The low tire pressure light popped on, as it tends to do in the winter, so I called over to NTCo and they said it was not a problem, they would be able to check it at any time. "Even if I can get there in 2 minutes?" I asked, as I work right down the street. And they said it was not a problem. This morning was colder than most and driving up to the door was a little confusing but it all worked out. I walked into their office and the man I had spoke with came right out and checked the tire pressure. He told me this was common in the winter, which it is but doesn't hurt to get them checked! Everything checked out okay and he sent me on my way. He said not to worry about any payment and I returned back to work. I was only clocked out for 7 minutes, so it was a fast check. My boss gets her oil changed here every time and loves them. They will take some competitor coupons and will call you when your car is ready. read more

Usually when you are a new customer the business attempts to make you feel welcome. I called 2 days prior to dropping off my car for an oil change.I showed up... the guy was very short with me. Asked if I had appointment. Told him I called and the person I spoke with took my last name and said drop off your car around 8: should be done by 2pm. The guy asked me again if I had an appointment. Which I said "I thought I did. That's what the guy told me" he takes my info. Asked for my car key. Does tell me when I should e expect a call. I had mentioned I had an air filter that I forgot to bring which he immediately says " we don't do anything that's not manufactured" how would he know if the part I have was manufactured or not? Pick up my car... gives me zero information on what was done. If there was recommendations on anything. Get in my car no sticker reminder for the next oil change. The staff here are super friendly and very helpful. I travel in my skoolie full time, and I needed help. No mechanic or shop in the area would even look at my vehicle and then I was referred here. They have a busy schedule but they fit me in the next day and not only did they replace my tire... but they took the time to teach me how to feel my tires to check if they're bad. I used to go here for geographical convenience when I lived around Bryn Mawr. I go back because they're honest, have great customer service, and do good work. The first time I used them i had ruptured a tire due to running over a nail and had temporarily patched it using Fix-a-Flat. You would be amazed how many shops turned me down due to using said goop. When I finally gave this place a try, the guy working there stayed open a little longer just so I could get there in time. He did what he could, but the tire was a loss (which he showed me where the puncture broke thru, thus proving that a patch wouldnt fix). He gave me a good deal on two new tires, rotation, and install...and even threw in a free oil change. Sweet! My brakes have been really squeaky most of the late winter/early spring. I had some work done last year by them so I was a bit concerned and wanted them checked out. As it turns out, it was mostly just a buildup of dust and debris causing the issue and nothing serious. Even though they spent a good portion of time inspecting my breaks and looking over them...I was charged nothing provided I come back for new rear tires as mine are damn near bald. Based on their track record with me thus far, its a sure thing I will be back. read more

Great experience! Local, friendly place that I drive by a million times. Saved me a lot of money! Found a repair that was unnecessary that another shop said I needed. Not open on weekends, but open til six every week night. I have had co-workers who have also taken their cars and large commercial delivery trucks here and have been very satisfied I just wish I would have found this place sooner...right under my nose. read more

From beginning to end, my experience with Jim and his associates was stellar. I had requested a quote to have one of my tires repaired and received a response within 30 minutes from Jim inviting me in to have my tire serviced same day. I dropped my car off and while Jim could not give me an exact time as to when it would be finished, he did estimate no later than 230 PM. Sure enough, at 230 i received a call that my car was ready to be picked up. When i arrived, wallet in hand, there seemed to be some issue with the computer (we've all been there.....hooray technology). Jim tried a couple of fixes but the system just wouldn't respond. So, Jim let me know that they were just going to look at it like it was my lucky day and invited me back for any other service i may need in the future. You can imagine i was completely flabbergasted but they really did thank me for choosing them and sent me on my merry way with a free patched tire. You always read those Pay it Foward posts on social media, never really thinking you'll be on the receiving end. Today i was, and for it to be from a small company, well, you're damn right I'm continuing to pay it forward today. It's easy to forget that these guys are there. They are easy to miss on the Glenwood corridor. This shop is a no frills car repair shop. The service is good, guys are nice, and they are honest. Two and half years ago the window switch on my 2002 needed to be replaced. Bobby and Steves gave me an estimate of almost $600. These guys fixed it for less than $300. This week it went out again. I took it back to northwestern and they replaced it again- and only charged me for the part- not labor. If you are looking for a fancy waiting room this isn't it. If you are looking for honest car repair this is the place. read more

What an awesome find! I moved into this area this past winter and wanted to check this place out when I needed repairs and a regular oil change. So glad I did. They were very helpful. No add-ons, no up charges. Gave me a discount on the labor, give me a discount on the oil change, because it was my first time. Appreciated the time it took to get the repairs done. They said it would be done within the day, and it was done by early afternoon. It was a very hot day, and I'm sure the mechanics needed to work in the heat. I love these guys. I thought car people you can fully trust was an oxymoron until I met Justin and Northwestern Tire Co. I have been taking my trusty, but annoying Saab there for 3 years now, and I'm so glad I found them. They have great etiquette (on the phone and in-person). They've always been realistic and accurate about how long something will take to fix and how much it will cost. I've always wanted my auto mechanic to treat my car like he would treat his/her own- and these guys do exactly that. They're recommended fixes are in the customers best interest.
