Owner's daughter's car is consistently parked in a fire zone during every morning public session. She apparently think she's above the law, makes up reasons to "ban" people from the facility, and does not honor the City of Kent's Senior Skate program at all - no sign in, no age check or showing of ID. This facility would benefit from ownership that is free from nepotism. The only reason I skate there is because of the free ice they are required to provide via their contract with the City of Kent, but they don't even honor that.

THey have alot to do here! putt putt golf, batting cages, ice skating, hockey, they are also connected to baseball fields and a kids park. they also offer rental equipment for everything. Service was friendly and if you okay golf you get a chance to win a free game by playing their plinko board.

We had a blast ice skating for the first time! The facility is very clean, the staff is super friendly and informative, and most of all it was a blast!

I've been to this rink twice- The first time, I came with some friends a few weeks ago and decided to rent some ice skates because I wasn't sure if I wanted to commit to buying a pair of my own yet. I'm an avid roller skater and have well over a thousand dollars worth of skating gear, and couldn't justify spending more on a whole other hobby. Let me tell you, the rental skates were so bad they actually cut my foot right open after only 10 minutes of skating because of the friction from the hard plastic. Apparently most rink rentals suck, so I just took my L and bought my own skates for next time. The second reason I gave this place 4 stars is because it's SO expensive. Maybe I'm spoiled because roller skating rinks are less than $10 for entry *per session*, but paying $20 for just one hour and 15 minutes is wild to me. I asked around and my figure skating friends tell me this is a bit steep for most ice skating rinks in general. As for the rink itself, the staff are kind and professional. It's the only rink in the area open for public skate during COVID and even though they don't require masks, everyone is socially distanced well and wears them anyway. There was also only two other people on the ice the first visit, and about 7/8 on the second visit. You get plenty of room to fall all over the place, which is nice! Overall, I would definitely come back again if it weren't so ridiculously expensive. I also realized that I'm not a fan of such a cold indoor space (I couldn't feel my hands after an hour, but it's literally a room full of ice so that can't be avoided.) If you decide to come, bring your own skates and budget for it if you're bringing kids...and also bring gloves!

On a whim, I bought a Groupon for this place on Black Friday and visited here because it was about to expire. When my boyfriend and I arrived, we were funneled into a line where the cashier deals with one party at a time before you can enter through the gate. It wasn't too long of a wait to speak with her, but I felt bad for the long line that starting forming behind us. She was very helpful. We just had to pay sales tax (never had a Groupon deal make me pay sales tax when I arrived, so that was a little weird). The staff member at the skate rental place was super friendly and nice. Quite frankly, these were some of the worst skates I've ever put my feet in. I used to skate competitively as a kid, so I had my own skates and unfortunately outgrew then. The skates felt like stiff plastic containers for your feet. It was so painful to skate around, so I went back to the skate rental counter and asked for another pair. The guy said he only had that one type of skate but could help me find another pair or a slightly bigger size. Neither one did the trick, so since it was so painful on my feet, I just put my shoes back on and let my boyfriend skate around on his own. Even those temporary skate rinks that go up in parks have more comfortable skates! Anyway, the facility seemed really nice. There's ample viewing areas and an upstairs cafe. It was off putting that the only restroom was upstairs at the back of the cafe. I would think there should be one more accessible near the ice rink. The cafe upstairs was absolutely horrible. I very rarely give low ratings to places because I like giving people the benefit of the doubt and have worked at a restaurant before, but this place was ridiculous. The cashier was extremely rude and very slow to take orders. There was only one person in front of us, and she had to call someone else over to help her figure out how much change to give back to the customer. It took forever! Then, she wasn't very nice to my boyfriend or me. We wanted just mozzarella sticks without a pound of fries, but they can't sell it by itself... So we just ordered tacos instead. The tacos took about 20 minutes to get to us, and they were horribly over fried. I would be better off going to Taco Bell (and I really dislike Taco Bell). It was $10 for 3 tacos and a soda, and it was definitely not worth it. All of the food on the menu was pretty over priced, but that's what you get at these types of places. Just really horrible service. I tried connecting to the wifi using the posted password in the cafe, and it never worked. There was barely any cellphone reception inside. Overall, pretty negative experience. I'll be skating at the Renton ice rink from now on.

