Wonderful experience. Would definitely recommend......but The only reason I give this one star is due to one person, Misty who is in charge of FMLA paperwork. This particular FMLA that my employer required was not something she was familiar with. The form was filled out incorrectly multiple times. Multiple messages, calls and emails were left to no avail. Finally reached her colleague, who then filled it out by herself within 2 hours, because she left early. Must recently I asked for a return to work form. Misty once again did not respond to multiple emails. One box needed to be marked that I have no restrictions and can return with a date became another mountain. Like before she never once called me back and after multiple calls had to explain to her coworker that by not filling out this paperwork, I could lose my job. The one and only email she finally replies, with we will not extend your leave. I never asked her to extend my time off. Again multiple calls, to wherein which her colleague said, she may or may not get back to you right away but we'll backlog the date and make sure it's done. In the end she submitted a fax with incorrect info and incorrect location. The experience was wonderful but turned sour due to the inability to fill 2 pieces of paper. Emergency surgery is not easy and to almost beg for a correctly filled paper is extremely exhausting. I won't be asking again as it appears it won't ever be filled out correctly. My experience was like a lavishly decorated cupcake with a little poop on top.

Luckily, you will find both at Naab Road Surgical Center. I was not a patient at the surgical center, just a loved one in the waiting room. But from my perspective, this place runs like a well-oiled machine. I thought we would be in there for at least three hours, but we were out in 2 hours, and I didn't feel like they rushed anything -- they just knew what they were doing. From a patient's perspective: The nurses and doctors all took the time to explain the procedure, made sure to answer questions, and made sure you're comfortable. You get warm blankets, too. That's a nice touch. Everyone we encountered was friendly and professional. You could tell that they had everything under control, which puts a person's mind at ease. As for the waiting room: It's a little boring, so be sure to bring reading material or your laptop or what have you. They have free wifi, but you need to ask the person at the front desk for the password. There's free coffee, tea and hot chocolate, and there's a vending machine with snacks and beverages. There's also a water fountain with a water-bottle refilling station. There's one big TV, but it was on a weather channel. I brought my laptop with me to work while I waited, but we were in and out so quickly that I didn't have much time to get anything done! I like a medical facility that is orderly and gets you in and out in a timely manner.

I discovered this location when I needed an urgent care (they have one attached), and dang is it…read morethe best decision I've ever made. For context, I'm a medical school professor and very comfortable in a medical setting and know what is and is not acceptable behavior. The PA I saw, Maddie, was personable, very informative, and actually listened... I know that should be what you expect at every doctor's office, but with privatization of insurance that's not always what you get. Heck, she listened and cared more than my students who are REQUIRED to to pass (ha!). She was thorough, listened to all concerned addressed them properly and provided all necessary important information including referrals and follow-ups. She was also incredibly smart and knowledgeable about a lot of topics, and you can tell because she doesn't throw a ton of big words at you to seem smart, it was demonstrated in her ability to describe things at a level that people without medical experience could understand. HIGHLY recommend. The medical assistant, Keniesha, who came in to draw blood and run an EKG was polite, knowledgeable and professional while making me feel at ease during understandably uncomfortable tests. Office staff is friendly, polite, helpful, and great at getting you all set up and going. I was taken back on time for my appointment, no unnecessary waiting (although it's totally understandable when it happens) and a very proficient & excellent overall experience

There was a line formed and the clinic did not open until 8:00 a.m. Allyson was at the front door in the cold, allowing patients to sign up for their clinic visit. Allyson called me by phone, as I waited in my warm car, when it was time for my appointment. You are required to wash your hands before coming into the waiting area; and, of course wear a mask which must cover your mouth AND your nose. Conrad was the associate who administered my Covid-19 test. Conrad explained the procedure (he also took my temperature and pulse oximetry measurements) and performed my nasal Covid-19 test. Conrad was professional, reassuring and kind as was Allyson. The pandemic has been horrible but these two associates made this process easy and stress free. I thank them for their hard work and dedication for risking their lives to assist the public.

It is truly off…read moreputting to walk into a facility that I am visiting as a new patient and to be ignored by all four of the ladies at the front desk. I finally took the initiative to check myself in on a kiosk in the corner. I arrived 20 minutes early for my appointment to allow for time to complete check in and other new patient procedures; this is a process that I am very familiar with as I see a high number of specialists. I check in and I am again, completely ignored by the front desk staff. There is a sign in the office that states, "if you have been waiting for more than 30 minutes, please check in with our front desk staff for an update". When I did go up the desk, the girl I walked up to was having a conversation about a tv show with one of her coworkers, she looked at me, rolled her eyes and waited for me to say something. I asked the girl if she could check to make sure I was properly checked in (since I checked in on a kiosk) and she said "yep" but she did not ask me for my name or anything that would identify me to confirm the reason for the delay and the tardiness of the clinic that was 15 minutes past my appointment time. All in all, I waited for 40 minutes in the lobby, everything after leaving the lobby was much better. The doctor was nice and explained things to make sure I understood. I was surprised by the lack of preparation by the doctor because he did not review my test results and studies before meeting me. He attempted to send me out to get an electrical study that I had already completed and was in my chart which he had in front of him. I had to get x rays that were done in the clinic and the results were immediate. Then I had two injections, one into each wrist and I was sent upstairs for physical therapy to pick up two wrist braces. That was another 20 minute wait before being called back to to sit while the associate was making my braces. Left hand he got on the first attempt and the right hand we had to redo three times due to errors. Finally, in the end I was able to leave but from the time that I walked in the front door to the time that I left was from 10:37 AM to 12:36 PM. I am definitely not excited to go back for a follow up appointment, based solely on the customer service and the extremely long appointment that I had today. Hopefully the follow up is better. Ascension runs the place and they are not a healthcare provider--they are a venture capital firm…read morewith a side hustle in religious-based medicine. They do it so badly that during the COVID-19 pandemic the governor of Indiana activated the National Guard to staff the place. I am disabled and had the misfortune to be taken here for a cardiac event. I was placed on a bed in the hall, never put in a room and never even given a blanket while I lay there unattended and shivering. No one told me anything about what tests would be run until someone showed up to do an X-ray, EKG or draw blood. No one told me how to access my records at any point in time, so I had to look up online how to do that. The doctor spent maybe 3 minutes total with me and didn't even have the decency to stop and look me in the eye after saying I was being discharged. He wouldn't even answer any questions I had. I was given no follow-up instructions or any aftercare advice. Most hospital emergency rooms will ask if you are having thoughts of hurting yourself, someone else, or being abused. They didn't even do that! I wrote in my journal that as a person with PTSD I am accustomed to my physical symptoms being dismissed and that's one thing, but it was another thing entirely for St. V's to treat me as if they knew I might have a physical problem and did not give a damn whether it killed me. The scary thing is I've seen worse, including turning the bill for a rape kit over to collections, and a nurse in their ER having to nag the neurosurgery unit to give her 19-year-old uninsured son his pain medication while he was recovering from surgery for an aneurysm--getting called a "bitch" for her efforts. Avoid this place at all costs. This place is the epitome of everything wrong with healthcare in Indiana, if not the United States.
