This pharmacy alone is reason enough to live in Williamsburg. One pharmacist speaks Polish and the other Spanish. Both are kind, efficient, and exceedingly competent. They knew my name by my second visit, and gave expert advice to a friend during a medical emergency. A little old world pharmacy and apothecary in Brooklyn carrying high quality European and American lines.

This place is the best little neighborhood pharmacy! It moved locations from right on Bedford Ave down to Driggs right by the L stop and it's super convenient, I'm constantly stopping by on my way home from the train. They have every kind of natural and/or high quality make up you could imagine (vichy, keys, clinique), I frequently sample their products before buying larger containers and they always are happy to allow you to take samples from behind the counter they provide as well! I am obsessed with Essential oils and they have every variety you could ever hope for! They are big into homeopathic remedies and supplements there and I love their variety of everything from PMS relief, headaches and cold/flu remedies that are ALL NATURAL! They do have your regular tylenols and whatnot too though. Not to mention, it is owned and operated by women and mostly women work there, they are all so sweet and knowledgable. I end up in there for like an hour most days I go in haha I highly recommend this place if you want to support a wonderful local business that has amazing natural medicine remedies. 5+ stars. I have not written a single Yelp review, but Rachel and Halina deserve to be the one. I have been going here since the 90s, and they have given incredible customer service since long before the 'hood was even remotely desirable. They have not changed a bit, and I aspire to offer the same kind of service to my clients and their customers. I also noted that their pre-move rave reviews were dropped, and agree someone should point out how incredible they are on issues ranging from advice, filling scrips, choosing great products for their shelves, and generally being good people. Many times they have given me "a few pills" when I was between thyroid prescriptions. They take care of you. And they are super informed and helpful when it comes to vitamins and supplements as well. The best pharmacy in town! I've tried some on the south side, and they always claimed they'd never received the prescription or forgot to fill it for a day. After just moving into the area, I have to say that having such a pleasant experience with small businesses, Northside Pharmacy proved me wrong. Hearing great reviews about how wonderful their service is and how pleasant the pharmacists were I had to stop by. As I was walking I noticed the beautiful display and was drawn in. I was then quickly greeted by a young woman who was very friendly. Although they did not have the product I requested I was told to come back in the afternoon to pick it up. Unfortunately when I came back the energy of the store was completely different. First, the pharmacist was ranting very loudly it almost struck me. I quietly than went up to the girls by the register and asked for the item I was looking for earlier. A lovely young lady helped me and while I was waiting to purchase the item the pharmacist than began to yell at me asking me my name. I wasn't sure if she was talking to me or not but she kept repeating herself looking at me. Finally I told her I wasn't waiting for a prescription and she than turned to the girls and started screaming at them for not being efficient with the customers. It was the most bizarre experience I ever encountered, I left completely baffled. I guess it's Duane Reade from now on and they have beer! read more

The pharmacists are very knowledgable, patient, super friendly, always willing to help/answer questions and call the doctor's office for a refill. i've been going to rachel and halina's pharmacy for more than ten years now - even when williamsburg was still a sketchy neighbourhood with a 35% vacancy rate they were always cheerful, helpful and actually remember who you are! they'll help you solve your health insurance troubles, help you save money on RXs and rachel always has some herbal or homeopathic remedy up her sleeve - just ask. even after i moved from williamsburg to greenpoint i make it a point to trek down to their store even though there are closer pharmacies nearby - it's totally worth the trip. read more
