Such a great spot! Ordered a light snack including fries and a salad. The salad greens were fresh and the salad toppings were tasty. Can't wait to come back and try a full meal.

    Vegan Italian sub

Meant to write this review a while ago... I got the Italian sub and it was great! Perfect beach sandwich! The people who work there are nice too. There's a bunch of stuff on the menu that I can't wait to try, so grateful for a vegan spot that serves more than salads and juice... Please visit this spot if you're in Salem!

Okay; this is a tough place to review because you want to encourage vegan community, but you also don't want to go someplace and be treated like you shouldn't bother the staff. Positive: the food is great, I've eaten here four times and everything is wonderful. Inbetween: they have tshirts and merch; poorly arranged, but this part has a lot of potential. Negative: the staff has the worst attitude I've ever encountered in a vegan restaurant. There is this one shorter person with died hair at the register and either she hates her job, hates her life, or just hates the customers but I've never seen a worse attitude problem at the front counter. If she worked for me she would be fired in a day. Every person I've encountered who work there have the absolute worst attitude issues, no customer service skills at all. Also, those 11:00AM opening hours in a weekend are awful. This place has a lot of potential for greatness but there needs to be an employee shake up and a real manager needs to be brought in.

Food was decent, not my favorite vegan place but satisfied my hunger. The place was very casual and in a perfect area for exploring Salem.

Crispy Chick'n Sandwich and chips ($19 total)

One of the only vegan spots in Salem, I knew I needed to try this, and although I was initially stunned by the higher prices ($17 for a burger with an additional $5-7 to add on fries), the portions are quite generous, and I really enjoyed the food. The crispy chickn sandwich was cooked to the perfect texture, arrived hot, and had just the right amount of sauce. I got chips instead of fries which were only $2.25, going to show how they probably make their money. I also got their apple cider ($5.50) which was quite refreshing and aromatic. Overall, the food was so delicious but like most of Salem, prices are jacked up!

Salem has understandably developed its city's economy around the infamous witch trials. And while it does take effort to look past the kitsch to learn about this terrible history, you don't have to look far to find amazing vegan food. Not Ya Mama's Vegan, recently relocated from Worcester, serves the BEST vegan chick'n patty. It's moist, plump, and thick and made fully in-house, confirmed by the nice man at the counter. So good, we got it on two dishes, the Caesar salad and the crispy chick'n sandwich. Not to discount its other offerings. It just means we're saving it for the next time we roll through (I'm looking at you, Reuben sandwich). NYMV is located on the north end of Witch City Mall, with a spacious dining area, and is not to be missed.

    Nashville hot sandwich

Best tasting vegan and maybe best tasting Nashville hot sandwich I've had. Great selection in vegan foods. Our group had 2 meat eaters with no food restrictions, 1 vegan, 1 lactose free and 1 gluten free. It made it an easy choice for food with such dietary needs. Highly recommended.

Nice to have another vegan restaurant option North of Boston. Not Ya Mama's Vegan (formerly in Worcester) has opened up a new location in the original Jodi Bee's location which is just to the right of the main door to the Witch City museum. Tried an iced matcha, side of mac and cheese and a Rueben and all of the food was good.

We came here to try their vegan food while visiting Salem for the day. This place is located close by to the visitor center (around the corner). There is plenty of indoor seating. We came around 1 pm and there were several tables available. This place promotes a LGBTQ+ friendly environment, which is great. Menus are located on the counter and you proceed to order at the counter, give your name, and the food is delivered to your table. The food is served well and tastes great! We got the crispy chicken sandwich, Reuben sandwich, an order of fries, and Mac n cheese. The restaurant staff were friendly and welcoming. Overall, I'd definitely come back when back in the area!

Not Yo Mama's Vegan Cafe is hands down my favorite spot for plant-based eats on the North Shore! On my last visit I tried a special they were running, the vegan chicken wrap/taco pictured in my Yelp photo. At just $4.50 each, I grabbed two, and honestly I could have eaten a third. The "chicken" was tender and well seasoned, the veggies were fresh and crunchy, and the sauce tied everything together with just the right kick. Beyond the food, the staff was upbeat and helpful, and my order came out quickly even though the place was buzzing. Value wise, it's tough to beat. They have generous portions without breaking the bank. Whether you're a longtime vegan or just curious, Not Yo Mama's delivers bold flavors and a friendly vibe every time. Can't wait to go back and see what other creative specials they roll out next, highly recommend!

Been a vegetarian for a very long time and this is some of the best vegan food that I didn't make for myself! In the heart of Salem connected to the witch city mall. Staff was very excellent. Kind, courteous, and quick to be helpful. This is definitely not a place for a healthy vegan meal. They do it dirty here. But if you're looking for some vegan comfort food this is the place. The only other thing I can say is that the price is on the high end but vegan food (and being a tenant of Salem I'm sure it's not cheap).

I was looking for vegan-friendly options near my hotel, and this spot was conveniently close by. The menu had so much to choose from: bowls, handhelds, drinks, desserts, and more. I don't usually order iced coffees or teas, but the Blueberry Cloud Matcha sounded too interesting to pass up. It came out beautifully layered, with whipped foam on top, matcha in the middle, and blueberry syrup at the bottom. I noticed some people using straws, but I drank it without one, and it was delicious. The foam blended into everything perfectly while still keeping those pretty layers. My bowl came out soon after and was just as nicely presented. I especially loved the whipped sweet potato, which was such delicate touch. The bowl was also very filling, with lots of fresh, hearty ingredients, so I couldn't quite finish it--but it was satisfying and delicious. I visited late in the afternoon, around 3pm on a sunny Friday, and the cafe was still packed. There was plenty of seating, including cozy corners and brighter areas near the windows. Overall, it felt peaceful, relaxed, and very much like a community hub. If you're visiting Salem and looking for a vegan-friendly spot, this is definitely worth checking out.

Because the crust is so thin, it pools a decent amount of grease in the middle when it comes out right out of the oven. The pizza is significantly better if you let it cool and rest for a good 5 mins. Also makes it much easier for kids to eat after it sets up a little bit, otherwise it's going to fall apart/have cheese sliding off/put your kids in a downward spiral if you're like me. The funky outer-space theme is packed with incredible memorabilia, including signed items from Star Wars, Star Trek, The X-Files, and more. Everywhere you look there's something interesting to check out while you wait for your food. The pizza absolutely lived up to the hype; fresh, flavorful, and worth the trip. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and made sure our family had everything we needed. They had unfortunately run out of their famous garlic rolls, so we tried the gluten-free garlic slices instead. While we appreciated having an alternative, they just weren't the same. One funny family moment: my youngest was afraid to use the bathroom because of all the graffiti on the walls! Once I explained it was part of the restaurant's quirky aesthetic, he laughed about it. One small heads-up for future visitors: there is a step immediately outside the exit that can be easy to miss. My son took an unexpected tumble walking out. Thankfully, he wasn't hurt, but it's worth watching your step. Overall, the incredible pizza, unique atmosphere, and excellent service made this a place we'd happily visit again. If you're in the area, this place is definitely worth a landing.
