When I contacted customer service, I was told that the shams are cut randomly from the fabric and therefore are not intended to match. I understand that pattern placement can vary somewhat, but when a customer purchases two coordinating shams for the same bedding ensemble, it is reasonable to expect them to look like a pair. My mother specifically wanted the shams to complement her bedspread and each other. Had I known that two shams ordered together could look noticeably different, I would not have purchased them. Most disappointing was the response from customer service. I offered to return one sham in exchange for one that more closely matched the other, but they were unwilling to provide a solution. For a company known for traditional, quality bedding, I expected better attention to detail and a greater willingness to make things right.
