The hospital is clean, bright, good dining, good amenities, and visitor bed (I slept there with my daughter's visits) is comfortable. The doctors and nurses here are the really deal! We have received excellent care every visit.

I couldn't give 5 stars because of the uncaring attitude of the front desk staff in the children's surgical area. Despite this I would still recommend this children's hospital.

In November, 2019, Dr. Wyant, and the entire office, moved from the Georgetown Medical Plaza to Marsh Road in Intech Park off of West 71st Street. Dr. Wyant, and group, is now with the Optum Network. Dr. Wyant has been my Primary Care Physicians (PCP) for many, many years and I still highly recommend him. He has absorbed some retiring physicians patients so his wait time has increased but I take that into consideration on my personal calendar and scheduling. He's so worth it since he gives all his patients the necessary time while still being efficient and productive. He truly cares about the health and well being of his patients. The new location sets back off Marsh Road, is a one level building and has ample parking. As you enter through the automatic sliding doors you're directly standing in the lobby. The same smiling faces you knew at the old office greet you as you enter. The charming office waiting room is large, brightly lite and I personally enjoyed the new comfortable chairs. The convenient internal lab was relocated with the office so no need to find a new lab for lab orders from your doctor. The new lab is much larger than the old closet size lab. Just remember this lab is for in-house Optum doctor's orders only. The new location is closer for some and farther for others but honestly only 10-15 minutes from the old office off Georgetown Road. Easy on/off access off 465 onto West 71st Street exit.

This is the IU Health - Glendale Town Center practice, a practice devoted to primary care and also…read morepediatrics. There's also a lab available in this office. For those familiar with Glendale Town Center, this is located on the second floor of the offices section of the complex on the side directly off of East 62nd Street. There's a small lobby/storefront area directly next to Mattress Firm that has an elevator that will take you to the second floor. There's also a set of stairs available for those who prefer. I needed to establish care with a new primary care physician as my previous one relocated to Shelbyville and is just a bit too far away for me. I'd previously looked at appointments here, however, they were a couple months out and I skipped it. However, because I attend an IU Health clinic elsewhere they were able to get me in within a couple weeks. They do have automatic doors for those who need them. That's a plus. I also noted very quickly that this was one of the better looking and cleaner IU Health clinics I've experienced. I arrived a good 15-20 minutes before my scheduled check-in time and checked in at the front desk. Because I'm an established IU Health patient, I didn't really need to do much else. I waited in the waiting room until I was called. I was taken back in a timely manner. They asked me how I usually got weighed (I don't usually as most clinics are not set up for wheelchair users) and I did note they didn't have any of the modern tech that would do that without a scale. I was taken into an exam room - very small room that would definitely not be considered ADA compliant. It was so small I had to move quite a bit in order for the employees to get around me. I did like that they had an exam bed that was lower to the ground and adjustable. However, this was definitely not an appropriate room for a wheelchair user. My doctor was Dr. Boyce. We had a nice conversation about my needs for the day. She only works part-time in the clinic and we also discussed that. It was a fine appointment - not outstanding, however, there was really nothing wrong with it. I was somewhat hesitant to establish with IU as they are not the top tier of my insurance, however, Dr. Boyce seems nice and this is very close to my home. So, it should work. My hope is that in the future I can utilize a more appropriate exam room. However, overall, this was a solid experience with friendly staff and a warm, comfortable atmosphere.

My Doctor is pretty busy so I have also been seeing the nurse practitioner here as well. I have been happy with my care here. I think the challenge is that they are so busy I don't think you can get in very easily as a new patient. I also like the only health portal which is tied int Community Hospital. The facility is pretty good and easily accessible to the side of the community hospital property. Yes it's expensive but so is getting a new strut on my car. Healthcare is important and given the amount of overhead and regulations and other things I don't think my visits are out of line with the general medical industry here.

We were there 9-5 but hubster was able to sleep first time in days after arriving home. They took tests, had a cat scan, and the doctor kept trying different meds while consulting with the neurologist who came up with a cocktail of meds. Not all caregivers are the same, as I observed others that day, but we were blessed. Now on to day 2 and hopeful for healing...

I'm still giving Saxony a good rating because overall I would say it is the best hospital I have…read morebeen to but I need to update to share my last experience about 2 weeks ago. First of all, more than once (2-3 times recently probably) something has gone wrong with a lab test and either they forgot to test for part of what they meant to in the first place or it got contaminated and had to be redone. I understand things happening because we live in a world with germs, but having to come back multiple times because they "forgot to do the 'sensitivity' part of a (culture and sensitivity) urine test" is ridiculous. Sometimes it feels like the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. All they need to do is read the order from the doctor to find out what needs to be done, and make sure it all gets done. When I first got there, I was called up to the check-in desk and the process was started to check me in, but they were backed up with patients (the receptionist's words were, "I'm going to go ahead and do your registration out here too because they are swamped back at the windows"--after checking in at the front desk there is usually no wait to go down the hall to the window to register). After standing at the desk for about 5 minutes--maybe more, I'm not sure--I was told to go have a seat in the lab waiting area because the computer was freezing up and they couldn't complete the registration process. They would call me up when it unfroze. After sitting there for another 5 minutes or so, another patient walked over, obviously having been told the same thing, and whispered under her breath, with a roll of her eyes, "hurry up and wait!" :-D After just a few minutes waiting there, I was called back by the tech, after sorting out the confusion as to why I didn't yet have my check-in bracelet or stickers. The tech who took me back obviously wasn't extremely happy to be there (or she was feeling the stress of the front desk) because when she took me down the hall she didn't even verify my name or birthdate for the computer system as they usually do, and she practically threw the specimen cup at me and sent me on my way across the hall, without offering to hold the door or help me carry it (I use forearm crutches to walk, and although I am perfectly capable of carrying things like that the courteous gesture is always appreciated). The second reason I am lowering my rating from this last visit is because of the restroom. Every time I have used the lab restroom for a test, it has been almost spotless--no trash on the floor, clean/dry sink and surrounding area, soap and paper towel dispenser full. This time, however, none of that was true. There was water around the edge of the sink, the paper towel dispenser was empty, so I had to dry my hands on my pants, there was a giant trash bag full of trash sitting ON TOP OF the waste basket, and (this might have been the grossest part--it has happened a few other times) there was a full specimen cup in the metal receptacle when I opened it to put mine in! The lab techs had obviously not checked before I went in to make sure they got everything. I don't know if this had been an extra busy day (I think it was mid-afternoon on a Friday that I was there), if they were understaffed or what, but no one wants to use a restroom in that condition. This was definitely not the best visit I have had here but I love this hospital for other reasons so overall these are not enough reasons to turn me away. I just hope they work on figuring out how to handle really busy days with high volumes of patients.

