We have been customers of Norwood Light for years, and we have never been disappointed. Their customer service is helpful, and their technicians know how to get the job done. Previously, we had Comcast, which left a mess with the wires entering our house. In contrast, Norwood Light is meticulous and always checks if the location of their equipment works for us. Incompetent, rude and horrible customer service. I'm willing to bet that if they had any competition they would be a lot more organized and capable. Make sure to spell everything out for them slowly and carefully or else they will put down the completely wrong address and not figure it out until you call three times. Idiots. Update: we've lived in this town for almost six months now and have lost power at least three times. Witnessed a young kid employed by Norwood light cut 8 people in line at D and G deli in Norwood. There were women, elderly, kids waiting in line. 8........He was about 4 in front of me and he looked at the line grabbed a sandwich from the frig cut the line and placed his money on the counter saying I am buying this and left. Shameful behavior and representative of what is wrong with our culture in the country. So any Norwood light employees who have any integrity please dope slap this kid ... read more

I've lost electric service 4 times in the last 5 weeks. I'm not sure what's happening but the level of service being provided is not very good. I'm considering moving to another town because of this. read more

Absolutely HORRIBLE! - I called back in May because I was moving to Norwood in June. The employee on the phone was very helpful, I asked him what they were offering for promotions if any because comcast was offering a $200 gift card, the employee told me I would get the first 2 months free, but I would have to sign up for the promotion in may, the same promo would not be available in June. So I signed up over the phone, YAY right? wrong. So first they come to install the boxes, 3 boxes, the main one being a HD DVR box, the technician installs everything and leaves, that night I start to watch the Bruins stanley cup final on my brand new 55inch HD TV and the picture is pixelated every time there is a quick motion on the tv.. Ok so I call to explain the issue and they send a technician out a few days later , the technician puts in a newer box (says to me you should have gotten this box in the first place) - He leaves, I watch another stanley cup game that night, same exact problem, now i am very annoyed, so I call the next day, they send a third technician out, this guy is completely baffeled as to why I have this "newer" box, when its not the newest box, so he goes back to the office, drives back and installs the new box, NOW the TV is Finally working great. Next issue, remember the second month free? Ok well I received a coupon and the coupon says to bring it down to the office to redeem it, no problem, I go to the office and lady tells me its only for the 1st and 6th month free, I tell her this is not what I was told, I explain my story, she tells me that I have to call on Monday and speak to the supervisor. Ok I call back Monday, the supervisor took a vacation day so he isnt in, but he will call me tuesday... Ok fine... So Tuesday comes around, I happen to be at work on a confrence call so I miss the call, but I got a v/mail. I listen the the voicemail the supervisor says "I remember you coming in, I was the one who signed you up in the office, I appologize for the confusion, but this promotion is only for the first and sixth month" - So I return his call, I explain to him, that I am not the person that he signed up in his office, because I signed up over the phone back in May. I explain my situation and tell him that if I was initally told that the promo is for the first and sixth month that I would be completely fine with it, but that is not what i was told, I was told first 2 months free. His reply to me was, "I train all my employees to say the same thing and you only heard what you wanted to hear" - REALLY? Are you kidding me? - I explain to him that I was a retail manager for 11 years and unfortunatly what we train our employees to say to our customers is not always what is exactly delivered to each and every customer, he again says to me "well since you were a manager you should know then, that customers only hear what they want to hear, they hear two months and they run with it", I tell him, I am not an idiot like he is treating me, I know what was said to me. He then says well we can't give you the first two months free, because if we offered that to customers then after the two months customers would leave and go to comcast... Well I told him that thats exactly what was going to happen and hung up on him, I called back to speak to his manager and explain the situation not because I wanted the second month free because I don't want it anymore, ( I have already called comcast and I will be returning the current boxes to Norwood Light), I called back because upper management should know how their supervisors are treating their customers. - I left a message for his boss, Im still waiting on a return call... read more
