The NP gave me the choice of what tests I wanted to have done after completing my initial request, which came back negative. The time was much faster than my experience at inpatient emergency rooms. I will use this urgent care again if needed. It served its purpose.

We sat in the waiting room for about 30 minutes. The place was packed on a Sunday night. Into the exam room, they worked in cleaning the blood off the face and hair. Determined that it would require stiches over staples. Another 40 minutes waiting in the exam room. Stiches completed and released with a print out of follow up and when to return to remove the stiches. It was a long wait, but better than going to a ER at a hospital.

I moved out here recently and have needed an…read moreurgent care two times and both times came here because the ProMedica one has a big sign saying they're closed...every day since I moved here, plus I have other reasons for not wanting to return to ProMedica anything. Anyway, this urgent care is actually pretty good and is just part of the hospital itself unlike most urgent cares I've seen which might be near them but are their own little building - so it is pretty busy around you and at the moment due to covid you sign in at the urgent care but then wait at the family practice area and are seen there instead as well. Having a lot of experience in a lot of different cities and a few states with many visits to urgent cares, I'd say this is one of the better places I've gone to (possibly due to being part of the hospital?). While there can be extremely long wait times (nearly 2 hours without many people even waiting in the first place) once you're seen they're thorough, nice, and go out of their way to really make sure they're certain what is wrong and that you, as the patient, understand what it they're diagnosing you with, what it means, and what the next steps are/what the medication does and how to use it - rather than past urgent care experiences I've had where much of the time you're basically rushed in and out. In fact, these doctors have spent more time explaining and checking my issue than my ACTUAL primary care doctor at "the only competing hospital/urgent care in the area" which is why I won't be returning there - especially when they charge me for 40 minutes when he'd see me for about 3 total minutes.

A little backstory first. I had been working in the yard one day, and by evening had an itchy spot…read moreon my arm that I thought was probably a mosquito bite, no big deal. The next day, my husband and I went out of town for a couple of days that we had planned a week earlier. During the time away, the bite continued to itch, then hurt, turned red, warm and swollen, which kept getting bigger. I took progressive pictures of the area with my phone because it was so unusual. On the way home, I told my husband that I really wanted to stop and have it looked at because something was just not right. That is what led us to this particular Urgent Care. The ladies at the desk were extremely friendly. The wait was not long at all. This was a Tuesday afternoon around 2:30. The medical assistant was very nice and seemed concerned when I showed her the area. My blood pressure was a little elevated even though I take medication for it. She said she would let the doctor know. In comes the NP. Asked me what happened. I told her that I had gotten bit by something and showed her the bite. She said, Well if you don't know what bit you, then neither do I. What do you want me to do about it? , as she stood there with her arms folded across her chest. I explained that it had been getting progressively worse with each day and was now hurting. I told her that I had photos of it, and she shrugged her shoulders. She didn't want to see them. She asked me if I was having any trouble breathing, which I was not. She looked at the bite, pressed on it a few times and said, Well, it blanches , so not cellulitis. Asked me if I needed a slip for work, I didn't. Then says, well, I could listen to your lungs, which she did. Then says, Okay, you're all set. I left with no paperwork, or any info at all. After I got home I looked on my chart online to read her notes. She documented that the area was not warm, it was, not tender, it was, and that my uvula was midline. Hard to tell that without looking in my mouth. So that is documenting something that didn't happen! Thankfully I was able to get into my doctor the next day. She actually listened to what I was telling her, looked at the bite, and the photos that I had taken. With a couple of questions, figured out that more likely than not, it was the bite from a brown recluse!!! I was started on a treatment right away! I could have been getting treatment a day earlier if the NP at the Urgent Care had actually listened to what I was saying. Don't go here unless you have already diagnosed yourself. The two stars are for the 2 ladies at the front desk and the medical assistant.

So sorry they had such a problem simply doing their job.

Extremely rude staff, unresponsive to employer follow ups for information regarding pre-employment…read moretesting as well as workers comp issues. VERY responsive on billing questions though. If you question them on work restrictions they put in place for employees they become very rude. For instance, when questioning the length of time they had an employee off, the doctor stated they were making recommendations based on their medical opinion, but in the same breath state that the employee wanted some days off work. Don't recommend using them as an employer.

Absolutely horrible experience! The nurses are RUDE!!! My son in law Jose went there today with…read moremultiple hornet stings (roughly 7-8) that were affecting his breathing - he had intense swelling on his face, cheeks, lips and chest tightness. He was told to take a seat and sit in the lobby. He said ok but I really think I need to get back there I'm not doing well. They told him to wait. They finally brought him back after about 5 minutes as he started getting shivers and sweating profusely. The nurses behavior after that point was unacceptable. She treated him like he was a nuisance and kept rolling her eyes and sighing like he was disputing her day. He was uncomfortable and felt unsafe in her care. When she hooked him up to the monitor he asked if she could hand him his phone because he needed to contact his fiancé and the nurse responded "no you don't need it you can use it later" and again rolled her eyes at him. She ended up leaving the room (and still wouldnt hand him his phone) and he started getting nauseated and dizzy with chest tightness increasing and so he rushed to the door to get help and the same nurse yelled at him - he told her how he was feeling dizzy and having chest tightness and she again rolled her eyes and told him to go back in the room and someone would be there in a minute. Her poor attitude and obvious hatred of her job is problematic. As a nurse, I'm disgusted at her behavior. We are filing a formal complaint.

It looks pretty spartan. Just some chairs and 1 TV in the lobby. Sign in at the counter and within 10 minutes someone has you checked in and gives you the proper paperwork. Now I have been here for a flu shot ,TB skin test, a yearly physical and usually the same friendly staff. I was in and out in 20 minutes on a Saturday afternoon for my physical. Good deal.

I recently suffered an asthma attack which I couldn't get in to see my PCP. This brought me here…read more I didn't mind the long wait knowing how sick people are. When I finally got to see NP I explained that Ive suffered with asthma my whole life. Trying to explain what my family doctor does for me I was prescribed an inadequate amount of meds for five days. It's like they're afraid to really help you because they don't know you. In all fairness, they did what they could to help me. If you have a cut finger this is a great place to go.
