WARNING DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE Now looking at past reviews I wish that I would've done more research on this dude being that he clearly has had a pattern with how he treats his patients that goes back YEARS. Let me start off by saying that if I could give zero stars I WOULD but because of my experience I want to make sure this doesn't happen to someone else. The first appointment I had my partner with me because I've been experiencing unexplained bleeding. I had previously gone to a urgent care because I haven't had to go to a primary really up until recently. They ran tests and couldn't seem to find the source but still gave me treatment because of my symptoms being out of the ordinary. I found this guy to look more into what is happening with me. My partner and I went into the appointment and the first thing I noticed was another patient, a women walking out extremely upset. I felt bad being nosey but it took me back since I've had bad experiences in the past but my partner reassured that we don't know everything and to not assume my appointment would go the same way. We go in and he seems nice for the most part and was open to answering questions that me and my partner had. At first. We scheduled up a follow up for me to get an ultra sound done and he recommended I go get a blood and urine test done. The follow up comes up and this time my partner isn't able to accompany me so I went by myself. Going into the appointment he was acting VERY different then how he had acted at the previous appointment. He didn't seem to want to answer my questions that HE didn't find relevant and told me that everything ran normal and had said that I'm just a heavy bleeder on my period. After the amount of times that I had told him that I have never bled that many days ( a week before my actual period ) before starting my period. He continued to ignore my questions and just said " If you bleed this much on your period that's not a way to live I'm gonna prescribe you to take birth control ". He even made what I felt was an inappropriate comment and compared my bleeding to a crime scene. Already feeling that he was acting totally different from my last appointment and feeling like I didn't get answers. My partner and I considered it a win despite that and I tried to still be empathetic and think that maybe he was having a bad day and to try not too look into it too much. The day after ( today ) I started bleeding more then I have ever bled before. I had to leave work because I was bleeding on the chairs that I have to sit on. I called them to figure out what could be happening because my bleeding and cramping are getting so out of control that I can't even finish a shift and got sent home. I got ahold of Debra ( tbh not sure what she is because she works front desk but she also assists him like a nurse ) and all she told me was that the pill isn't causing me to bleed and continued to be rude and not helpful. We end the call with her saying that she was gonna call the doctor and get back to me because they aren't in office. I get the call back and she tells me in a snarky tone that he as well feels that the pill isn't the cause and recommended that I take MORE OF THEM per day and that it should help stop the bleeding. BUT DONT SEEM INTERESTED AS TO WHATS CAUSING IT?? Mind you. I've been on birth control before and my body had never responded to it this way. My periods in the past have only ever been heavy the first couple days then die down. And also if it's not the pill then there must be something else wrong. But they didn't want to take me in and they refused to even write me a note for the days I'm gonna have to miss of work now having to go somewhere else to figure out what's happening. Each appointment I went too was $300 and man did the man PLAY ME and my partner. I advice you stay as far away from this place as possible. Today I will be having to go to the urgent care and possibly the ER. This place sucks just don't do it. read more

I wrote this review on the page where you should see Dr. Grisham's updated info, but just in case a possible future customer gets the wrong idea from the crazy human who wrote a review about Dr. Grisham's old office (get it together Yelp), see below : Right now somebody is looking at my profile picture and saying, "I know this guy has boobs, but that does not make him an expert on lady doctors!" Two things: 1) Nobody uses the term lady doctor any longer, you jerks. 2) I may know nothing about the world of OBGYN, but I know I how picky my wife is and she loves Dr. Grisham. As much as my wife likes and trusts Dr. Grisham and his staff, I can assure you that she is a distant third behind me and our daughter. I was told long ago that I should accompany my wife to any and all sonograms just in case something went wrong. Reluctantly, I accompanied my wife to a sonogram about three months into her first pregnancy. I avoided eye contact and assumed the role of silent male protector. I was disarmed almost immediately. From the receptionist to the attending nurse to the nurse who always draws blood just right from my wife's evasive veins, this office is not a business, but rather a destination. Now my daughter Dr. Grisham brought into this world two years ago runs to greet the office staff for hugs and candy while Dr. Grisham capably and calmly walks my way wife through the ups and downs of a second pregnancy. We count ourselves among the luckiest of expecting parents that we have Dr. Grisham as our guide. Also, dude is handsome. I would hustle to make sure he takes you on as a patient before he becomes a fitness model. read more

