Once we arrived, you need to check-in at the kiosk and then your name appears on the digital screen to see who is next for the doctor. The doctor printed our report and we used the CVS Pharmacy but if you don't want to use this pharmacy, it is not required.

Nurse was good except she did some tests that seemed completely unrelated to Dr Rod had excellent interpersonal skills/bedside manner. I actually got seen 22 minutes earlier than the original projection. I drove a mile past NCH immediate care to get here because of its bad reviews and I am so glad I drove the extra mile! Exam rooms are very clean, look new too. Plenty of space and extra seats for parents that bring kids.

Literally no doctor could see me right away in my area, the minute clinic was not interested in helping me, and any doctor or clinic accepting "walk in"s for that day and the next 2 were super far and I didn't wanna navigate confusing directions for 45-60 minutes with an arm that looked & feels like bloody ABC gum. I just wanted a doctors opinion, it dressed adequately, and some hugs from my sweet black Yorkie doggie. As a last resort I started searching local doctors & called here. The receptionist I spoke to tried her damnedest to get me in immediately but couldn't so I had to wait for Monday AM. I liked they had a shared covered parking garage with free parking, they are in walking distance of the Metra and bus, and that the waiting room was very spacious and they have free WiFi. The wait was moments after check in. I saw Dr. Breger who was very personable, calm, and respectful. He also seems very knowledgable (I'd expect that since he is a teaching affiliate of University of Chicago School of Medicine). I heard wailing, crying, vomiting and a host of other sounds, all from other people in the ER, all waiting to be seen. I feel for them, this is a terrible situation to be in. When I left the hospital after 10 pm, there were just as many, if not more, people in the ER. The ER and nursing staff were helpful and caring. They did what they could do in a very busy, understaffed situation. While my relative's situation is uncertain, I did not appreciate several calls from Endeavor's palliative care department. This was upsetting and scary and I was unprepared for such a call.

We sent the message to check whether we could cancel a follow-up visit that seemed unnecessary to us, and the doctor replied that it would be fine to cancel. A few days later, we received a bill for sending that message. In all the years we have used Endeavor, we have never been charged for sending messages. And nowhere on the web portal does it indicate that customers will be charged for sending a message to their doctor. I called Endeavor and a representative said this is a new policy. I explained that we were never charged before, and there is no indication anywhere on the site that we would be charged for sending a message, but the representative said the charge stands. I have lodged complaints with various state agencies, and have left reviews detailing this unethical behavior. This is terrible, awful service that only encourages patients NOT to reach out to their doctors with concerns.

Any attempt I made to explain what happened or reconcile the situation was immediately shut down with "as per our 24 hour policy..." despite the fact that I was never informed of that policy when I called to reschedule. I followed the instructions given to me by their staff and still ended up being penalized for something that was clearly not my fault. The way this situation was handled felt incredibly unfair and unprofessional. The need for coordination between the facility and the call center is alarming, raising concerns about North Shore University Healthcare Systems' overall competence. After doing some mobility tests he told me he had never seen anything like it (exactly what you want to hear from a doctor). I asked him if it could be a blood clot and he said definitely not. I went to the ER and was almost immediately diagnosed with a blood clot and hospitalized for three days. I shared my urgent care experience with my care team in the ER and at the hospital and they all told me it was pretty obvious that's what it was and to never go to that urgent care facility again. While I understand Dr. Gershon didn't have the tools necessary to definitively diagnose me, it's concerning that he didn't even mention the possibility of a blood clot until I asked. I would not feel comfortable with anyone I care about seeing him as a doctor.
