I came in to see Dr. Kuhn as a new patient to review my moles.. I have no issues with that.. I decided, to get some Botox with her I came in Nov. 25th, 2025. She did a full Botox treatment. She did a horrible job..! I was not satisfied at all..! I came in the following week to show her the results. She suggested to wait another week which I did per her request.. The results did not improve..! I still had many wrinkle lines on my forehead, around my eyes, my eyebrows were lopsided.. I came back in after two weeks for a review and a touch up...(Dec. 9th) Worst mistake my eyebrows got worse, and I still have lines.. She bruised the same side of my face twice. I Do Not recommend her at all..!!!! She's not experienced with Botox and she gets flustered if you have any complaints...!! Her bedside manners are not great. She says she listens, but she doesn't hear you.. This is one week post touch up and I still have lines in the areas I told her were my concerns.. She must be over diluting the Botox for it not to have good results.. read more

Dr Kuhn is always late and I have seen her for years. She rushes through a check-up and brushes off concerns and it doesn't seem like she wants to hear what you have to say. I'm sure she's okay if you just get routine skin cancer checks, but if you have an actual issue like eczema, acne, or something else, I'd recommend not going here. read more

Going to the dermatologist can be scary, but Northside dermatology made my appointment a breeze! I went in for a skin cancer screening as well as a few questions in regards to different areas of my skin. Dr Kuhn was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and I felt at ease with my nerves. I did end up needing a skin biopsy which was not desirable but was needed for further testing. I had stitches placed under my eye and returned a week later for removal. I am beyond impressed with the care the staff took with me! They made me feel a lot less stressed about the entire biopsy. If you are looking for a dermatologist on the north side I would highly recommend booking an appointment with Dr. Kuhn! read more

You don't know me, but trust me when I say this is the doctor you want. Dr. Kuhn is extremely knowledgeable and amazing. I was a little surprised by some of the reviews on here because I am so happy with her. I am having my mom - who lives in Evansville - my husband's family and all my coworkers come here if they need a dermatologist because Dr. Kuhn is just that GOOD. I stumbled upon this dermatologist office by accident after calling a dozen places in Indianapolis, Muncie and Anderson looking for a doctor who could look at a growth on my husband's nose. (My husband can't take off for work and poor planning on our part meant it would be months before he made an appointment and I was very concerned about the flaking, bleeding spot.) I don't know if the receptionist heard the concern in my voice or what, but we were lucky to get an appointment that day. The office is immaculate, the staff is very friendly and we always get in quickly. Dr. Kuhn was professional and I realized during our first visit that she knew her stuff. (This might be why some people have left poor reviews. When you are an expert in your field, you know when something is serious or not and maybe people didn't think she examined a spot for long enough - who knows.) Anyway, Dr. Kuhn examined my husband's face and noted several other areas of concern. She was quick, thorough and rattled off half a dozen things she observed during the examination to her male nurse. The spot was removed and came back as cancerous. She referred my husband to a plastic surgeon to remove more skin around the area. We were so happy with our experience I scheduled an appointment for myself about a month later. Despite having freckles and heavy skin damage, Dr. Kuhn did not have as many concerns about the areas I pointed out, but that is the difference between a doctor who knows what they are looking at. (Trust me, I have been to doctors who are clueless, but they act concerned.) I feel like Dr. Kuhn spends her time with patients wisely instead of doctors that pacify patients when they know it is nothing to worry about. So here is the kicker. I have been to several doctors for years and had tons of things removed because they were precancerous. What Dr. Kuhn WAS worried about was a spot on my lip I had already had removed by a different doctor (it was basil cell). At the time it was removed, I felt the doctor who did it missed the spot I had originally pointed out! I was so worried about it I went to TWO other doctors to have them look at it and I felt like no one wanted to contradict my first doctor. I did not share any of this with Dr. Kuhn until she asked about my the spot. Now she is ordering all my records and she said even if the records say everything is OK, she might do another biopsy because of the appearance of the area. If you want someone who is knowledgeable, who listens and doesn't monkey around - Dr. Kuhn is where you want to go. It might just save your life. read more

I've gone to Dr. Kuhn for probably 8+ years after leaving another northside derm office that consistently ran an hour behind on appointments. Her staff is super friendly, she is very knowledgeable and quite chatty once you get to know her. I 2-3 times a year. She is thorough and answers all my questions. read more

