eat this again. The star of the show was the Caesar salad. It came out in a plastic bowl that wasn't worthy of the salad it contained. It was mostly Romain with some shaved Parmesan cheese. Unassuming. I have to admit, it looked a bit plain although the Romain was beautiful. It was pre-tossed in the dressing as it should have been. When your girlfriend says she wants pizza, you get the pizza! She got the Margherita pizza, and I got the Silvio and I added some peppers to mine! We also shared some cheesy garlic bread on a Saturday because you know they got the special that day! People can also bring the doggos and puppers into the outdoor seating and people can stare at the dogs as they eat their pizzas. This was altogether a lovely experience and they have outdoor seating to kick back with the person you love. I am a big fan of places that got that wood fired oven and the vibes are immaculate and I will definitely come back again. read more

One of my favorites was the guestbook they invite visitors to sign before leaving. It's details like that that make a place feel extra special. Fresh tuna, creamy avocado on the inside with a crispy wonton shell. Nice citrus ponzu sauce but the real star was the Japanese inspired coleslaw. Curry mussels. Just a big bowl of deliciousness. Delicious tender mussels with a cravable curry sauce. Fresh bread on the side to soak up all the liquid gold in the bowl. Enjoy. Lobster roll. Freshly prepared lobster served cold in a buttery toasty bun. It was as good as it looked. Homemade chips on the side added the needed texture and crunch to the dish. Grilled artichoke toast. This was the surprise of the meal. It was an artichoke lovers dream. I would drive 2.5 hours for this dish without hesitation. It was that good.
