I tried a loaf of "sourdough" bread which lacked the crumb, crust and flavor I expected. It ate rather like a brioche; I suspect it was simply mislabeled, so there's no point in being harsh about it. Everything changed when I laid eyes on the crumb-topped peach pie, a creation of singular beauty. Love at first sight, it turns out, is real, and everything the appearance promised was delivered in the first bite. It was transcendent. My family devoured this gift from heaven at room temperature, heated à la mode, and in clandestine fingerfuls stolen greedily from the box. This pie will be part of every summer from now on.

We walked straight in and got 3 of the newest edition in literally 10 minutes if that!!! We were the only customer in at 3:30 pm on a Monday so really quiet but cute bakery shop! For jarring my memory and giving me memories to fix not writing a great review for this place. We traveled to Brevard back in 2022 for one of our annual leaf viewing tours. Fun fact about Brevard! There are white squirrels everywhere. There are also regular brown squirrels too. My wife told me about this before we got here but it's strange, there are so many of them. One of the oddest things I find is that there are no mixed squirrels. Like kinda brown, or kinda white, it's either one or the other. They hang together, surely they get it on. What the hell is going on here?!?!? Where did they come from? Why haven't they spread to other areas?? Anyway.... About this bakery. We stopped by here a few times for meals and snacks. Most of it was just pretty good and nothing to really write home (lol) about. I did not know this at the time and did not truly savor the moment well enough. I had the absolute best pastry I have ever had in my life here. I often think back to it and when I see a similar looking pastry only to be let down when I try it. It was the scone to beat all other scones!!! So freaking good!! Orange Pistachio Coriander was the flavor and nothing will ever beat it I am afraid!! The cupcakes were almond flavored and the cake was split up into 3 different flavors: carrot on top; chocolate in middle; champagne on bottom; and all with a raspberry filling and swiss meringue buttercream for icing... IT WAS PHENOMENAL! Everyone loved the flavors. A favorite seemed to be the champagne (don't know how to explain the flavor, you just gotta try it). I also had her do buttercream flowers that cascaded down the cake onto the cupcakes. It was soooo sooo beautiful. I couldn't stop looking at it. She truly outdid herself and beyond exceeded my expectations. She was easy to communicate with, very dependable and I didn't have to worry about a thing on my wedding day.