Not only was the he disrespectful, but he rushed through the appointment without allowing me to ask questions. When I tried to seek clarification on my health concerns, I was brushed off and told to save my questions for the next appointment. This lack of attentiveness and dismissive attitude left me feeling unheard and undervalued, and disrespected as a patient. I would not recommend Fadi Wehbi to anyone seeking professional and thorough medical care. This guy shouldn't be allow to practice as a doctor. Truly a horrible experience.

Our son's adenoid removal surgery and mole biopsy landed us here. The hospital itself is full of natural light and plants, giving off a peaceful tone. All of the staff we encountered in the pediatric surgery unit were super sweet and total professionals at navigating a kiddo surgery. I was anxious going into it all not knowing how our four year old would react but they immediately put my mind at ease with all of their childcare specialists and extra bells and whistles (stickers, car "ride" to drive back to surgery, etc).

While IU Health is not my tier 1 provider with my insurance, it's in-network. When it came up that I would require another surgery to address an ongoing issue, I began exploring IU Health North in Carmel in the hope that I would find a smaller, more personal care setting without compromising the quality of care I need as a complex patient. I was told to arrive at 8am for a 10am surgery. Registration is on the first floor adjacent to the information booth. The surgery suite is on the second floor. From surgery, I would go to recovery (of course) and then be kept overnight. Parking is free at IU North (NOTE: While I realize it's a bit of a stereotype, I'm not quite sure why the wealthier Hamilton County hospital offers free parking and the downtown Indy hospital does not, but I digress). While this is a bigger hospital than you might expect, I still consider it one of IU's satellites along with Avon, Saxony, Morgan and others. I arrived on time. Registration was simple via kiosk or with a person. Generally, the person is there to ask questions and direct. Once registered, I was sent up to surgery and the hosting area was almost immediately off the elevators. I checked in, got my arm band, and waited for my turn. I was taken back a bit early by a friendly technician. They got me settled in. Then the nurse and, of course, visits from anesthesiology and the physician doing my surgery. I'd informed the team up front of some trauma care needs. I was pleasantly surprised that this information had been clearly communicated and addressed. This doesn't always occur so thoroughly. I was grateful. I was in surgery on time. The surgery went well and I recovered quickly enough that I'm not sure I was even offered water in recovery. They had me on the floor fairly quickly. I got one nurse who was finally able to help me address an allergy inaccuracy. I was on the fourth floor. Interestingly enough, I was on the maternity ward (post partum). Apparently, they use part of the area for overflow. I was only in overnight, however, I didn't have a negative issue with nursing or techs. All were caring, compassionate, and for the most part attentive (I wasn't a high need patient, so it's hard to gauge attentiveness). The food? Definitely average. I took photos for three out of the four meals. The cafeteria downstairs is definitely better. I'm sure it's the same team, but I'd take this over Methodist most days - they get it to you more quickly, it's warmer, and those taking the order are simply friendlier. I figured IU North would be a little more high tech: 1) It's in Carmel and 2) It's a newer hospital having been built in 2005 with a cancer center addition in 2020. Most of the staff didn't seem to know much about the hospital, a weird deficit in terms of building a culture. Easy questions - like capacity and number of beds - were met with blank stares. It took forever for someone to figure out that there's a phone charger actually on the beds (it worked perfectly with my iPhone 16). I'd brought a charging cord believing that would be true, but could never figure it out. Finally, someone did. I was discharged as expected the next day. Discharge was a bit weird as it wasn't done by my nurse for the day. Instead, there was a virtual nurse (an actual person presenting virtually). Quite honestly, I hated it. It was impersonal and they clearly hadn't read my situation (for example, making comments about walking to a footless wheelchair user). I was also surprised no staff escorted me out. Yes, I had a ride. It still felt weird. I got my meds for home from an in-house pharmacy (Noting that I'd told them to send it to my pharmacy). While it wasn't preferred, it was convenient and it was delivered to my room so I could pay. The atmosphere here is calmer, cleaner, and aesthetically more pleasing. It's MUCH quieter. Instead of room bells buzzing, they have a silent system that greatly reduces the noise. Yes, it's still a hospital and hard to sleep. However, it's much improved. I also found the beds vastly superior to Methodist. Overall, I'd call this a good but not great experience. There are still some bugs to work out. However, the care was great - the procedure I needed was actually only okayed for this location recently. I was very pleased with the trauma-informed care and greatly appreciated the quality care for a generally basic but very necessary inpatient surgery.
