For instance, I wanted a very muted, sage green chocolate on my cake pops and golden sprinkles and BHoS was able to accommodate, no questions asked; and this was just for one item. She's able to give you any color frosting, sprinkles, designs... let your imagination go crazy! Not only were my little desserts BEAUTIFULLY made, they were delicious and a hit at the wedding. We ran out of desserts because people kept coming back for more! BHoS was amazingly affordable for the intricate quality of the desserts and I'm assuming it was Bella I was communicating with, but she was just so friendly to communicate with. I referred my cousin to BHoS for her wedding coming up, and I actually hope to hire BHoS in the future for holidays or birthdays! The interior is clean and simple and a bit sparse, but there are sample display of bouquet designs that are truly incredible for all seasons and occasions. At the counter you have regular cupcakes in assorted flavors of the day. Then there are limited "a la carte" (not pre-ordered) bouquet cupcakes in sets of 4 or 6 for sale. She is a one-woman-army and I admire her for her dedication. One discrepancy was that we arranged for pick-up at 1 pm and I was later told it was between 1:30-2pm. Not a big deal but I ended up getting back to the house for the party late with the key. So I had to rush. Jelisa was kind to help me load them into my car carefully though. I ordered a bouquet of 12 cupcakes and also ordered 2 dozen mini cupcakes in the color and design fitting the color scheme for my best friend's med school graduation. These were A HUGE HIT at the graduation party. Everyone kept asking about them and they drooled over the sweet fresh rich flavors!! I am not a big dessert person but I could not stop at one cupcake!! I beelined it over there to check them out. Why? Because I do luv a good bakery. As I walked into the shop, there was a gentleman at the counter. He turned out to be the owner, Carlos. Him and his wife own the shop which they opened about a year ago. She's the baker. Their speciality is custom order cakes. Gorgeous, sophistically designed cakes. But they are not a one trick pony. No sirree. They also sold cupcakes, trifles, cream puffs, and tarts. They were all sitting pretty looking divinely delicious in a refrigerated counter. I bought two cupcakes. One was a honey roasted peanut butter on chocolate cupcake and the other I forgot the name of. But it was a chocolate cupcake of some sort with a vanilla type of cream frosting. Those were $4.50 a piece. Carlos told me the cupcakes are cold but best eaten about 40 minutes to a hour at room temp. Sorry to say I had no will power to wait that long. They both got devoured shortly after I got back to my car. Even without the wait, it was delicious. Moist, flavorful cake. The frosting was delicious and piped on perfectly. Sure the frosting was a bit stiff when I ate it because I had no patience to let it settle to room temp, but it didn't take away from the taste. Homemade perfection.

Everything was delicious. You'd never guess these are vegan/gluten-free/dairy-free -- they're just straight-up amazing pastries. Bottom line: Pushkin's is a gem.
