This was actually our favorite meal in Grand Lake! The portions are HUGE and the flavors are so fresh. My husband and I shared a burrito along with a chicken quesadilla. Both were big and extremely filling. We took home leftovers. Get a side of chipotle ranch! I loved dipping the quesadilla in that. Our friend ordered the Not Cho nachos and said they set the standard for nachos moving forward. He absolutely loved them. I enjoyed the outdoor dining space a lot. The margaritas were fairly priced and looked delicious. I can't drink right now so it was a bummer I had to skip those. The food options in Grand Lake are pretty mid but this is a solid choice. read more

Very bad experience. We were a group of 10+ people returning from the mountains--some of us weren't feeling well due to the altitude and were waiting in the car while we placed a food order for everyone. We forgot to ask for an ETA at the time of ordering, so we went back in to check. Out of nowhere, the server started yelling: "You just ordered food 5 seconds ago and now you need an ETA?" The entire restaurant went silent--everyone was stunned by the outburst. All we did was ask a basic question so we could plan accordingly and avoid waiting out in the heat (especially with some members not feeling well). They don't have any shaded seating outside either to wait there. We reported the behavior to the manager, who spoke with the staff member. But unbelievably, the same cook/server had another loud outburst right after--and that was the final straw. Everyone in restaurant left right after and we ended up going to another restaurant. No idea how this place is being run, but the service was aggressive and totally unacceptable. Ton of great restaurants around, so save yourself time and peace of mind. read more

This place is fantastic! Great food and good customer service at a nice price. We are from Houston and know what good "Tex Mex" tastes like. We had the Chicken Tinga Burrito, the Steak Salad, Carnitas tostadas, and the quesadilla. All were excellent and unique in their own way. This place could do very well in a Texas suburb or city but it was a relief to find it in the quaint town of Grand Lake. read more

I was skeptical since its the menu looks like standard 'bar' Mexican Food but was I pleasantly surprised! Almost everything is house made, and Very Good! Carne Asada had great flavor - you can tell its marinated. Tinga Chicken has spicy kick AND Flavor. Walking around the charming town of Grand Lake, we stumbled across this cool looking Mexican place. Lo and behold, I find out it's fairly new. With that said, we ordered a couple items for lunch to split amongst 3 people - the Not-Cho Nachos and the grilled grande burrito. It took some time to arrive, but it indeed did. And man, I didn't realize how huge the serving was. We had a hard time finishing the food, but it was so good. We almost got a food coma that we had to walk some more around town and in RMNP to avoid falling asleep. What a fun place! read more

Awesome new restaurant in Grand Lake!! Mexican food at its best. They don't open until noon-so we waited like an hour but it was worth it. The food is freshly made and it was tasty!! I had the white man's tacos with ground beef. They have indoor and outdoor seating. They are pet friendly. Parking is on the street. There is a Cantina next door. The price is right!! This is a new restaurant and Cantina in downtown grand lake. The cantina is in one building while the grill is adjacent across the court yard. The food was very delicious and plentiful. The Margaritas were made and not poured from a premix. The owners are the people you deal with and they could not be nicer. The service was personal and fantastic. We were told they will be open Mid-may to October. read more

This place was amazing and tasted so good! We were just passing by and took a peek at the menu when we decided to eat here. We got the loaded fries with carne asada and the Mama's nachos with carne asada and both were amazing! The meat tasted fantastic and just both dishes were great. They had a long line but got order going and food out really quick even with one person taking orders. The salsas they offer are so freaking good and I wish they sold them because I want them at home! It is obvious that they make their food in house because the quality shows. They have tons of outdoor seating with umbrella's but not really anything indoors. The staff is amazing and do a great job getting the food out as proficiently as possible. I will definitely return to this place when we come back to Grand Lake. read more

Wow, very good spot in Grand Lake. We had lunch here. They have 2 stores. The cantina has food and alcoholic drinks and the grill has food and sodas. We chose the grill as we are not drinkers. You order at the counter and then chose your seat. It's like a garage setting so you can eat inside but still feel like you're outside. Everything was really good. My husband said he wishes he would have got the tacos after he ate one of mine. I even ate the refried beans and I hate beans! We would definitely eat here again! read more

Good food. No service since it's sort of Chipotle style with beepers when your food is ready. Clean up yourself. Ambiance is great in summer since it's a patio right on the main strip of town. We were able to sit and enjoy people going by while sipping on our drinks! read more

Overall don't waste your money. Ball park style food. They do at least fry their own chips; however, they are just same tortillas you can buy at the grocery store and fry at home. read more

Based on some good reviews, we decided to give this place a try. we were not disappointed! Great service, tasty and very fresh food done up in a delicious way. House margaritas tasted as good as they should, and the Papadilla with tinga chicken was delicious. served with plenty of sour cream, fresh guacamole and tasty salsa, it was much more than we could eat. The grilled grande burrito was also fab, but not so spicy, which was okay. Bring your appetite, as the portions are generous. we took home nearly half of our order (except the refreshing margaritas, which went away fast). This is a new place in Grand Lake this summer. I've tried it twice and the food is delicious. The portions are large. The first time I had tacos and nachos and second time just had nachos. The owners are accommodating and nice. There are a few tables inside and nice patio. AND now for bit of business advice for owners. I grew up here and Grand Lake has a short season of just about 12 really good weeks. This place has chosen to close on Sunday and Monday. Ask any longtime business and they will say you have to be open 7 days in summer. Please find a way to do this I want you to survive. I love your food read more
