Why does nothing Bundt cakes hire employees who work at the cash register and talk to customers who do not like and have not tried what they are selling. Trust me, I absolutely love the cakes from here. The problem I have is if you're going to be successful. You also need to have employees who know a thing or two about what they're actually selling. I even asked how long should I keep the cake out for the best experience? Even I know it should probably sit out for 3 hours or so and these girls looked at each other as if I was absolutely crazy asking that question. Please teach these employees about the product that they are selling and if they don't like a flavor, that's fine. You need to have them engaged and talk about what they actually like that they're selling it. Just flabbergasted me. It's almost as if they're looking at me like why are you here? Please leave. Why are you eating this crap? Just an awful experience by the employees you hire. Please retrain your employees who talk to the customers. I decided to stop by this location and get a lemon raspberry, snickerdoodle, and confetti bundlet. All of the flavors were delicious! My favorite is the confetti. The cakes are so moist and perfect amount of icing on top. The only downside is the price. These bundlets are a little high, but it is sadly the case everywhere now. They have a great variety of flavors to choose from as we had red velvet choc chip, lemon drop, chocolate chocolate chip and another flavor (I may have them named wrong so ask when you go). The icing is smooth perfect cream cheese and really accents the cakes nicely. The cakes themselves are freshly baked, soft, super moist and flavorful. I already think that the Nothing Bundt Cakes are a little pricey, but I noticed on my last visit that the Elmhurst outlet charges an extra 49 cents for the gluten free bundtlet. I called the corporate office and they said it was up to each store if they wanted to charge more. People that need to consume gluten free foods are disappointed that vendors routinely charge more for gluten free products. I realize that they might cost a little more to make, but I think the local Elmhurst outlet should just offset that additional cost with all of the other products they sell. When one sees the annual earnings of an average Nothing Bundt Cakes outlet, they would not only wonder about the additional gluten free charge, but should also question the cost of all of your products. read more

I ordered two of the mini personal cakes, not the bite sized ones, the ones just above it in size. They were about $4 in price. I had two and it cost me $8. Now let's talk price. This place is slightly ridiculous in pricing. However, the taste of their cakes and the texture is amazing. I know, it's a bundt cake, but it's a great cake. The shape is one thing, but the way the cake is made and how it tastes just blows me away. I ordered the Red Velvet and the Marble cake. My red velvet was moist and had the tastiest cream cheese frosting. I bought my mom the marble cake and she loved it. She ate it all and told me to never bring it back because she will continue to gain weight :D. This is awesome and I'm going to visit again. I do wish they were open till 8 pm as opposed to 7. I think all the locations are like this, it makes it hard for me to go and grab some after work if I work late and go visit friends/family in the Elmhurst area. This goes for all the locations. This is one of their newer locations. I have been to several including La Grange, Naperville, and Mt. Prospect. This one is just conveniently located close to our office. My favorite flavor is their strawberries & cream. However, it's only seasonal and sold during the summer for a couple months. I also love their white chocolate raspberry and if you're a chocolate lover, you must get their chocolate chocolate chip. Their prices are more on the pricy side, but once you try, you will understand why. They always have different ones on sample everyday. I love that any location I go to, it tastes the same, the locations decor, and staff are pretty consistent as well. All weekend, I kept telling myself I was going to make a Bundt cake... It must be the Fall air, because I have been craving one of my Bundt's & was in such a *mood* to bake... Well, imagine if you were driving and just happened to be stopped by a red light at the intersection of 83 & St. Charles Rd - only to find in CLEAR SIGHT the words: "Nothing Bundt Cakes"....what would you do? Thought so...and that's PRECISELY what I did. I made a very determined right hand turn & BOLTED into their parking lot....(located were Pier 1 used to be, in same mall w/Pie 5). I have to admit, I had heard about this place opening not to long ago and was sort-of curious.... Around 4:30ish, this bakery was popular....dressed with a whimsical touch & playful feel, it was nicely organized, and display case was FILLED to the RIM with ALL flavors! There were exactly 3-4 girls helping customers and 2 or more in the back area I noticed.... I was INSTANTLY greeted by a very friendly & enthusiastic young girl: "Hello! What can I help you with?" Wowzers....I didn't have to wait at all.. Talk about service! I KNEW I was going to purchase 2 Bundtlets (personal size) $3.99 ea.... I always need variety, it is the spice of life ya know... Perfect serving for one, or sharing for two...Of the flavors offered: Pumpkin Spice, Red Velvet, Carrot, Marble, Pecan Praline, Lemon, Chocolate Chocolate Chip, Cinnamon Swirl, White Chocolate Raspberry (this sounded delicious, btw), AND White White Chocolate.....yikes...I could have picked three! But stuck to my guns....ONLY 2. I went with......Pecan Praline & Chocolate Chocolate Chip. Kill 2 taste buds with one stone. Funny how I didn't end up with Pumpkin afterall.. Honestly, I didn't think I'd like these cakes as much as I did. I certainly didn't imagine them to be so incredibly moist & 'bakery' quality...The buttery, yellow cake with swirled cinnamon & pecan pieces was impressive. The cream cheese frosting had a great, homemade taste. It was definitely sweet, and the cream cheese stood out among the powdered sugariness....but just a tad bit too sweet for my taste..You may really go nuts over this frosting though...