My truck is hardly used and I don't pull a trailer or abuse this truck. On a family vacation in July 2023 my truck broke down. Over $1000.00 to get it towed back to Edmonton just to have my mechanic tell me the transmission was shot. 21000kms!!!!!!!!! And the transmission was shot????????? I realize the warranty is for 2 years or 40000kms but 21000kms is ridiculous. The mechanics I talked to agreed that a transmission should not only last 21000kms even after the 2 year warranty expires. Needless to say , i was not impressed. I called Can west to see what they could do to help me out. Well, they didn't seem to interested because ''' it's past the two year warranty''. They said they would pay for labour but I still had to pay for parts. $2600.00 later....Can West also stated that the problem was the parts in the transmission[which they replaced in 2020]. I called another transmission company and they quoted me $2600.00-$2800.00. So I'm not really sure what I saved???? Tow truck ,mechanic, new transmission, waste of time. VERY DISAPPOINTED.