DO NOT GO HERE - had two marks that I wanted to remove from my face. Dr Kuhn performed cautery on them and said it would heal within 10 days. Took 3 months to heal and the marks are more visible than they were before. I didn't get my money back and she just acted shocked that it didn't heal. Went to three other dermatologists and they all agreed that laser removal would have been more appropriate - which is way less intensive and were all confused as to why she did cautery. Very very upset - went to speak to her about it twice and she didn't care to give me the money back or provide any options to make up for the horrible experience. Please go somewhere else. read more

This is my first negative review ever I had no problems with the first appointment. I found out later Dr kuhn apparently does not follow up at all. They took 2 skin samples for biopsy has been 5-6 weeks no call back yet. The day of the visit I was told That a presccription would be called in that day did not happen. Actually it was called in one week ltater this one cost $185 not covered by my Insurance. 3 days later a second med was called in . This med was covered prescription lasted 4 days I tried refilling it I was told Dr Kuhn refused it with no explanation. AS of today 4-25 -19 I have yet to hear from them I think Dr kuhn should be reviewed by the state med board. read more

Doctor didn't listen to my situation at all. She wanted to maximize my insurance dollars. My story: I get a random acne like spot on my face about once or twice a year. I started to get these in 2003, saw a Dermatologist who prescribed a common cream (desonate cream) and it cleared it up immediately. I have kept that cream for the past 16 years and every time I get one I apply the cream and a few days later it is gone. Well after 16 years I was starting to run out of the cream. Since I haven't seen a derm doctor in 16 years I found one close to my office (Northside dermatology). I went in and told Dr. Kuhn about my history and experience with these spots. She obviously didn't listen as immediately she wanted to cut the very small almost gone spot out and put a stitch in my face...I said, hold on a second I don't know if cutting it out is necessary as the cream will eliminate the spot in a few days. She got upset, said something smart to me and walked out. I have since called asking to either write me a simple prescription for the cream I KNOW works or don't bother billing me. So far neither has happened. I'm not a big review writer but I felt obligated as I don't want anyone else to waste their time, money or be put it an unnecessary position by a railroad like doctor. read more

Do NOT go here! This place has the worst patient service I have ever received! The office staff expects you to pay in full on the day of service before you even receive an EOB back from you insurance. It is clear that this office and doctor only care about the financial gain of their practice rather than being concerned about the actual health of their patients. I understand that a doctor's office is a business, but where is the patient service component? Not here... I asked for the doctor herself to call me, so we could discuss. I have yet to hear from her. Probably won't. Please go somewhere else, even if it is less convenient. You will be better off in the long run. read more

Dr. Kuhn has treated me for over four years. Her staff is great and her thorough attention to my condition is reassuring. Even though I have moved away from Fishers, I drive 2.5 hours to her practice. I highly recommend Northside Dermatology. read more

Seemed clueless and they only take care of 1 issue at a time. I was charged $104.00 even though I had insurance. They just gave me an ointment and then wanted me to come back a month later, so they could take more money from me. The ointment wasn't even an antibiotic and I just ended up diagnosing myself online later. I went elsewhere and found they were much better, gave me an antibiotic ointment and antibiotic pills---unlike this place. I would have gone back to this place a month later, but they didn't call to remind me and I actually got mixed up with another business, thinking it was them. I may go back, just for the heck of it, but this place seems more about taking your money and giving you minimal help. read more

Although I felt Dr. Kuhn was more than competent, the staff treated me with disdain from the get go. She has a few great assistants, but they cannot make up for the rest of them including the admin. staff. I can only imagine how poorly they would treat someone older and in true need of compassion. I do believe that Dr. Kuhn is a good doctor. I liked her demeanor and knowledge. Unfortunately, I was lied about my situation. I feel that negligence on their part caused me to pay extra and they lied to cover it up. I was told that I had a very common, non cancerous spot and that if I wanted to leave it, it was fine, or I could choose to have it removed. One of the nurses called my insurance company to see if any of it would be covered. Because it was considered cosmetic, they would not cover any of it. I elected to have it removed anyway. I asked them not to send it through my insurance, and to not send it to the lab so that I wouldn't be billed for something that I was told didn't need to be tested. I was told that if I paid upfront, I would receive a 20% discount for paying out of pocket which I happily did. Wouldn't you know 3 months later I received a bill for $141.00 from the lab. The office also sent it through my insurance, which did pay a portion. I called and asked why they would send it to the lab, and they said it is standard procedure to send it to the lab because it could have cancerous cells. How confusing. I was told it doesn't matter if I left it because it was no big deal. I was told that I signed a consent form stating standard procedure means everything gets sent to the lab whether or not I state that I don't want it to be sent. Funny how nobody mentioned that to me upfront when we discussed what I wanted. Funny that nobody ever gave me my test results when I got my stitches out. Also funny that I'm now being told that I did not receive a 20% discount for paying up front. I feel like the office staff are robots and don't listen to each individual patient as people. Now they are NOT willing to pay for their oversight and I am stuck with this unnecessary bill. I canceled my upcoming appointment and and now looking for a new dermatologist if anyone has a recommendation! read more

