So typically when you get cake/cupcakes that are this beautiful...they don't usually taste amazing. That is not the case here. These cupcakes are absolutely delicious and STUNNING. The woman who helped us, I am assuming was the owner, was very patient because I couldn't decide between flavor or aesthetics lol I ended up getting both because I needed to know if they tasted as good as they looked. Now...$6.50 seems steep for a cupcake, but when you see these floral cupcakes, you can see allllllll the time and detail that went into them. They are worth it. I can't wait to place a custom order here! read more

I rescued a To Good To Go box from here. I was not that impressed. While all the cupcakes are beautiful the taste and flavors that we tried weren't that great. The Mint Oreo ones frosting was a big miss. It's spearmint not like the mint it should be. The lemon lavender was good but didn't really taste any lavender. The vanilla rainbow chip was decent and the peanut butter one was decent too. But unless I was going for some impressive display for an event I wouldn't buy here again, and I definitely wouldn't pay full price for a cupcake from here. Unfortunately a Walmart or Safeway bakery can get the job done for a lot less money. Edited: Fair enough. I will purchase new cupcakes and if I was wrong will remove my review. read more

We ordered 3 custom letters and several bouquets of cupcakes for a large event. Not only were we were able to choose the specific flowers we desired, we got them in our custom colors as well! Jelisa is an artist who provides exceptional customer service. She hand delivered the large order to us on the morning of our event. From placing an order online to pick, up the process was so easy! Cupcakes were boxed perfect for transporting them-I was worried how that would work. Spend time going thru the gallery because I was amazed at all the different options. Indiv flowers?! Bouquets!? Monograms?!? And all of them were beautiful! I'm extremely disappointed with Bundle of Cakes and their terrible customer service. My family ordered a custom cake a week in advance for my niece's birthday party, with pickup scheduled for Saturday by 4 PM. Without a single call or text, I received an email at 1:30 PM on Saturday saying I had until 2 PM to pick up the cake--just 30 minutes' notice. I was at work and couldn't make it in time, and their only "solution" was for me to pick it up the following Tuesday. Not only is that completely unreasonable (cakes don't stay fresh that long), but the party we had planned for weeks would have already passed. For how expensive this custom cake was, I expected way better service. Instead, I had to scramble last-minute and ended up buying a cheesecake from The Cheesecake Factory just to have something for the party. Safe to say, I will never be coming back here. read more

I called to place my order a couple weeks ago and told them that we were having a tropical luau theme, and they went above and beyond to create the most beautiful and delicious tropical flower cupcakes that perfectly fit our theme. Oh WOW...if I could give more than 5 stars, I sure would give 10+...I saw this company on Good Day. I was wanting something special for my daughter...just for a pick me up, as she has been going thru a lot and working so many tiring hours. I ordered a bouquet of 12 cupcakes and they were all so beautifully decorated perfectly with 2 different colors of pink roses with babies breath and greenery. It's hard to believe that this bouquet was actually cupcakes. And the smile that was on my daughters face as a presented her with this beautiful bouquet was so heart warming. She could not believe they were actually cupcakes...she said, "These look to beautiful to eat!!!" Everyone needs to check this place out!!! I will definitely be going back. I ordered (last minute) beautiful floral cupcakes for a friend starting a new job. I was surprised I could place an order for pickup so quickly, as early as next day! (They offer local delivery as well.) Ordering on their website was quick and easy. I loved being able to customize every single cupcake, from picking different colors for each cupcake, to choosing different flowers and so many more extra add on's. There were SO many different types of colors and flowers to choose from, making the decision difficult. Pickup was easy. The cupcakes were GORGEOUS and the packaging was beautiful. The only minor issue I had was I wrote a message for the card on their website, but the card attached to the cupcakes cut my message off. The max character limit should match what can fit on the card. Overall, I definitely loved my experience and love to support local businesses. I will be a regular and will order plenty of cupcakes in the future. read more

I heard about this spot by someone I follow on IG who raved about them and was ecstatic to hear they are right here in Sacramento AND BLACK OWNED which I always support . I dropped into the store one day, greeted beautifully by staff who showed me the ropes a bit and let me taste a few samples of the monthly specials. THESE CUPCAKES ARE GORGEOUS and that's what drew me to them.... To gorgeous to eat . I bought 4 different flavors to try. S'mores was my favorite! Although the presentation is amazing, the flavor and texture profile were missing for my crew. They weren't bad at all, I just wish they were more moist and that the FLAVOR was more pronounced. As a professional pastry chef myself, the thing I most looked forward to for my wedding was cake tasting. The day came and I had a professional cake tasting set up near my venue in Tahoe. Well, we woke up and my fiancee was sick and couldn't taste, the cakes we tasted (not at Bundle of Cupcakes, to be clear, we're on a journey here) weren't great, the lady was rude and the minimum was essentially unattainable for the number of people we were having and to top it off they don't DELIVER a WEDDING CAKE a few miles down the road. Well, to say the least I was grumpy and sad on our drive home to Tahoe. My sick fiancee was passed out in the passenger seat and I was driving and I realized we'd drive right past the very recently opened storefront for bundle of cupcakes. I thought - it can't hurt. I had followed Jelisa on instagram before Bundle of Cupcakes even had keys to the building they are now in so I was excited to see it in real life even if it didn't amount to anything. Jelisa herself was there, was so kind and welcoming and listened to my rant and gave me some cupcakes to try. I emailed with her about what I wanted, the minimum was totally reasonable and she was able to deliver up to Tahoe even from Sacramento! She ended up arranging little cake tasting jars that were adorable for us to pick up, we had a lovely double date and tasted cake with my cousin. The wedding day came and they were on time, everything was beautiful and delicious, and my guests raved about it. Overall, 5/5 experience. Thank you Jelisa and team! read more

