Very well qualified, friendly and caring. This organization has been our family opthalmologists for almost 50 years.

During the appointment, the doctor was extremely rude and condescending while explaining the patient's eyesight condition. I was shocked by her lack of empathy and her mean-spirited tone. At one point, she even stated, "Why are you here? We are not going to treat your eye condition." We were well aware of the situation, but were attending the clinic for a necessary yearly visit. Furthermore, throughout our visit, the doctor was pacing from room to room while yelling at her staff, which created a very uncomfortable environment. Due to this experience, we will never return to this clinic, nor will we refer anyone else to your practice. I believe it is important for you to be aware of how patients are being treated. (She was an Asian/female) - of course I can be wrong on her nationality she was short.

Well Dr K said I had I had a stroke and must drive to the nearest Emergency Room. My eyes were still dilated and the road wasn't easy to see. Eventually and carefully made it home taking 2 roads and called an ambulance . By the grace of God, I made to the hospital safely where I am now. I had contacted the clinic and reported the situation. "Dr K" called me with a sickeningly sweet apology.

This has got to be private equity health care. First, respect to Dr. Moy and his surgical skills…read more He's a great mix of empathy and efficiency. But the overall feeling of assembly line health care stems from arrive/check in and wait. You're summoned to an exam station, administered to...and directed to a smaller waiting area...and wait some more. Then maybe another procedure...and wait. You can arrive on time at 7:40 a.m., but you'll wait. Plan on 3 hours plus. The killer was at one visit to arrange 2nd cataract surgery, I waited about an hour to sign paperwork in a waiting room that was in near rebellion. When I mentioned the vibe to the young lady doing the scheduling she said I was referring to a 'management thing.' Ok management-perhaps schedule fewer patients, find more spacious accommodations, hire more tech staff and you might slide with fewer folks at the reception desk, 'cause I'm not sure why it's 3 deep at the desk with one employee answering questions and the others staring at their screens. So, medical expertise, great. Organizational stuff, really bad, and it's been this way for years.

The man that really makes this very popular office what it is is Dr John Moy, a renowned cataract specialist. There are of course other competent doctors here but a few have come and gone. There are also a bunch of technician staff helping out with various eye health tests. This place is far from perfect though as the waits are usually long, and that's the only reason for the 1 star knock. It's not that they are slow, there are just a lot of patients per doctor due to demand for their good services. We always try to get early morning appointments and they usually have to be done 6 months and even a year in advance. Dr Moy is one of those doctors who is booked for the whole year if you're not already a patient. If there is some test that may not be covered by insurance (and there are only two that we have encountered), the staff always gives us a headsup first. Anyway, we are very happy with our eye health care here and the other doctors on staff we have seen are Dr Indre Rudaitis and Dr Kaushik Annam, a glaucoma specialist.

Every year I show up on time, early even and every year I sit and wait between 30-60 minutes past my appointment time, even when nobody else seems to be there. Today I had a 12:45 appointment. I got there at 12:30, as requested, to check in and go over my insurance, etc. There were 3 ladies behind the registration counter. They told me to have a seat, and they would call me very soon. There was no one else in the waiting room so I hoped this was going to be a short wait, or at the least, be on time. As soon as I sat down, all 3 disappeared. I assume they went to the back to have lunch. Another lady came out to help another patient that had walked in. So now there are 4 ladies working in this office. I waited 30 minutes past my scheduled appointment. Not 1 person communicated to me that the doctor was seeing another patient or had fallen behind or anything. Basically, I was completely ignored so 75% of the office staff could eat lunch together. The 4th lady that did appear, suddenly disappeared as well. Another couple walked in and were waiting at the front counter for 5-10 minutes when I decided to give up and leave. I will find another eye doctor that has a staff that can communicate with its clients and actually get you in on time. Shameful!!