Was new to the area and most people recommended Dr. Kuhn. My experience was average. The front desk staff is really friendly (especially Linda). Dr. Kuhn was pleasant but I did not feel she was overly through in skin check. I felt it was odd she brought in a male assistant durning a skin check on a female patient. Made me uncomfortable. My old dermatologist put of the area was a better experience. read more

The office staff and nurses were very friendly, but I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone specifically because of Dr. Kuhn. I was given little instructions, felt disrespected, and was shown very little compassion. I was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma (a cancer), and was forced to wait a month to get it removed. A week after she removed the mole I was told she didn't get it all, which is inexcusable for such a simple procedure (it isn't open heart surgery). Unfortunately I wasn't made aware they do not do the Moh's procedure here, where they check the mole under a microscope to make sure they get it all. Due to this mishap I was forced to use Aldara, a cream that helps your body kill cancer cells. As you can imagine a topical cream that kills cancer is very harsh, and any healing my body had done after the surgery was quickly reversed as it left a literal hole in my back. I blame this mostly on the fact that Dr. Kuhn gave me the wrong dosage and no directions for Aldara. Even though each packet of Aldara says it is one dose, for my situation each dose should be 1/3 of a packet and not the full thing. Also multiple websites explicitly state (often in bolded text) that Aldara shouldn't be left on for more than 8 hours. So at the beginning, I left a full packet of Aldara on my wound for nearly 24 hours at a time. It took ME making a phone call to the office and some online research to get this straight, when I should have been told this originally. When I brought all of this up to Dr. Kuhn and how frustrated I was with the entire process, she seemed to care very little. She never apologized for her mistakes, and actually seemed upset with me. As she cleaned out my wound, which looked infected at this point, the nurse asked if I was in pain from the alcohol and scrubbing she was doing on the area. When I said yes, she didn't say a word and actually scrubbed harder as she poured more alcohol in the wound. She then left the room in silence, even though I had many more questions. I made the nurse go back and have her explain where the remaining cancer cells were. Dr. Kuhn never came back out to see me, and just gave a drawing to the nurse to show me. A month later after the surgery, and just now I was finding out where she missed the cancer cells which is where I should have been putting the Aldara cream. I felt very disrespected by Dr. Kuhn and that I wasn't given the proper time of day. To Dr. Kuhn, it seems like I was nothing more than a chart on a clipboard and that my complaints were completely invalid and a nuisance to her. She seemed to only care about getting me in and out as quickly as possible, and that I paid on the way out. read more

I am surprised by the above review. I visited Northside Dermatology a few months ago and will not be back. Dr.Kuhn asked if I had acne on my back but never looked at it, she would not talk to me about skin care but preferred to delegate that to another employee. She barley looked at my face and I felt like I got the standard line for people who walk in with adult acne. When the second person came in to talk about skin care I was told all about the wonderful skin care system they have for 25 dollars. It was talked up a great deal and anything I could purchase from the drug store was talked down. I finally agreed to try it for 25 dollars and was then told my bill was over 70 dollars. Oops they forgot to mention that the cleanser is 25 and the serum is 36 and they charged me a co pay. I should have walked away but foolishly I tried it. They are not wonderful and are incredibly over priced. The office later had to issue me a check because they were not suppose to charge me a co-pay. A lot more time was spent trying to sell me on this skin care line than was ever spent looking at my acne problem. The prescription samples I received expired a week prior to my appointment and the doctor neglected to write the prescription for me. When I called and asked the secretary to have them called in to the pharmacy I was treated with suspicion like a patient who was trying to get extra drugs. I have moved a lot in the last decade and gone to a variety of dermatologists but this on seemed the least concerned about me as a patient of any that I have encountered. I am shocked that she is the only dermatologist in Fishers and am looking for an alternative. read more