Not only are these cupcakes delicious, they are gorgeous! Almost too pretty to eat, but you can't let a fabulous cupcake go to waste! BEST cupcakes my mom and I ever had. I've had many cupcakes in my lifetime and my mom and I were silent after trying these, we could only continuously say "wow" and hold eye contact nodding in satisfaction. We've officially found our go to spot if we ever want a treat. Disappointed to say the least. I'm fine paying a heavy price if it's worth it. However, these are not worth the price. Beautiful presentation! No flavor, dry dense cupcakes. Icing was fairly hard even after sitting out. Everyone is always excited to get a cupcake and hardly any of my guest ate the whole thing. Someone likened it to cornbread. Not to mention the staff were not friendly when I picked them out. Instagram worthy pictures is about it. read more

Okay, so my fiancé and I booked this class months prior and we were expecting to have a great time, we truly were. So when the day arrived we were met with something that came up in our lives so we were running late, we called and the lady who answered (assistant Rebecca) decided to be very rude and disgusting immediately into the phone call like we were public enemy #1 or something, my god professionalism and customer service no where to be found. So we send emails and we tried reaching out to whoever owns this place and we were just met with the run around constantly. The so called assistant manager told us we could come late to the class, but couldn't partake in anything and pretty much she said "there's no point in coming 20 min late" to a hour and half session? So anyways, I would avoid this place at all cost. When my fiancé showed up to grab the cupcakes we purchased after the thing was over, the lady, jalissa had a complete attitude. These people are a mess. AVOID. read more

For instance, I wanted a very muted, sage green chocolate on my cake pops and golden sprinkles and BHoS was able to accommodate, no questions asked; and this was just for one item. She's able to give you any color frosting, sprinkles, designs... let your imagination go crazy! Not only were my little desserts BEAUTIFULLY made, they were delicious and a hit at the wedding. We ran out of desserts because people kept coming back for more! BHoS was amazingly affordable for the intricate quality of the desserts and I'm assuming it was Bella I was communicating with, but she was just so friendly to communicate with. We started with their signature cocktail, gin and tonic with their homemade tonic and a martini. Hey-ooo! Dang that was a good drink. And efficient ;) We moved onto the heirloom tomato starter. Here is where I realized it started to get a little difficult. I was trying to look polished and refined, and really, you could've licked the plate. My handsome man is a vegetarian so he got the Barada spaghetti. I'm assuming he liked it because he ate every last bite. That, and he told me it was delicious. I ordered the lobster risotto. The crisp coating practically melted before giving way to a light crunch, and the hot sauce added just the right amount of subtle heat. Wushiland Boba is my new favorite spot for boba in Sac!…read more I found out about it from a recent Feed Mei Mei YouTube video, and of course I had to check it out asap. I looked up the origin and it turns out Wushiland is a spin off from the Taiwanese boba chain 50嵐 (if you speak mandarin, it says Wushi Lan). Located on Sutterville in a tiny strip mall with minimal parking right next to the Freeport area where there are plenty of good eats, some of which are my favorite places in Sac to eat at, Wushiland is in an optimal location. Bright, clean, and with a decent amount of seating, you have the option to order from kiosks or up front at the counter. The AC was blowing cold and a nice respite from the El Niño heat. The workers are friendly and drinks are made quickly. Be advised that the drinks are voluminous, especially if you're like me and ask for less ice. Coming from someone who considers Chicha San Chen their favorite Taiwanese tea chain (but alas we don't have it in Sac), the difference in quantity is huge. Obviously if you're looking for a refined style of tea chain, Wushiland doesn't compare, but still the taste of their teas shine through and there is a good variety for everyone's palate. The first time I tried their earl grey tea because I have been craving an earl grey for a while, and that was deliciously smooth. The mini boba were so fun to chew on, and I usually prefer them over the regular size. They provide a ton of boba here as well. The next time I had their yakult green tea and that was very refreshing indeed. Both times my husband went with fruit teas, and had nice remarks to say about both of his drinks. He also tried their new QQubes and their texture was very QQ (I had a sample). We will most certainly return to Wushiland, especially since it's so accessible. Also tried the brown sugar roasted oolong milk tea at 50% sweetness and with coconut jelly. The oolong flavor is nice and strong and the sweetness was perfect. Next time I'll try the early gray milk tea with the new qqube (mochi) topping. I just have to be feeling brave enough for the crowds here first.
