My wife and I have been seeing Dr. Danielle Feder for our annual eye examinations since 2017. We have never had more competent and thorough examinations than with Dr. Feder and the N.E.C. optometric team. The front desk staff is excellent. They also have an large selection of frames and an knowledgeable team of opticians to assist when we need to choose new ones. Dr. Goldberg was great! Check in went well, wait time was perfect. Please purchase glasses online, like any other optometrist office the over charging is extreme. Not to mention if you don't have insurance it will be even be more expensive for your frames and lens. read more

I've only been in the area for a year, so I have trouble finding services that I can trust, and I've had a few really bad experiences. Norwalk Eye Care was the best one so far. I was a little bit trepidatious about the one or two initial upsell attempts, but they didn't press, and as soon as I explained my preferences, they happily helped get me into the exams and contacts that I need. I was absolutely astounded by their sheer professionalism. They even knew exactly how to work with some overlapping coverages from an insurance switch I made earlier this year, and got me an insanely good deal. This will definitely be my optometrist for as long as I'm in Connecticut. I only wish my other medical care providers here did half as good a job as these folks. read more

I really cannot say enough great things about this place. The care and service is top notch from the moment you walk in. I went in with a lower lid infection and saw Dr. Goldberg. (after only having to wait about 3 minutes in the waiting room) She spent a ton if time explaining everything to me and walked me through how she was going to treat it. The treatment was quick and painless and I walked out feeling a thousand times better. Having an eye infection stinks -- but without them it would have been the worst!!! I stopped by for an eye exam on Friday morning at 8 AM. Everyone was friendly and welcoming when I walked in. The only issue I had was that the doctor assumed I was going to purchase a pair of glasses/lenses that same day, without asking me first and I noted on my form that I would not be purchasing glasses the same day of my exam. At the end of my exam, my doctor said "well looks like you're getting a new pair of glasses today" and when I told her that I was actually purchasing them online for a 75% less cost, she tried her best to talk me out of it which made me feel very uncomfortable because she had no idea what my financial situation was, nor did she bother to ask why I preferred online. Not everyone has $250.00-$300.00 to drop on the spot. There are more affordable options. When my exam was over and my payment was all set, I had to ask for a copy of my exam results before walking out lol thought that they issued that right away without requesting it. I have delayed buying new frames for my prescription, but finally pulled the trigger after browsing Norwalks product floor after my appointment. I enjoyed everything about my visit to Norwalk Eye care. They treated my two young sons with patience and kindness. They explained all of the tests every step of the way and were accommodating right from the minute I called to inquire if they took my insurance. The staff even called me to let me know an earlier appointment had opened up and gave me the option to take it. Dr Goldberg was knowledgeable and thorough while examining my boys, myself and my husband, answering all of my inquiries with a smile. Dr Stewart who did not even examine us was also friendly and made sure our needs were met. When it came time to purchase glasses Jaime was kind and helpful and had all the insurance paperwork prepared upon my exit.