Very good family friendly spot and they do what they can with the space they have. The only downside is the consistent lack of food/snacks/games. 1/3 or or more of the very few games they have are ALWAYS out of order. The food is not always good and very often sold out as they don't make much during sessions -they mostly reserve the pizza just for the rooms. The candy machines are awful - all the decent stuff is regularly empty and the full sided candy they offer is about 3-4x the size price (i.e., the really small bag of lays is $3). Plus I once bought a candy bar there for my kid and the chocolate looked and tasted old, which means their stock rarely moves. Also, would be great if they offered some adult beverages on tap. FYI, it's never a "true" experience here unless u catch a glimpse of the older white gentlemen casually solo out dancing everyone on the rink. I think I will nickname him "White Lightning".

ElCentro skating rink was friendly & Inviting with security on campus. Free ice water at the snack bar. Newly renovated bathrooms. Nice rental skates & blades. Tables, chairs and rental lockers for those who need them. There is a small arcade for the kids but I did not use. My girls ordered fries, "They were perfectly salted." Painted murals on the walls with the color scheme nicely done. They have a skate store where you can buy stuff. I noticed a prize ticket store for the arcade. If you want an upgrade to your regular skate night, and if you are grown, choose to go to Adult Skate 18+ and have a great time.

When we walked in, the bouncer was sitting just inside the door. I had my ID ready expecting him to check it. We told him we were thinking about going into the rink but wanted to take a look first. He immediately got dismissive and said there was a cover charge. When I asked if we could just peek inside before deciding, he sarcastically said "would a night club just let you take a look if they were charging a cover?" Like that was not already obvious enough, he then went out of his way to mock the way we asked the question and told us he would have let us in if we had just asked differently. We were not trying to get in for free or cause any trouble. We were a group of women just looking to have a fun night out. To be spoken to that way, especially in front of my mom and her friends, was completely uncalled for. I will not be returning as long as this person is working the door.

If there were negative stars I would select that!…read more UPDATE Since my original review: The manager reached out with "complimentary tickets" which does not resolve the actual issue - did you retrain your staff? Did you fix your ventilation system? Likely not, his email about free passes was sent and then I responded but here we are almost a week later and no response back. Timeliness is lacking from management down. Here I am again, having to do this because I get no ounce of actual customer care - you all have to do better! Seriously! Particularly if you knowingly subjected all your customers especially kids, to chemical inhalation, poor ventilation not to mention just overall lack of cleanliness in the rink. It's a shame! Just because you all are one of the last rinks in the area does not mean you get to abuse this opportunity!! 1.The smell in this place was horrendous. When we finally got into our party room about 145pm the smell was overwhelming strong, a chemical, instant sickness kind of strong. After speaking with the person in the DJ booth they informed me that the floors were just redone and that the ventilation in the place was supposedly on. My husband works in HVAC and knows for a fact that the ventilation was not on when the parties began, as someone who suffers from chronic migraines the concentrated smell of chemicals was just unacceptable. I asked to speak to the manager multiple times but no one seemed to care, they brushed me off, and left us to just suffer. We had to keep going outside for fresh air and still tend to our guests which was unacceptable. Not to mention, some of our guests needed to leave due to medical conditions which flared up as a result of the chemicals lingering in the air. I don't want to have to escalate this even more and look into legal action because this was very unacceptable for a business. 2. The party check in desk was just horrendous because of the general line to get in, we literally had to squeeze in with all our party goods and bumping into people while waiting past our paid party time. I paid for party room to be in the actual room at 130pm, but was not even checked in until after 130pm we got into the party room to have to still set up. Do better! If you are going to charge for a certain time then make it available at that time otherwise you are lying to people and stealing them of their money. Not to mention we have to be out of the room 30 mins before the party time ends. Considering that we got into the room 15 mins late, your staff should not be rudely kicking us out just because your process for party check in and setup are lacking. I will defintely be reporting you all to BBB and leaving many bad reviews. 3. I had to keep asking staff for stuff for the party room such as our 3rd pizza arrived 30 mins later but no one came to check on us, I had to go and ask where it was. The lighter in the room was broken and I had to hunt someone down to get another. The room itself needs better ventilation and air. This is such a serious health issue with little kids and the chemical smell. 4. Lastly, you all need to do better with the amount of staff and the type of training you give staff. If you want more business defintely work on customer service. There was lack of attentiveness, or any kind of care for that matter, when asking for help or speaking to staff in general they plainly didn't care to engage with care or intention. I am not paying for your staff to be rude to me or my guests. I work in management and have for over 20 years, what I experienced this weekend really shocks me considering your website states so much has been improved. That is a total lie!

