I really can't say enough good things about Sweet Haven Bakery. Haven really came through for me and my friend Karen. We were looking for a bakery to make white cake cupcakes without egg yolks for a celebration of life for our dear friend Cynthia. I called several bakeries in the Fair Oaks/Citrus Heights/Carmichael area and was told "we don't do that". I was very discouraged. I called Sweet Haven and the out going message said text or email. I emailed. Haven answered right away! He could make the cupcakes Cynthia requested! Hallelujah! Haven did not disappoint. We had 7 dozen cupcakes and they were delicious! And none left over. Four stars for the variety and the customer service. The employee was very nice and explained how she is the owner's mom and how he started the business as a young teen. I like how many different options and flavors there were for their cakes, brownies, and cookies. She was super nice and let me pick out what kind of cut I wanted for my brownies (center or corners). I spent $41 on a set of 4 cupcakes, 1 brownie, 1 blondie, and 1 pack of 2 cookies. The cookies, brownie, & blondie were my fave parts. The cupcakes were a bit too dense/thick for me & just didn't really taste like the flavors I picked. But I enjoyed the unique flavors they had for the brownies and blondies. My work doordashed this bakery and it was my first time trying it out. They mainly sell cupcakes but I got the churro cookie sandwich and the lemon blondie. The churro cookie sandwich was soooo good. It was two snickerdoodle cookies covered in cinnamon and sugar with the churro flavored cream in the middle. It was quite a large sandwich so I would say the price was worth it. It's definitely too heavy to have in one sitting but I would get it again if we order from here in the future. The lemon blondie was also very big and was more on the sweeter side than the tart side which is not my preference but my other coworkers liked it. When I walked in and even complimented how nice it looked inside, I was met with silence. While browsing the menu, there was no greeting or acknowledgment, which made things awkward. After I placed my order, the screen was simply turned toward me, my item was retrieved, and the cupcake was handed over without a single word. The carrot cake cupcake's flavor was good, though it was slightly underbaked in the middle. Unfortunately, the lack of basic courtesy overshadowed that. My friend and I stopped by as she's raved about Sweet Haven for quite a while. She mentioned that we should stop by while we were out and I agreed. When we walked in I thought the inside is absolutely cute all pink with pink balloons. I love pink so it was a great touch. I looked at the variety of cupcakes and they all looked delicious and well decorated. I was torn between getting the biscoff cupcake and the Dirty chai cupcake. Keep in mind all the cupcakes are vegan. I decided on the dirty chai cupcake. I think the cupcakes at $7 each is a little steep for the size of the cupcake. The cupcake itself was okay it wasn't bad but I have bad better vegan cupcakes. The vegan buttercream was overwhelmingly too sweet that it took away from the flavor of the cake herself as well as the cupcake is very dense but not hard. The customer service I will say is top notch some of the best I have received when it comes to food questions and concerns. I can appreciate this kind of quality customer service. I rate them overall at the moment 3.5 starts but I do plan on trying other cupcake flavors especially the Biscoff I hopefully this isn't a seasonal flavor. We were looking for a bakery in Citrus Heights and found this one on Yelp. As soon as we went in we were greeted by a friendly gentleman, who told us is the father of the baker. We had a nice talk with him and his wife. We ended up buying four cupcakes (carrot, almond/raspberry, chocolate, cocoa) and a chocolate cake. We took the cake to a friend's house...everyone loved it! And the cupcakes for ourselves. They were delicious . We would definitely go back to try their other flavors. They also offer coffee, and have to cute sitting areas inside and one outside. read more

This is THE most adorable and delectable local bakery shop. The baker has been baking since he was 14 and with my various visits... have met his mom and dad. They have every right to be incredibly proud-this young man is beyond talented! Everything is seasonal, plus the original favorites (chocolate chip cookies, etc.). Move over Pushkins, because the teenage baking phenom known as Hayvy Bayky is creating vegan baked goods that are next level! If you think I'm exaggerating, then take a bite of his infamous carrot cake and see if you don't agree. How his sweet treats haven't made it in to the Sacramento Natural Foods Co-Op yet is baffling, but hey at least you can get some of his baked awesomeness at the Temple Coffee on K St if you go early enough (they sell out quickly). I first learned of Haven's treats at last year's Sacramento Vegan Chef Challenge during a pop-up event. I watched as people swarmed his booth and then pounced on a pumpkin cream cheese cookie sandwich before they sold out. So much yum! We stopped here this afternoon for a coffee & cupcakes. Such a delight, the Lemonade cup cake was my favorite. Have yet to try the Strawberry lemonade one I purchased for my husband. My daughter and I were waiting for her sister to get her hair completed at Ulta and we happened to stumble on this cute shop. It's hidden in the corner across from that butterfly mural. We went in and purchased a few cupcakes to take with us smores, banana (I think) and strawberry shortcake , which was a big hit for her. Spoke with the man there, he said his son was the baker. WOW !
