Second, I learned things on the FIRST day that I could use in a self defense situation. The instructor is fun, knowledgeable and professional. He is someone I look forward to learning from. I'm definitely hooked! As a woman, you can never be too prepared or empowered. These classes give you both! I had such a great endorphin high afterward. Ill be a regular from here on out for SURE! The prices are beyond reasonable and you don't need to buy a bunch of stuff to get going. Bottom line: fitness, fun, self defense and something totally different from what you have been doing thus far. I can't recommend it highly enough!

He's been here more…read moreconsistently now (at age ten) and has grown in his skills since - not just fighting skills, but those of self-discipline, respect, and care for others. He's been allowed to help the younger children and been given responsibility as seen fit. He enjoys coming to class very much. Coach is the kind to push someone past their ability because he sees potential, but not past the point where kids would lose confidence in themselves. It's a fine balance and I appreciate having someone coaching my son who understands and acknowledges this. Also, it's funny because a lot of parents fear that putting their kids in to a fighting class will promote violence but it has done the opposite. My son hasn't gotten in trouble for fighting or any other physical altercations in the past six years. We'll continue coming here!

White Tiger Studios is a great place for both kids and adults to learn Kenpo Karate…read more My son has been going to White Tiger Studios for about 3 years now and loves going. He has learned so much and the whole experience has been great for him. Jesse (the owner) works very well with my son and the other kids in the class. He makes learning Karate fun, but still keeps the kids inline so they keep focused and learn what they are supposed to learn. The cost of the lessons is very reasonable and the classes are twice a week. Jesse also does private lessons and for $20.00 for an hour it is a great deal. White Tiger Studios is great for almost any age of student, from 4-5 years old to adult. I look forward to hopefully many more years of taking my son to White Tiger Studios and Jesse to continue learning Karate.

I appreciate that there is someone available to answer questions about new memberships/billing. Very professional. The kids class is massive and they have plenty of instructors on the mat to help. Instruction here is top notch. It's kind of expected that you'll get "thrown to the wolves" when you start jiu jitsu as there are really no "basics/beginner course"; you just immerse and catch up eventually (unless you pay extra for personals). I appreciate that they see when someone needs help and they provide it, instead of leaving you lost and floundering. As for adults class, everyone is friendly and respectful. There are no women's classes (that's fine) and males and females are mixed in class but they do a great job with the culture to ensure the women don't feel intimidated. The female black belt instructors do an amazing job at putting new female students at ease. Everyone is so nice and respectful and I have not had any negative experiences. More emphasis on self-defense aspect here, which I appreciate. Very realistic. But they'll also get you competition-ready if that's your goal too. I had a very positive experience at this school; I immediately felt welcomed , the mats were always very clean, and the teachers were not only clear communicators but were also encouraging regardless of experience level. I would heartily recommend this school to anyone looking to begin or continue their training!