(sticky too, you'll want to lick your fingers ). Contrastingly, my bundts are only dusted with powdered sugar, so while I appreciated the frosting - it would have been just as good without...but definitely cream cheesey goodness... The Chocolate Chocolate Chip was 'chocolaty' with a chocolate chip type 'crunch' in every bite...and was just as moist.. Thank you "Nothing Bundt Cake" for relieving me of baking my own while satisfying my desire for "Bundtness".... I can easily see coming back here for a Bundtlet @ $4.00 a pop...but in all honesty, because I KNOW I can easily bake a yummy one too - I can't see justifying $21.00 for an 8", or $31.00 for a 10" UNLESS someone requested one...OR, YOU are not fond of baking, or simply do not have the time.... They will also decorate your cake for any occasion. This is a franchise - and from the attentive, prompt service & friendly manner in which I was treated today..(in addition to the yummy & fresh cakes) I will say the Proprietors' here are doing a fabulous job so far...They use all fresh ingredients and even offer Bundtinis! Pretty darn good. That's the short version. The slightly longer version based on one visit with more planned for the future sounds like this... I was in the area sitting at the light at the corner of St Charles Road and Route 83 when I saw the sign for Nothing Bundt Cakes. I had a minute and I wanted to pop in to see what they had to offer. After easily finding a nearby parking spot, I stepped inside and was immediately greeted near the door by a joyful employee. Turns out that she's here training from Kentucky where a new location is slated to open. She's was a gem! I tasted a bite of the red velvet cake in the shop that was more Hallmark-esque (think gift side, not card side). It was light and fluffy and perfectly fresh. I think I should have ordered an individual sized bundt cake for about $4. Or maybe even two of them. But I decided on the dozen bundtinis for $20ish to bring to the office to share. There were four flavors already in the box - red velvet, chocolate, lemon and white chocolate raspberry. I probably should have asked more questions before I gave my final answer, but I didn't. The transaction was quickly and virtually painless. Upon arrival at the office, I found that they were nearly packed in the box and the only way I could have messed that up was if I would have dropped the entire box - which I did not - high five! I've now had a bite of all four flavors. The lemon flavor took over the rest of the bundtinis. We are them within hours, but it's a strong flavor and it made its presence known. I will easily order from them or stop in again, but I will be more thoughtful when choosing my order. Strong flavors shouldn't be packed together. So many events and birthdays could've had these cakes had I known how delicious they were. Each and every time I walk in, the employees are so pleasant and genuine. They walk out from behind the register and welcome you in as if they were welcoming you in their house - so sweet. They're really helpful in terms of explaining what size cakes they have and the variety of flavors they offer. My favorite is their frosting *heart eye emoji x100*. Sooooo creamy and compliments the perfectly baked bundt cakes so well. I usually get the dozen bundtinis so that I could try a little of everything. Favorite flavors are white chocolate raspberry and pumpkin spice ! Another awesome thing they do is offer samples. Right when you walk in, to your left, there is a sample to try. I grabbed the following bundlets (the 1-2 person sized cakes): carrot cake, white chocolate raspberry, chocolate and marble. I had a few bites of each except for the carrot cake (not my thing) and my two faves were definitely the white chocolate raspberry and the chocolate. SO delicious. Not even a touch dry and plenty of cream cheese icing to go around. Cream cheese frosting is the superior frosting IMO. The shop itself is adorable and fully stocked with many accoutrements for a celebration, big or small. Cards, candles, little gifties, and of course, lots 'o cake. The staff was very sweet and they also were sampling the chocolate bundt cake which was very much appreciated by my 4 year old. And me. Nothing Bundt Cakes is one of our favorite bakeries and I understand that things have changed amidst COVID. We recently stopped into this location where a sign is posted that no more than four customers may be inside the store at a time. There were three of us and we could see two customers inside. As we looked through the glass door and saw one customer headed toward the exit, we held the door for her and walked inside. Imagine our surprise when one of the employees came running, saying we needed to leave. As she was speaking, we came fully into the store (making four patrons inside because the one customer had left.) "You should not have stepped in!" She said. "I must ask you to wait outside." "But we were holding the door for the woman leaving and there are only four of us inside," I nicely said. Her response: "It's a matter of principle. Go outside."
