They used to do great work, I used them for 3 years in a row. This year for some reason they just can't make a schedule. I booked my appt back in Feb. and was told it would be 3-4 weeks. It's now been 11 weeks, and even after giving them three opportunities to come out, they never showed when they said they would. I called this company 3 times over the course of 37 days and got pushed off every time. This company must be rolling in it because they obviously couldn't care less about my business. I couldn't get them to call me back so I had to call them every time and then they schedule to come out to clean my gutters and don't even call to say they can't come, they just don't show up. I was finally able to make an appointment with Northside to have my gutters cleaned and new screens put on. They did an excellent job and the new screens look great. And no more water going over the gutters instead of through the downspout. The final total was a bit more than the estimate ($900 vs $1300), but I know estimates are just that, estimates. SCAM! STAY AWAY! Back in 2019 I had a gut feeling about this company being a scam. We live in a two story home with vaulted ceilings so an extendable ladder at the minimum or even a cherry picker is needed to reach our gutters. They claimed to have cleaned our gutters and repaired a seam (that still leaks) one day and called for payment when we never even received an invoice. I work from home and I never heard or saw a car, person(s) or ladder. Our neighborhood is quite intimate and our shared driveway access is small so it's very easy to hear any sort of car or people outside. In hindsight I wish we had never paid them but I didn't know any better as a new homeowner. This company took advantage of us since we're unable to see our gutters on our two story home. I vowed that I would never use their services again, or lack thereof. Fast forward to 2021, I received an email yesterday stating that they wanted to "give a heads up that they would be out today to take care of the gutters and to pay the guys directly if we were home. Or call in with a credit card" I emailed back saying that I didn't agree to any sort of consistent maintenance so I would not be paying them. And that I wasn't convinced that they had actually done any of the work they claimed to have done back in 2019. Charles Rollins very unprofessionally opened up his reply with, "I'm not sure what you are all upset about." And even contradicted himself by saying, "You are not on a maintenance program. You never have been. You didn't hear or see us because we were not there [yesterday]". Then why am I getting an email for maintenance that I never authorized, nonetheless demanding for payment when Charles CONFIRMED that no one came by? Based on previous reviews from others and this recent interaction with Charles, it has only solidified my distrust for this company that lacks customer service and overall knowledge on how to even run a good business. I have used Northside Gutter cleaning since they purchased Any Gutters Cleaned, twice a year. This year they told me the cost of cleaning more than doubled to $700 a visit. I was told I had a slate roof. Never had a slate roof as they well know as they clean it. My tenant received a VERY rude email from Charles whom I believe is the CEO. Not the way to win customers!!!! "I understand if Robyn is broke. There are cheaper services out there.If it weren't a slate roof we could clean it for $250. It should have never been done for $342. Since i don't pay the guys commission per job that forces them to do lightning fast work sometimes they are more concerned about quality not so much about the price. When the roof starts to leak from being walked on. If she has the money i do know a good slate company that can fix it. They are not cheap but they are good and they warranty there work. They quoted a job for $600. Showed up without advance notice to ensure I would not be there. When I arrived home, they claimed to have done a lot of unauthorized work and presented a bill for $5,850. When I told the owner that they were not authorized to do the work they claimed, he got combatative, refused to have his crew leave my property until he was paid, and threatened to 'have my assets seized '. This was beyond bait and switch and likely criminal. Do not do business with this company. But if you must, insist that everything be put in writing before you allow them to access your property. I made the mistake of trusting them because I had done business with them in the past. They are clearly now just in cash grab mode instead of customer retention. read more

My mother needed to have her gutters cleaned and they told her it would be 6 weeks. From then on, they have been very difficult to get a hold of. She finally reached them and they told her they would be out the next day (July 12) between 10-4. She blocked her whole day and cancelled important plans. THEY NEVER SHOWED UP. THEY NEVER EVEN CALLED. She tried to call them and she can't get a hold of them. We don't find this very professional. She waited 6 weeks and got stood up with not even the courtesy of a call. We saw that our neighbors were having their gutters cleaned so I walked over and spoke with the Northside Gutter Cleaning team. They gave me a fair and accurate quote and asked if I could contact the office and request an appointment. I called and they schedule the crew to come to our house when they completed our neighbors job. They came to our house and were done very quickly. The gutters are clean now. They also used blowers to remove the gutter debris from the yard. We are very happy with the service and we will definitely be using Northside Gutter Cleaning going forward read more

I used Northside Gutter Cleaning for gutter cleaning and pressure washing my house, front walkway and a very long concrete driveway. I was very happy with the pressure washing. The entire job was completed in one day four days after I called Northside. In all honesty, I can't evaluate the gutter cleaning until the next rainfall. I will update this review then. I met the owner, Chuck Rollins, and I found him to be a knowledgeable and personable guy. I learned from Mr. Rollins that they do not automatically remove gutter guards (which my gutters have) to clean out the gutters. Chuck explained that they pressure washed the exterior of the gutters and sprayed through the mesh screens to clean away the debris. Chuck told me that it would have cost significantly more for them to remove the guards before they cleaned the gutters. I would have preferred knowing this when I booked the job but I also should have asked about the gutter guards when I made the call. Hopefully this will be a moot point and my gutters won't overflow during the next rainfall. read more

