Went in to courteous staff and found staff very helpful. Performed x-rays and got out in less than an hour. Satisfying experience

I come after least 2-3 times per year. Being in healthcare my company always has something they want done asap so this is a good spot. Now no frills just so you know. It looks pretty spartan. Just some chairs and 1 TV in the lobby. Sign in at the counter and within 10 minutes someone has you checked in and gives you the proper paperwork. Now I have been here for a flu shot ,TB skin test, a yearly physical and usually the same friendly staff. I was in and out in 20 minutes on a Saturday afternoon for my physical. Good deal. read more

I was pretty sure I broke my toe so I went to the urgent care center. Like before, I thought it was an unprofessional experience, but not because of the medical assistant- because of the doctor. I was put into a exam room and waited forever before Dr. Atkins came in but he didn't actually enter the room. He actually remained standing in the doorway the entire time and only asked me what was wrong. I told him about my toe but he never came inside the room to look at my toe or even touch it. In a hurry, he said I'll need an xray and he left. After my xray I was told Dr. Atkins had left for the day and I'd have to see a different doctor. I thought it was rude to leave for the day before finishing with a patient and in the hallway I could hear the second doctor say "oh-there's a left over in there?" Plus, I don't trust the diagnosis. I was told my toe was only bruised, but it has now been 7 WEEKS and my toe is still swollen and I can't walk on it. That doesn't sound like a bruise to me. read more

Apparently and hour wait in the waiting room plus another 30 in the exam room for a five minute conversation with the doctor is worth a $75 copay. He never introduced himself and just left after saying he knew how to fix it leaving me there for 15 minutes before I decided to check on things and was told I could have left when he did. I am at the pharmacy and discover he prescribed two medications. I have to speak with the pharmacist because I have no idea what is going. Grade A doctoring. read more

Very unprofessional. The nurse had an attitude. The doctor was more interested to txt on his phone than answer questions. The way he just leaned in and said the test results so everyone can hear our business .. (That was done to check my sisters kidney). Then he had his cell ringing and walked away like he found his phone more important. Left very unhappy and defiantly regret going there. read more

I went in because of severe rib pain when I cough. I had just gotten over bronchitis about 3 weeks ago and have a lingering cough. In the past, on 3 different occassions I have fractured ribs due to hard coughing spells during bronchitis. I realize there is not really anything to do for the ribs, but the pain is so bad I can't sleep. I told the nurse practitioner about my history of this and told her that the 800mg. of Ibuprofen I had been taking doesn't do a thing for my pain. I just want something that will ease my pain, and ease my cough. They took x rays on site, and although the technicians were very nice, they didn't seem like they knew what they were doing. They had to take many x rays, one time the girl said that the left side got cut off on the slide, they ended up taking about 5 or 6 x rays. Then I heard them tell the nurse practitioner that they didn't see anything. I then heard the nurse practitioner walk down the hall toward the x ray room. She came in saying she saw no fractures, but that they have a radiologist that will look at them and that I should call back in 2 hours to find out the results. She wrote me a prescription for a cough medicine with codeine that should help with the cough and sleep, I was pleased with the sound of that. I decided to go get it filled right away. I then found out that the 6 oz. bottle of cough medicine was not covered by my insurance and with the discount card that the nurse practitioner gave me, it would bring the price down to $143.00. I send no thank you and came home to call the Urgent care to get some questions answered. By this time it was about 1:30 p.m., since I left their office about 10:30 a.m. I assumed that the x ray results would be ready as well. After calling they said that the x ray technician was reading another x ray and would call me back. I then told her about the $143.00 cough medicine that I was not going to get, she said that my pharmacy would have to call them and tell them that I did not pick it up, then they could prescribe something else. I said I thought that they should call my pharmacy, they refused. Also the pain reliever that she gave me a sample of was basically a large dose of Alieve (550mg), REALLY, if 800 mg of Ibuprofen doesn't phase my pain, why would Alieve??? Also the nurse practitioner had me so confused when I left there, because she said that she was going to call some other prescriptions over to my pharmacy, like an allergy med, and an antibiotic, but at the same time gave me a paper saying that "my prescription had been sent to a place called Menard Pharmacy" and that I would be getting a call from them to verify my address and prescription insurance. When I asked the office girl about this Menard Pharmacy after calling back to get a different cough med, she said she didn't know anything about a Menard Pharmacy. I am VERY discouraged and still in tremendous rib pain when I cough. Needless to say I will never return there again, and would recommend all to stay away, there are plenty of urgent care facilities available. ***********************IMPORTANT... PLEASE READ THIS FOLLOW UP *************************** I am writing this follow up because of the WONDERFUL follow up I received from this Urgent Care!!! Jamie called me at approximately 4 p.m. to tell me that they have received further information about my x rays, and found several fractures do exist. They are going to send a different cough medicine prescription to my pharmacy and she also was able to explain what the Menard Pharmacy was all about. She was very helpful and I remember her as being one of the very helpful and sympathetic techs in the office during my visit. As of right now I have not received a call about my prescription being confirmed called in or ready. I told her that I was pleased with her call and her concern. So now I hope she can help. I would at this point raise the rating to a 3 star, instead of a 1 star. I just couldn't find a way to get that posted. read more

