The anger is obvious to the point of being revengeful. Very sad. Our experience at Alpine Animal Hospital has been quite the opposite. They have cared for our pets for over 25 years and we wouldn't dream of taking them elsewhere. We've had our pets cared for by all of the doctors there and have NEVER complained about their service. Dr. Bailey is our primary doctor. She has never failed in any diagnosis, in recognizing the cause for behaviors our pets might be experiencing, or with any recommendations for their care. We are and will continue to be forever grateful for all of the folks at Alpine Animal Hospital. They are the best!

Four weeks later my dog is doing better. It was not an emergency situation and you guys could not see her for more than 48 hours and did not make any room or did not even try. I was told This is a common complaint about your clinic when going to the new vet..., that you guys are over scheduled at this point... I know making money is important but not at the health of our dogs. I would hope you would take this into consideration when taking on new pets and new vets that are inexperienced. Again you couldn't get my dog in the same day or even the next day so you were clearly overbooked. Not being able to see my dog same day happens but not for two days and then causing complete panic saying I have to take my dog to the emergency room when I hadn't even had a chance to speak with a vet just the receptionist. Two days without a chance to speak to the vet or get my dog in is truly not great care. Hopefully this doesn't continue to happen and you are able to see the pets you have as current patients and not just refer the out to the ER because you are over scheduled not only for same day visits but the day after as well.

We never imagined, that she would not be going home with us. When the Dr. came in and thoroughly explained the test results, that he quadruple checked to make sure they were accurate, we never felt pressured, judged, or pushed to any decision other than the one that we had no choice to make. We thanked God, that he had pointed us to these people to be the ones to watch, help, and guide us through one of the more terrible situations that a pet owner has to go through. I know how this feels for a family, and I can't imagine medical or veterinarian workers going home after guiding one or more families through this in a single day, without feeling something. When we arrived, the waiting room was empty and we were taken back to a room fairly quickly. From there, everything fell apart. We then sat in that room for an extended period while multiple other cases were brought in and seen ahead of us, with no communication, no updates, and no reassessment. It felt like once we were placed in a room, we were effectively forgotten. I made it very clear to staff that our dog has an extremely high pain tolerance--including a history that would make most dogs shut down long before showing pain--and that if she is vocalizing and guarding, something is seriously wrong. That concern didn't seem to change anything. We understand triage. We are not asking to be seen before critical cases. But there is a difference between triage and complete lack of communication or interim care. At a minimum, an emergency hospital should: * Reassess patients waiting in rooms * Communicate realistic expectations * Provide some level of pain management for animals in obvious distress None of that happened. We left with the impression that unless your pet is actively dying, you can expect to sit--unseen and unmanaged--for hours. That's not an acceptable standard for an emergency facility.

I was upset and unfamiliar with the process, which made the experience more stressful and caused some delays. To be clear, my frustration was directed at the situation and my daughter, not the facility. Despite my attitude, the staff handled everything professionally and never allowed my frustration to affect the quality of care they provided. My second experience occurred when my daughter's dog got loose. He was taken to Companion, and thankfully they posted him on their website. Because of that, we were able to locate him quickly and bring him home. Once again, the staff was professional, kind, and helpful throughout the process. My final experience was when I needed to surrender another one of my daughter's cats. During the intake process, I appreciated all the questions they asked to ensure the cat would be matched with the best possible new family. It was an emotional experience for me, and when I started crying, a staff member comforted me with a hug. Their empathy and compassion made it much easier to leave him there knowing he would be cared for. He was adopted within about a week, which made me incredibly happy. Because of these experiences, I will continue to use and support Companion's services. Every person I have met there has been wonderful. They are not only professional but also compassionate, caring, and trustworthy. Their staff consistently makes difficult situations easier, and I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of their services.

When we realized he was gone we posted it on social media. Unfortunately, rather than return the pet someone had taken it to this shelter where they made themselves completely unavailable for 3 days so we couldn't get it back. They are almost never available with no way to get hold of them most of the time. This works to their benefit as they charge you fees each day your pet is there. So they kidnap your pet and then extort you by charging exorbitant fees to get it back. We also had to drive home as it became obvious we wouldn't be able to contact them for days and we live hours from there. They took advantage of this and called me with all kinds of threats of more fees, euthenizing our dog etc.

Just make sure when you schedule that you know how many days it will take to get your pet. My 2 cats had a long 10 day journey from upstate NY to Seattle. By the time they got to Seattle they had become aggressive. Sitting in a cage for that long apparently is not fun! It might be worth it to pay a bit more for a more direct route. This is my experience with the company and based on that I would NEVER recommend them. I would suggest looking elsewhere when you are trying to move your pet to a new state, or just do it yourself. My dog almost died with Pets on Board. the previous owner was a crook, she kept promising me a refund over and over again but not after having to fight her for it. She sold the company shortly after my failed transport and guess what?? Never got a dime from her! During our conversation on the phone the new owner told me they still use the previous owner for help with the company. There's a red flag for you!! If the 17 hour drive wasn't already stressful enough, this woman was the icing on the cake. After listening to her rant I told her I wanted a refund for the failed transport. Eventually she agreed. Months went by emails and returned calls eventually stopped from this company. Until recently when I emailed them last month. I had told them I had never received my refund, and I was unhappy and felt betrayed by trusting them. Shortly after I posted a review on here, the new business owners started to call me. They told me that if I removed my review from yelp they would help me get my refund, which they agreed that I deserved. So I did, then their solution was to have me talk to the previous owner. They ignored all responsibility their company had even though they had records of my failed transport, and acknowledged I deserve a refund. Today they told me my complaint was invalid. Invalid? My dog was dropped off 17 hours away from me because he was having problems breathing. So my dogs life risking transport to them was invalid and my loss of money was invalid?? They couldn't care less about my issues with their company. They do a lot of talking, and they will give you a good run around, but new owners seem the same as the old. In the end it's same company, not worth risking your money or your pets health with them in my opinion
