We just got wind of this cheesecake spot in Bethany so the wife and daughter when to pick us up a couple of taste test cakes. As a big cheesecake lover these are legit. I had the Strawberry No Shortcake and my kid had the Oh Really Oh (for all you Oreo cookie lovers...I'm not one of them). I usually go for the more exotic cheesecakes at Cheesecake Factory like the birthday, carrot cake, or pineapple cheesecake, but for a basic strawberry topped cheesecake, Not Cho Cheesecake outdid themselves. Stumbled upon Not Cho Cheesecake while attending the Memorial Day Car Show in Bethany, and Lord have mercy, I'm glad I did! Truly one of the most delicious cheesecakes I've ever had - and I love being able to support a local, black-owned business versus The Cheesecake Factory! We had the "Strawberry, Not Shortcake" and "Big Mama" (Peach) - and they were delicious. They may seem pricey to some, but honestly one cake can feed two people and even last two times for dessert. Not overall sweet, creamy, decadent, and good cheesecake. Holds up well, so when you dip your fork in, it doesnt crumble or anything. I LOVE the named of the cheesecake and they're very catchy. This business has popped up on Yelp several times when I've been getting to know the area and looking for must try places. My family was in the way to dinner around the corner and past by. I asked my 6 yr old cheesecake lover if we should check it out? Of course he said yes so we turned around and told my husband & daughter we'd see them at the restaurant. We were warmly greeted by I assume I owner. I let her know we were first time visitors and she asked if we would like I run down of the flavors, I replied "yes please!" Every flavor sounded delicious. There were about 10 options and it was very hard to decide what to leave with. I choose The Key, my son choose cookie dough and at the owners recommendation Not Yo Mama's Banana Pudding. SO GOOD. The banana pudding was a perfect blend of cheesecake & pudding. Not too sweet but full of flavor. Key lime is amazing with lots of cheesecake flavor but enough lime to know it's there. The graham cracker crust is so good. Haven't tried the cookie dough but I suspect it will be delicious as well. Please make a point to try & support this wonderful business!! Wow! They really know how to make a good cheesecake. I got the $10 size Strawberry and Tennessee Whiskey. The texture was perfect, and on the thicker side which I prefer. If you don't pre- order then check to see which cheesecakes are available that day. If you order ahead then there are like 20 different flavors to choose from. Unfortunately if you call, to verify time of pickup, it will go straight to voicemail. My pickup time was for AFTER 2pm. I arrived at 2:10. Tried to call the two numbers I found. No answer. Finally got someone through the Message Me option on their website. Someone did arrive after an hour of waiting in the heat and rain. No apology, was just told that I could have my money back instead of the cheesecakes. The three cheesecakes I purchased were good, but wasn't worth the trouble that I experienced. Me and my friends will probably not be back due to poor customer service! There are too many great small local businesses, out here to support, to have to settle for that. read more

The BEST cheesecake I've ever had! I tried the KrunchTime, Big Mama, and Tennessee Whiskey! The cheesecake is very smooth not too sweet. The crust is perfectly made that pairs amazingly with the cheesecake. This was the first cheesecake that I DIDN'T need to have a drink to help wash it down.