At the end of the day, they did a quality job for a reasonable price....which is what we all want. There were some hurdles to get someone there and then there were some questions about price for one of the jobs, but Charles was helpful and reasonable. I understand that they need to put food on their table and they're not running a charity to homeowners, but also don't want to feel like I'm getting the run around from another contractor. I'm not sure how they are for gutter cleaning, but they provide a warranty for their seals and repairs. If I needed to, I'd call them again, but I'd be very upfront with prices and made sure I had everything in writing ahead of time so there weren't any questions at the end. read more

Such a great company. 4 years ago I found this company. I knew nothing about the gutters on my home or the type of maintenance that they required. I wasn't sure about what needed to be done or didn't. I found Northside Gutters and they answered all of my questions. Pointed me in the right direction and i have stayed with them since. I love that i get a repeat customer discount. Office staff are always polite and professional. The guys that come to my home are wonderful too! I'm on their maintenance plan. Either I'm a total wimp or cleaning gutters on steep roofs has to be one of the most intimidating and dangerous service professions a person could get into. Maybe there's a little truth in both statements. I watched in awe and amazement, as two professional service guys from Northside Gutter Cleaning, do an amazing job cleaning our gutters and roaming the various steep areas of our home in Spider Man like form. I can't say enough good things about these two guys, Kelly and John. They were both very professional, well spoken, and genuine guys. At first, I expected Kelly to be the manager with a crew of day laborers who would come jumping out of the van to do the hard work. That was not the case. John and Kelly were the two guys working together on the roof connected by a rope, one supporting the other, with an uncommon trust not found in typical work situations. John worked as a human harness anchoring only his feet at the peak of the roof to provide rope support. Kelly, attached to the other end of the rope, walked the steep side of the roof with the confidence one would have only when attached to a metal pole. Any small mistake would send both guys off the roof and most certainly to the emergency room. While I was fearful of the worst possible outcome, these guys made this look easy. Even with the intense heat of the sun bearing down on them, they appeared to be unaffected even bearing a smile for most of the time. Leaf blower in hand and a determined resolve to clear every possible gutter in even the most remote areas of the roof, the John-Kelly team were diligent, fast, and thorough. As they were cleaning out the gutters and blowing debris from the roof, a nasty mess of fallen debris accumulated around the perimeter of the house. I was equally impressed with how thorough these guys were in cleaning the debris from the driveway, lawn areas, and deck. It is rare that we shop as much as we do for the most competitive price and end up feeling a little guilty for only paying the service fee. In this case, the gutter cleaning job was only $105. After watching these guys work, I had to tip each of them $20 more. That was still lower than the second lowest quote for $185. As a result of the quality of service, low pressure sales, and very competitive pricing, we will be a repeat customer for a long time to come and referring this service to everyone we know. Terrible customer service and borderline a scam. They gave us a date for cleaning services, and never showed. We of course called someone else and had our gutters cleaned - you can't wait on these types of things. Northside showed up several weeks later to clean and were informed the gutters had already been cleaned. They never called to even inform us why they didn't show the first time and then expected to be paid a huge cancellation fee. I will go to my grave before giving this company a red cent. read more

Sure, you could risk your homeowners insurance by hiring "somebody" to come by, get on your roof, hopefully NOT fall, and 'clean' your gutters by throwing wet leaves all over your sidewalk and driveway. I have called two times to follow up and have been promised that the team was coming out "this week." Called Northside Gutter out of convenience despite some of the just-OK reviews on here from my fellow Yelpers...just to get some info and quotes on gutter screens. Me, being the cheapo I am, I didn't want to just opt to have my gutters cleaned. I figure it's more cost-effective to buy the covers that last a lifetime. I gave them an estimated square footage, and they gave me an unbeatable price. So I set an appointment up online. This was awesome to me because--if you have noticed--convenience is key for me. So, that was already a great start to my experience. On Nov. 2 the serviceman Matt showed up promptly at 2:00 PM ready to roll. He was very friendly and personable, and was able to inform me of everything he was going to do, and everything I should expect, BEFORE he got started. Plus 10 points for that. Installation was quick and professional....everything looks awesome. I'm very happy with the price I got, and the quick response from NGC and their team, as well as the excellent work they did on my old gutters. The owner is a jerk and the company is a rip-off! After receiving a quote, the owner told me that he would be at my house sometime this week, but would call me to let know in advance. I never received any email giving the policies/scheduling. I clearly gave him 2 numbers and stated my cell gets no service in the house, he only called once days later, and I didn't know he was coming. I had to cancel when they showed up as I was leaving, and instead of letting me reschedule he charged me the full fee! read more
