We went to Northstar Stone & Landscape today for the first time. They were extremely busy but had plenty of wonderful people working. As we wandered the yard looking at everything, staff members came around on forklifts regularly to see if we needed help and to answer questions. I stopped by Northstar Stone today to pick up about 150 pounds of rocks to edge a new path in my garden. I grabbed one of their wagons and was just on my way to load the rock when Ryan, a staff member, offered to load out my rocks using his forklift. I've been patronizing this business for many years. They have high quality and well-priced products. I like to just wander through the yard looking at all the beautiful stones. What stands out most, however, are the friendly people. Someone will frequently stop me in the yard and ask if I have any questions and I have gotten some good advice from them, so many of them know their stuff. They were very friendly and personable and went out of their way to find exactly what I was looking for. They also loaded my truck for me while I relaxed and watched. The bench I bought back in June was absolutely beautiful. Northstar put it in their storage area and today a friend stopped by to pick it up. Yesterday I stopped by the office in person with a copy of my receipt to inform them that my friend was coming at 0900 this morning. "No problem," said the woman at the counter. "He just has to give us your name." This morning my friend reported to the yard promptly and was told he needed the invoice number! I had the receipt in hand yesterday when I stopped by and the woman at the counter was too incompetent/dismissive/lazy to write down my name and the invoice number?! On top of this, the yard workers were not helpful with directing my friend to the right area with room for him to maneuver his trailer. I will not again stop by this place of business. read more

They delivered (2) pallets of pavers to my home and damaged the exterior wall when doing so. I made (3) attempts to call them and one to visit the store to try and address the issue, to no avail. They are really good at taking your money but not so good at the customer service part. read more

Bought a small amount of stone slabs to finish a backyard project. Once home realized that they were not going to work for the project. My wife took them back (two slabs that fit in the back of her car) a couple of days later..they had not been used. Was charged a restocking fee of $20 for the guy to take them out of my wife's car and place them back in the rock bin they came from. It takes $70-$100 on average of advertising to get the average consumer to your business, you just lost me over $20. read more
