My sister got cupcakes for my parents from Sweet Haven Bakery. The flavors were all phenomenal. However, the standouts were the coffee cupcake and blueberry cupcake. My Mom remarked the coffee cupcake had exceptional and balanced coffee flavor. My personal favorite was the blueberry cupcake because the blueberry frosting was scrumptious. We finally made it here! My wife was pretty happy bc the first time he had GF items. He had the GF chocolate chip cookie & a raspberry bar which both were the bomb. The one that helped us was the father of the baker. He was awesome! We returned the second time but my wife was bummed bc there were no GF items available at all. She still purchased the carrot cake cupcake & Smores cupcake as well. They were amazing she said. We were sad to hear Haven had hurt his shoulder so he wasn't in optimal working status. Maybe next time we need to call ahead but not sure if they answer their phones? Maybe check IG & message Haven? The business is on Sunrise Boulevard but only opened Wednesday through Saturday with certain hours. His shop is cute & bright & is shared with an area if you want coffee or a drink with your dessert. We hadn't tried that area yet but it looks delicious! No visible restrooms were around though but parking was very convenient up front. Now that's a plus! I like how many different options and flavors there were for their cakes, brownies, and cookies. She was super nice and let me pick out what kind of cut I wanted for my brownies (center or corners). I spent $41 on a set of 4 cupcakes, 1 brownie, 1 blondie, and 1 pack of 2 cookies. The cookies, brownie, & blondie were my fave parts. My work doordashed this bakery and it was my first time trying it out. They mainly sell cupcakes but I got the churro cookie sandwich and the lemon blondie. The churro cookie sandwich was soooo good. It was two snickerdoodle cookies covered in cinnamon and sugar with the churro flavored cream in the middle. It was quite a large sandwich so I would say the price was worth it. It's definitely too heavy to have in one sitting but I would get it again if we order from here in the future. The lemon blondie was also very big and was more on the sweeter side than the tart side which is not my preference but my other coworkers liked it. When I walked in and even complimented how nice it looked inside, I was met with silence. While browsing the menu, there was no greeting or acknowledgment, which made things awkward. After I placed my order, the screen was simply turned toward me, my item was retrieved, and the cupcake was handed over without a single word. The carrot cake cupcake's flavor was good, though it was slightly underbaked in the middle. Unfortunately, the lack of basic courtesy overshadowed that. My friend and I stopped by as she's raved about Sweet Haven for quite a while. She mentioned that we should stop by while we were out and I agreed. When we walked in I thought the inside is absolutely cute all pink with pink balloons. I love pink so it was a great touch. I looked at the variety of cupcakes and they all looked delicious and well decorated. I was torn between getting the biscoff cupcake and the Dirty chai cupcake. Keep in mind all the cupcakes are vegan. I decided on the dirty chai cupcake. I think the cupcakes at $7 each is a little steep for the size of the cupcake. The cupcake itself was okay it wasn't bad but I have bad better vegan cupcakes. The vegan buttercream was overwhelmingly too sweet that it took away from the flavor of the cake herself as well as the cupcake is very dense but not hard. The customer service I will say is top notch some of the best I have received when it comes to food questions and concerns. I can appreciate this kind of quality customer service. I rate them overall at the moment 3.5 starts but I do plan on trying other cupcake flavors especially the Biscoff I hopefully this isn't a seasonal flavor. If you're looking for a place to grab a treat or have cater an event, this is the spot! I stopped by here to try out their sweets on a hunt for a place to have my wedding cake and additional desserts from. It was a one and done. We tried their cupcakes and cookie sandwiches and that was it for us. We didn't even go to other bakeries. We asked if they could make enough cupcakes and other treats in a month for our wedding and they did. The cake we got was so so good and all the treats were a hit with the guests. We got the almond raspberry cake, a few different cookie sandwiches, and a few different bars. The Oreo cupcakes and cranberry bliss bars were the crowd favorite. Move over Pushkins, because the teenage baking phenom known as Hayvy Bayky is creating vegan baked goods that are next level! If you think I'm exaggerating, then take a bite of his infamous carrot cake and see if you don't agree. How his sweet treats haven't made it in to the Sacramento Natural Foods Co-Op yet is baffling, but hey at least you can get some of his baked awesomeness at the Temple Coffee on K St if you go early enough (they sell out quickly). I first learned of Haven's treats at last year's Sacramento Vegan Chef Challenge during a pop-up event. I watched as people swarmed his booth and then pounced on a pumpkin cream cheese cookie sandwich before they sold out. So much yum! This is THE most adorable and delectable local bakery shop. The baker has been baking since he was 14 and with my various visits... have met his mom and dad. They have every right to be incredibly proud-this young man is beyond talented! Everything is seasonal, plus the original favorites (chocolate chip cookies, etc.). We were looking for a bakery to make white cake cupcakes without egg yolks for a celebration of life for our dear friend Cynthia. We were looking for a bakery in Citrus Heights and found this one on Yelp. As soon as we went in we were greeted by a friendly gentleman, who told us is the father of the baker. We had a nice talk with him and his wife. We ended up buying four cupcakes (carrot, almond/raspberry, chocolate, cocoa) and a chocolate cake. We took the cake to a friend's house...everyone loved it! Lucia took care of us, even allowed me to charge my phone. The ambiance was nice, relaxing with low level of music playing. Which is good for conversation. The coffee was fresh, & piping hot. My daughter and I were waiting for her sister to get her hair completed at Ulta and we happened to stumble on this cute shop. It's hidden in the corner across from that butterfly mural. The bottom line is you are offensive. Let the kid handle his customer service and things with go better! Update: That was not your response.
