Garbage Insurance. They failed to tell me that my credit card expired, so I lost my auto insurance coverage. They sent a letter, but didn't think it was important enough to call me and inform me that I had no insurance. The ONLY thing I expected from them was to keep my insurance going and they messed that up. Yes, you can say it's my fault that I didn't notice my credit card was expired-- I messed up. But don't you want a company that will help cover for you if you make a mistake? If I had an accident during that time, I would have been screwed. I paid on time, in full, for 3+ years and they let me drop like it was nothing. You think you can trust them? Also I paid for hit and run insurance and they left everything to me when I was a victim of a hit and run. read more

My phone was dying and i needed to find somewhere to get insurance fast!! i always use yelp but nothing would come up in my area. So I decided to try google. NORTHSTATE AUTO INSURANCE popped up. There were no reviews or anything. So i resorted back to yelp and typed in northstate auto insurance. Nothing but a picture. But it was the kind of place i was looking for so i quickly wrote down the address and went there. I was in a pickle!! I had got my car Impounded and had no registration or insurance. I had to have insurance to get my car registered and pay for impound fees!! 1245 for reg and 400 impound fees.! + INSURANCE I first spoke with Tabitha! SO NICE!! Shes awesome i explained my situation and she was on the hunt to get me the best price and really wanted to help me out. Then the owner walked in! i forgot his name! He was determined to get help me get my car our of impound. AND! you can also pay your car registration here! ONE STOP SHOP!! YAY!! Ill be going in there today to get my insurance for my car and pay for my registration! and pick up my car! Ill also be going back for insurance on my bike!! I was looking for costuless insurance and asked Fred if his office was costuless. He replied no, as I started to leave Fred ran out side and asked me will u come in for a moment I can beat the rates of costuless. I didn't believe him so I sat down and listened to him. I was there trying to get a SR22 done for my friend. To make a long story short, I got the SR22 for my friend and got a full coverage policy with 2 tickets for only $103 per month which the insurance I was going to go with on a renewal policy was $159 per month. Fred saved me money. The only negative thing I can say about NorthState is organizational skills and not having proper customer service from some staff there is bad. I was referred to Fred by my sister after I had already signed and (over)paid for car insurance from another company once my old one had expired. I don't have the best record (1 DUI and 1 Wet Reckless) and the insurance I purchased from the other broker had clearly ripped me off. I was charged $900 in broker fees, $300+ down payment, and a nearly $300/mo premium. After speaking with Fred, he was able to get me a much better deal -- far better than I could have ever imagined. Not only did he lock this deal for me, he guided me and helped me deal with my former broker who refused to give me a refund. He went above and beyond to listen to my issue with the former broker and even discovered that they had scammed me on several occasions. When I brought this information to my old broker, they eventually refunded me in full. I could not have gotten this great policy nor would I have been able to get my refund from my old broker had it not been for the extra mile that Fred went for me!! read more

Here is the first review ive ever made..unfortunately it has to be of the negatory type, so i hope it is helpfull to whomever is reading it..i have been with northstate for 6 long months, and then some! my payments recently went up, (without reason) this location is where im transfered when i need to speak to a manager or higher ranking. ( i deal with the lahabra location) as i live right down the street from them.YET they transfer me to long beach, why? idk... now. all ive had is horrible customer service when contacting this location, the representatives are very rude, i never recieved a call back after several requests for a call back regarding my account,AFTER my payment was due, and an additional 10 bucks was tacked on,keep in mind i called every day 2 days before the due date with cash in hand wanting to know WHY it went up. i ended up making a payment online, it never went through, why, i dont know! nor do they, the 56 bucks is still sitting in my card was i notified? no, now apparently my contract is cancelled.or will be. they tell me to call the lahabra location as there manager isnt in, and give me the number, it sents me BACK to the long beach location, so i can look like an idiot. all i can tell you is BEWARE of these brokers, as they only care about themselves, and not there valuable customers. the price IS the lowest, but you certainly get what you pay for.... i can continue all day long, but im not going too, horrible customer service. plain and simple. ive never felt so helpless in trying to MAKE A SIMPLE PAYMENT!!!
