The best thing about banking here, is you get to do business till 7 pm, and they are open on Sundays! How convenient is that!! Clerks are more then willing to help you, fast and quick! Makes banking a breeze! They have helped me get my new whimhicle, of which is in storage! But I am having a heck of a time with there insurance company realizing that I am "Not" driving in the winter, too many crazy people want to total your car for me!! This has to be the worst Wells Fargo Bank in the Des Moines metro area. I have visited most of the…read moreothers. Sadly, the tellers are not accommodating and helpful. Went in to ask for a bundle of $2 bills and was rudely told that I would have to order them and wait for them to arrive the following week. Waiting did not bother me since I was in no rush. However, the tellers displayed a very bad attitude when I made my request. I was made to feel that I was putting them through hard and rigorous labor simply to order cash in the denomination that I was looking for. To the bank's credit all did work out in the end. I received what I was looking for the following week. The attitude of the employees was a total turn-off for me.

I came in here today to exchange a $20 bill, as it was really damaged. I've never had to do this…read morebefore, but had heard banks can accept damaged bills and replace them. It took a bit, as the bill was so badly damaged. They then send it in to have it verified that it's a real bill or not. Friendly staff. Lot parking. I'm kinda surprised there were TWO financial institutions right next to each other.

Last week i called ahead to Affinity CU where I have had an account for years to see if there would…read morebe any problems depositing large checks, they said no it would just have to be approved by management. I went directly there and tried to deposit 2 large checks in my account that I have had for years and they denied them saying they would bounce?? I said I was told a manager could approve them. Wasn't offered a manager. Their loss, went to GreenState CU opened a checking, saving and money market accounts there without ever being a customer before. Asked them why they were able to cash the checks and Affinity wouldn't. They said they had no idea because they were both certified checks so they couldn't bounce. GreenState made it very easy and now they get to hold on to my money. Thinking about getting a CD there too.