SOOO unimpressed. I called and made my appointment and gave the receptionist my insurance information, which was incorrectly checked prior to my appointment. I then took time off from work, only to be informed once I got there, that their office was not in network... but oh, I could still see the doctor if I paid out of pocket. What a waste of my time, not to mention I thought I was going to have an answer and some kind of piece of mind, but instead walked out furious with nothing more then, "I'm sorry, I didn't click over to the next page to see you weren't in network." Do not use his doctor. I moved to Texas and used to be a pharmaceutical rep selling to Obgyn so I know a thing or two and I own my business now down here. When I first met him two years ago he brought me into his office and talked before he saw me and he seemed great as time went on I noticed he acts one way to get you another once your a patient. I called this Monday because I had a sharp pain and went to office and he did a 5 min check and we chatted and with serious paid I had questions he seemed not concerned with me and told me I need an ultrasound. He wouldn't let me get it that day. I left paid 150 for an office and scheduled for next day to come back for an ultrasound. An hour later I received a call saying your ultrasound tomorrow will be 301. First I didn't ask when it's my Health I will pay for what I need and no problems this isn't the dentist. I walked into Office no patients in waiting room and signed in. The receptionist before I sat down sat asked for mr credit card. Who charges before you even see the doctor so of course I was upset and in pain. I gave it to her and asked the breakdown. I replied with why again couldn't we have done the 5 min ultrasound visit yesterday. Seems like I'm paying an extra office visit. I paid and went into room. I used to work with ob in Chicago. And none of them no matter how much they complained about expense did they ever treat patients like that. He comes in room instead of saying heard you had problems with how I run my practice and have you ever ran a medical practice. What an ass. I deal with customers everyday and would never approach a customer like this. Awful bedside manners and all about money here. I gladly got my stuff and left. I almost cried I'm in pain and you act like this and double charge and I will gladly find a doctor who cares. Imagine this attitude delivering a baby. I couldn't as a 32 young woman with experience in this field I would say this never go to a doctor who is willing to treat you like this. Treat patients and customers right. Everyone has bad days but this is unacceptable. I never make reviews but this man showed me he doesn't care about anything other than money. read more

Went to this doctor due to the positive reviews I found online. This has got to be the worst experience. He did a biopsy & hydro sono on same appt - if I had know what it entailed I would had canx. This means he cut inside my uterus then filled it with saline and moved everything around for the sono. It was terrible, I was in so much pain i threw up 3x times outside due to the pain. I could not drive but somehow made it home, I was sick as a dog. No one in the office asked to help or if I needed help instead they delayed me longer to ensure my copay was covered. I notified this doctor several times I was hurting alot, he looked at me and said "oh it is not that bad". During the sono, he did not informed me what he was looking at or what was found.. I asked and he seemed upset, was rushing me, cold and un-informative. They knew I was not coming back and didn't even bother to send me my biopsy results or call me to inform of results. Instead they billed me another copay balance. This doctor traumatized me! I went to obtain a 2nd opinion and was told my prolapse is not bad and there is no reason for a hysterectomy at 34. Dr. Grisham exact words were "when you are done having babies well get your uterus out". I am certain other woman have had good experiences with this doctor, my personal one was horrible, extremely painful, and the worst in my life! Last time I called I informed the nurses why I was not coming back and cancelled my year exam, the doctor did not even care to follow-up. HORRIBLE service.. read more

I've been a patient of Dr. Grisham's for almost 7 yrs. He is absolutely the best doctor I've ever had take care of me. Dr. Grisham has taken care of me and my family through 2 pregnancies, a few surgeries, and other health issues not related to the reproductive system. Dr. Grisham really listens to his patients and there is no need to feel self conscious or embarrassed to tell him anything. He will never make you feel silly for asking. He's also a doctor who will chat with you about your life and really get to know you, so you can feel totally comfortable asking him for a recommendation for the best Cuban sandwich in Key West or about a new hotel you want to try in Rome. He can definitely put you at ease during some invasive procedures, whether that's a yearly pap, or ultrasound. The office wouldn't be complete without Deb, who manages the office and is Dr. Grisham's assistant. She's so knowledgeable and friendly, and is always so helpful to get any health questions answered, schedule visits, and answer insurance questions. If you are looking for an incredibly intelligent, caring, OBGYN and staff, I can't recommend Northwest Plano OBGYN highly enough. read more

Dr. Grisham is great. He delivered both of my kids after complicated pregnancies, and he ans his staff are wonderful. I switched to him years ago after my old OB became more interested in selling me botox and skin care stuff than seeing me for my normal "female" needs. Anyway, I highly recommend him. read more

I have been a patient of Dr. Grisham's since 2009, & I love him. Prior to him, I had a sub-par female obgyn. I was unsure initially since he is a guy, but all concerns were dissipated once I got to know him. Dr. Grisham has a comfortable bedside manner & is a HIGHLY competent obgyn. He was there when I needed him for emergency surgery. He was there each step of my pregnancy. He performs the ultrasounds. What other obgyn does that? Appointments are easy to get & wait time is minimal. I look forward to having future pregnancies under his care. Highly recommend him; please don't let the fact he is a male dissuade you. great staff and very caring physician. Dr. Grisham has great bedside manner listened to me vent about other things besides what he specializes in. he had me come back in for a separate visit and i cannot say enough about his staff, they called to let me know the price made sure i didn't have any other questions, very considerate. would recommend this physician to all my friends. will be coming to him when i get pregnant!! read more

He delivered my daughter. I had a relatively easy time with him, his office is nice, never had to wait too long at all, ladies working there were nice, everything seemed to flow pretty well. He's pretty no nonsense which at first can be seen as maybe quirky idk, but we have a close family friend who's a doctor and they all seem to have that similar attitude. I would def recommend him. He's a doctor, he does his job, answers questions if you have them, his office is in a great hospital, he safety delivered my baby via c-section, he does the ultrasounds. The only complInt I have is sometimes he didn't transfer info to me, like my diabetic screening. I took the test then had to wait til my next appointment to find out if I was ok. He didn't mention it which I knew meant I didn't have it, I had to specifically ask him at my next appointment if i was clear, I would've rather him come right out and say the test was clear, but that's my only complaint.
