We sent the message to check whether we could cancel a follow-up visit that seemed unnecessary to us, and the doctor replied that it would be fine to cancel. A few days later, we received a bill for sending that message. In all the years we have used Endeavor, we have never been charged for sending messages. And nowhere on the web portal does it indicate that customers will be charged for sending a message to their doctor. I called Endeavor and a representative said this is a new policy. I explained that we were never charged before, and there is no indication anywhere on the site that we would be charged for sending a message, but the representative said the charge stands. I have lodged complaints with various state agencies, and have left reviews detailing this unethical behavior. This is terrible, awful service that only encourages patients NOT to reach out to their doctors with concerns.

The next morning I am at work and they call me and I couldn't answer as I was at work. No voicemail was left. My appointment was right after work so I didn't have time to call back. I show up and there are 3 ladies at the desk. One lady addresses me and tells me she doesn't see my appointment. The other lady doesn't even address me but addresses her coworker and tells her that "we called her earlier and left a voicemail" I tell her that I was at work so I wasn't able to answer and ridicules me for not being able to answer the call "We called you so so long ago" and then goes "why don't you look at your voicemail and see why we called you" Easily could have just nicely told me the reason the call was made. I showed her my phone which had no voicemail. She tells me very aggressively and almost in a way that she assumed I was dumb that you can't just come in here and get one, you need to have your doctor order it. This woman needed some customer service training. I had made a mistake as I did not relize you needed to have a doctor order it and she instead chose to be rude. Lake Point urgent care should be the reference from which every other urgent care center is modeled: the facility is spotless but warm and inviting, the staff (especially clinical staff) are 10/10 on both medical proficiency and bedside manner, and you get answers and treatment...FAST. I don't understand why other urgent care centers...not to mention internal medicine offices...can't operate this smoothly. We typically get in and back at home with a diagnosis and filled prescription in about a hour. Dr Radovic, who owns the clinic and practices there I believe most days, is a top notch doctor who has consistently gone above and beyond for my wife and myself. If you live an hour away or less, you shouldn't go to any other urgent care.

At her birthday party she smiled from ear to ear because she could hear us sing Happy Birthday to her, something she had not been able to enjoy. That moment was made possible by the ENT and audiology team at Endeavor Health NorthShore's Northbrook location at 501 Skokie Boulevard. A little over a year ago, Flo lost all hearing in her only good ear. She could hear sound but could not make out words. She became withdrawn and depressed and lost more than 30 pounds. She stopped going to her church women's club and barely engaged with friends and family. Her world went silent. We began with Dr. Janet Han at the Swedish Hospital location in Chicago. She tried a hearing aid plan with several fittings and a loaner. When that did not help, we met in Northbrook with Dr. David D. Walker and his team, Dr. Samantha Schneider and Dr. Margaret Molloy, to talk about a cochlear implant. With guidance from Flo's geriatrician, Dr. Erica Hutz, I chose to move forward knowing there was only a fifty fifty chance it would help, because any improvement could change her quality of life. From the first appointment, this team was kind, patient, and clear. They explained every step in plain language, returned calls quickly, and coordinated scheduling so travel and visits were manageable. They spoke to Flo in a way she could follow and made her feel included in her own care. They treated me as a partner in every decision. Over the next year I attended every follow up and adjustment. There were hard days when we wondered if we made the right choice, but the team's encouragement and skill kept us going. The changes have been remarkable. Flo gained back 30 pounds, returned to her women's club, attends the senior monthly meetings at the police station, watches television again, and starts conversations with friends and caregivers. I first went to the closest location, but they couldn't get me in for a couple of hours. I didn't even realize urgent care offered appointments. The receptionist there kindly told me about another nearby location where I could make it in time for an available appointment in about 15 minutes. I'm so grateful she mentioned that option because the pain I was in was unbearable. I was also very anxious and nervous since I didn't know how serious the issue might be and I wasn't very comfortable seeing a doctor I didn't know. From the moment I arrived, the staff was kind and calming. Dr. Paulson immediately recognized how anxious I was and put me at ease right away. She was incredibly understanding and compassionate, and during the procedure she talked with me to keep my mind occupied. Before I knew it, the situation was taken care of. This experience completely changed how I feel about urgent care. I won't hesitate to go again if the situation ever arises. Even though the building is currently under construction, the location was convenient, parking was easy, and the care I received was excellent. I'm very grateful to have this facility nearby and for the wonderful staff who helped me.

I heard wailing, crying, vomiting and a host of other sounds, all from other people in the ER, all waiting to be seen. I feel for them, this is a terrible situation to be in. When I left the hospital after 10 pm, there were just as many, if not more, people in the ER. The ER and nursing staff were helpful and caring. They did what they could do in a very busy, understaffed situation. While my relative's situation is uncertain, I did not appreciate several calls from Endeavor's palliative care department. This was upsetting and scary and I was unprepared for such a call.

He told me it felt like he had strep so I wanted to get him in for a strep culture right away since he's leaving for camp this next weekend. Unfortunately, our pediatrician was fully booked for the day so I looked for options for a pediatric immediate care. Admittedly I was a little worried about the negative reviews on Yelp, but figured how hard could a strep culture be. And it ended up being a positive experience. I booked the first appointment of the day online, which was for 10am. I hoped this would prevent us from sitting in a waiting room with a bunch of sick kids on a Monday morning. When we got there we were the only people there. Hurray! I filled out the paperwork on my phone (relatively easy) and then we were called back to see the nurse and then nurse practitioner. The nurse took his temp, vitals and strep test. 10 min later the NP walked in and pronounced him strep free! She said it looked like a cold and gave us some recommendations (rest, fluids, inhaler for his asthma, etc). The whole thing took about 30 min from when we first walked into the office. They are open until 10pm, but told me their Morton Grove office is open until midnight which is good to know since those sick scares often happen late at night.

I'm itchy just thinking about it! We called a bunch of places to see if we could get in on a Monday night since we were leaving town Tuesday morning. We weren't having much luck, but then my husband spoke to Destiny here who offered to stay late for us. Amazing! We had been to this lice clinic many times in the past for camp check ups so I also trusted them. Our family of 5 showed up in destiny's chair at 730pm on Monday night. She declared us all lice free (phew) and even calmly managed my 14 year old daughter's outburst that she couldn't get her hair wet following her keratin. It was $100 to check the 5 of us, which was definitely worth it for the peace of mind to head on vacay lice free. Destiny also taught me a lot about lice during the process - like only 40% of people with it get itchy. I now know more about lice than I'd like to know, but glad to know lice clinics of America is there for us if we need them in the future.
