I feel like they care more about getting money from the insurance more than attending to the patients need.

I once jokingly told an office manager that in my opinion, dentists aren't allowed in Heaven because they're crooks. Just my opinion, of course., I discovered Healthy Smiles through my GPS when I searched for dentists nearby., What I found at Healthy Smiles was truly exceptional. The place is professional, honest, and rare in its quality., Unlike some of my previous experiences, I wasn't frightened or coerced into a treatment plan. I felt like my concerns were genuinely listened to.,Dr. Jacklyn Nargas, the dentist, really blew me away with her attitude. She's just really nice. Mayra, the office manager, played a big role in convincing me to make an appointment. Her willingness to answer all my questions, including those about costs, impressed me and led me to schedule an appointment for the next morning., As a person with disabilities, I always prefer exceptional service, and that's exactly what I received at Healthy Smiles. I'll definitely be coming back with my family from now on., A big thank you to Dr. Jacklyn Nargas and her staff. I love your office and your team!,And to anyone reading this, if you visit Healthy Smiles, let them know that 'Walt', the tall guy who had deep cleaning and antibiotics injected, sent you. The moment when we walked in there, something just did not feel right. We were asked to fill out the paperwork and when I went back to the receptionist to ask a couple questions about the paperwork, they seemed annoyed with me for even asking. We waited for a while and then finally someone came and called my mom's name, but they were not friendly with us. I was like OK whatever. To get her x-rays, we had to wait like 30 minutes until all of the patients before us got their x-rays first. I was like, then why did they ask us to come in? The dentist didn't even look at my mom, I don't even remember her ever greeting her. The interpreters weren't not good, mumbling things in Spanish. I didn't want to intervene, but it was so bad that I told them, you know what I'll take it from here. And I explained everything with care and patience to my mom myself. Because we were unfamiliar with the process to pay for partial dentures (upper and lower), which by the way, the price tag was $7,000 after my mom's insurance kicked in, I asked more questions and I asked them to explain the process to me one more time before we committed. Again, they seemed annoyed. I did not feel they were patient at all and I could tell that they were trying to be. But trying to be patient is not good enough when you are working with new patients nervous, sensitive, or elderly. I should've seen this coming since I made the appointment over the phone. They were just unfriendly. Overall, my experience at this dentistry was unpleasant. The staff was cold, impatient and impersonal.

Made a mistake of choosing a dental crown instead of just fixing a chip from my front tooth. The…read moredentist here pushed for dental crowns to fix a bonded chip tooth. Probably because insurance will pay more and patient copay will be more. It's all about money here and how much they can make out of you and your dental insurance. They said if they fix it with bonding now, I would have to wait another 6months to do the crown. He made it sound like doing the crown is the better option. What he didn't tell me was what will happen if the crowns failed. Story short the crowns on my 2 top front teeth looks like bunny teeth and for them to fix it, dentist here said I will need to have root canals so that I wont have to feel the pain/sensitivity when he takes out more of my healthy teeth in order to have a better fit for the crowns. So that means they will have to charge my dental insurance more and me for more copay. Do not get talked into getting crowns because if it fails, there's no other solution but to do root canals and amputating healthy teeth. These are such invasive procedures. I'm embarrassed to smile now and can't even talk properly. Totally unacceptable. Giving this place a 1 star is generous. There should be a zero star.