This urgent care is awful. I went in because I had a very symptomatic UTI. They gave me a suboptimal strength antibiotic for what the nurse practitioner said was a very serious UTI. I didn't know the strength of the antibiotic until I picked it up from the pharmacy, because it was the correct drug, just not strong enough. It was also a five day supply when it should've been a seven to ten day supply, I'm in pharmacy school,I have learned this. Kelly, the nurse practitioner also told me to come back if the symptoms persist, obviously, I'm still having symptoms. They just want more money for another appointment. When I was waiting to see the nurse practitioner, I heard her treating a sinus infection with a second line drug, and that he should come back too if symptoms persist. I feel like that office just wants more office visits for more money. Thanks for risking my health read more

I cannot speak highly enough of Northwest Ohio Urgent Care. I went in for a Upper Respiratory infection/cough and was given superb treatment. The staff was kind and respectful, took a full work up of my symptoms and vitals and was told the provider would be in shortly. I did not wait long, possibly 7-10 minutes, and the provider came in. I was given a very thorough examination. After diagnosis, the Nurse Practitioner wrote me a couple of scripts and even was able to save me money on my copay by presenting me with a coupon for a discount off my prescription. I was in and out quickly, and back to my daily routine. All in all this was a great experience and I encourage anyone who's needs a urgent care to go to Northwest Ohio Urgent Care. read more

We are in town on vacation, so we opted for this facility as opposed to the ER as my 2-year-old has a UTI. We got in quickly, but the doctor did not even touch my child to do the actual exam part - I had to do that for her. Knowing we would have to provide a urine sample, we were already pumping fluids into our child before we got there. She was unable to produce a sample after over 16oz of liquid and over an hour of trying. The poor kid was miserable and crying. I asked if we could just get an antibiotic since she obviously has an infection. The doctor told me me she had already written a script for an oral suspension, but she really wanted a sample. I said I understood that, but why continue torturing my sick kid in a miserably hot bathroom. I agreed to get one when she produced one. In addition, my child will NOT take an oral suspension. The doctor was unable to give the shot (what we usually get), so I asked for a pill to cut. She refused. I left with a script for the oral suspension, got it filled. Try as we might, my child will not take it, and I am now covered in liquid antibiotic. She also, 2+ hours after we left, hasn't produced a urine sample. I just called back and asked for a script for the pill. She asks me if I tried this and that...YES!! Well, how am I going to cut a pill into 3/4? I assured her I could handle cutting it with a pill cutter. I could see that she still didn't believe that I was competent enough to know what my child needs - and she certainly wasn't trying to listen to me at all. I told her never mind and that I would just take her to the ER. She told me, very rudely (mind you, I've been nothing but polite through this whole ordeal), that I had better just do that then and hung up on me.
