I found him thanks to Yelp, and noticed he was local to my home and quickly reached out regarding my unfavorable damage to my vintage LV wallet. This 2004 coin purse wallet combo has seen better days, and when my wallet was rejected for repairs from the original source, I didn't want to give up on it. Paul asked me to send pictures of the damages so he could quote me properly due to the amount of work involved. We agreed on a price and even the amount I had to leave for deposit wasn't an issue. He wanted to make sure that I would trust his judgement and value his work. Paul said to give him a week and he delivered it to me in 5 days time! Be sure to always ask him what the store hours are, as he unfortunately is experiencing flood damages to his work space. How he was still able to fix this wallet for me in such dire conditions, I'll never know. He's chatty and friendly, and could use more foot traffic as this kind of work is clearly dying in the industry. He seamless repaired my coin purse compartment that kept leaking coins all over my bag, as well as the bills compartment that was fatigued. The work is perfect; beat that 5th ave! Owner answered in Russian asking me why I didn't call him - as if the shop only opens when a customer calls - and why I didn't deposit my boots in a locked box at the entrance. I'm not about to leave my boots not knowing if they are repairable! I asked if the shop open now - was told to call back at ~2:30pm. I called at 2:42pm, didn't recognize the voice who answered, asked again if the shop is open - in English - and got yelled at for speaking English! Was told not to play games (!) and not to be rude (for speaking English!). Naturally, I hang up and will not place any orders with this so called business. PS. Seeing response to my review insulting me for trying to give them business confirms this is a nasty place, totally unprofessional. I do NOT recommend anyone to deal with them, ever!

The quality of work has diminished quite a bit recently and I'm not sure why. The last time I…read morevisited, the owner was very aggressive with me because I couldn't find my ticket. His extreme anger was really mystifying. He told me that people come back a year later without a ticket and get mad at him when he can't find their item, but that's not what happened with me. I came several weeks after the drop off and I just couldn't find the ticket in my purse. (Honestly, it's happened several times in the past and it was never a problem.) He asked me what I had dropped off so he could try to find it. I told him and then he yelled at me "I don't even known what that means" and "that doesn't tell me anything." We eventually found the two pairs of shoes and I left in shock to get away from his anger. One pair of sandals needed a new sole cover because the old one was peeling. It looks like a child did the work- this is not what I have come to expect here. The second pair of shoes, suede pumps, were supposed to be stretched. They weren't stretched at all. I'm not sure what happened to cause this change but I'm not comfortable going back any more.

I have bought some expensive shoes and they were too big maybe a half size too big I took it to him and he knew what the situation was right away. He told me come back in an half hour. He said these are very good shoes, (Gucci) but he's gonna make them a little better. He added a little Rubber soul at the bottom, some taps at the heel and he put a insert in Which made the shoe fit excellently.