I'm not going to lie, I was kinda iffy on this place because of the reviews, so I set my expectation low. I submitted a party inquiry on their website, the price was pretty reasonable. After submitting the form, a party coordinator should contact you. I was anxious and called the facility because it was days after the online submittals. After that, she contacted me to confirm and make a payment. One part that she fell short on was saying that they would email me a few days prior to the event but the email never came, so not sure what it entails. There's two set price, $395 or $300. The room maximum is only 25 capacity. The price comes with 15 or 20 wristbands for ice skaters, depending on which rooms you choose. You let them know what color table cloth and 6 balloons you would like, it also comes with 24 bottles of water and goodie bags. You can buy more balloons, if you like. They sure make it super easy on parents. They only allow you to come 15 minutes early to set up, which isn't a lot of time. You just have to make sure that everyone arrive on time, as you only an hour to have the room to eat which doesn't seem like enough time and would feel rushed. If I could request a change, I would suggest that they let you have the room for the full 2.5 hrs. As the name suggests, there are two ice rinks at this location. We normally come here for hockey games. There is an upper view area for us to watch the game from the upper level, which is nice. However, there's no heater for the audience, so it's super cold at this location. You will have to dress like skiing, or you are likely to be frozen here. The rinks are still new, but the maintenance work hasn't been done well. Why? We came here for a state development hockey for the entire weekend, from 8 am to 8 pm daily. When I went to the bathroom in the morning, everything was in order and in good condition. But when I visited again in the afternoon, it became a messy place. Some stalls even ran out of paper! We couldn't even find any staff member at the rink. Per my hockey players' report, the ice quality of the rinks was just okay. The locker rooms for the hockey teams were kind of small. Not sure if there's any other shower place for hockey players, but I do see a shower inside the women's restrooms. Only one shower probably won't be enough for hockey players who play as a team. Apparently, whoever designed the Twin Rinks had no clue about what ice hockey players would need. Overall, if you want to skate, I still think it's a good place.

At TTR they do not allow walkers (which we prefer) and they have smaller classes and the coaches take time to work closely and at exactly the kids speed. To by honest, once we got to the rink, our 6 year old broke down in tears afraid of falling and didn't want to skate... the coaches were amazing and assigned an older, experienced kiddo to hang out with her and just let her play and get comfortable on the ice, which involved a lot of sitting and scooting for the first 20 minutes. Haha. She eventually DID stand and was skating slowly by the end of the lesson... then she was begging to return and we have been back twice this week just for open skate to practice. I'd say 4.5 stars only because their website is tough to use, though once you get signed up and figure it out, it is fine. Also, we paid $16 for 90 minutes of open skate tonight and the guys prepping for hockey practice shirked the schedule and the kids had to leave the ice 15 minutes early so that they could Zamboni. I'll mention that to them when I see our coach tomorrow... probably a miscommunication. I'd prefer to talk to them first before assuming it was intentional negligence. Overall, great experience and we'll continue as long as our kiddo is interested!
