I went here to purchase a cake for a special occasion, I had never been to a Nothing Bundt Cakes location so I wasn't sure what I wanted or which cake to get. When I reached the counter I let the rep know it was my first time and I wasn't really sure what to get. She sat there as I looked over the menu, I felt a bit rushed because their was someone behind me in the line, so I quickly ordered a lemon cake. The customer behind me let me know I made a good choice. The cake came out from the back really fast, it took maybe 2-3 minutes. Overall I had an ok experience with everything that's going on in the world. I'm sure if the world was 'normal' my experience may have been better but I would more than likely return. I have been reading many good reviews about this place. I Love Me some good sweet yummy delicious cupcakes or cakes. I had to come try these babies out for myself. I stopped in on Sunday to see what the big fuss was about this particular bakery. There are so many around Chicago and the burbs areas that they all kind of blend in the same way. Well I guess I was a bit wrong once I stepped inside this location. It was decorated really nice and had a warm feeling. They had samples of the confetti lil mini's to taste. I think this is one of their new flavor burnt cakes. I also sample the red velvet. I'm not a big fan of Red Velvet anything. But let me tell you one bite into this moist little cake had me at a yum. It was super moist inside and full of delicious flavor. Not only are the tasty treats yummy and moist. The staff is super nice patient and calm even when it started to get a full house. The assistant Manager Chayo is just as sweet as the cakes. Her smile and warm attitude is so amazing. Joanna also has a very pleasant personality. What a wonderful experience. From calling the store in advance to ask questions, through picking up a birthday gift, everything was perfect. Lots of places now consider an actual phone call to be archaic or annoying. When I called here to get some ideas and prices on special ideas for my partners birthday, the woman that answered the phone was so friendly and informative. From that simple two-minute call I had almost everything figured out. Arriving at the location can be tricky as this place is on the busy SW corner of Ogden and LaGrange road. It shares a parking lot with Walgreen's and Chipotle. While parking can be quite full on weekday evening rush hours and on weekends, I've always gotten a spot on my first try. The store is about 400 sq ft of customer space and pretty but very simple. It's simple so as not to be overloading or confusing. Just the refrigerated cake case, sample wrapped cakes and add-ons like bows and balloons, and a small unit of decorative glass plates and seasonal trinkets. The store employee who assisted me in picking out my gift cake and add-ons was so helpful. She had me try a sample of the cake of the day which was White Chocolate Raspberry. It was awesome and although not something I'd have gone with with no taste, it was rich and full of flavor throughout, and the was the gift cake I ordered. So simple. While some reviewers have posted that some cakes aren't available in certain sizes, this is a bit false. Every cake can be ordered in Every flavor. They just don't always have them in stock. And orders for non-stock flavors or sizes only need to be made 24 hours in advance. Just plan a bit ahead and you've got full choices. My order of cakes (a main cake and plenty of small ones in a variety of flavors) and its festive birthday packaging of bows and balloons was ready upon arrival and was the hit of our birthday gathering. I've been meaning to try this place since my mom raved about them after a friend brought some to share at book club. The stars finally aligned and I stopped by to pick up two individually packaged smaller Bundt cakes. The staff were very friendly, the storefront was very clean, well-organized, and visually appealing. There were also samples of the lemon, which is one of the most popular flavors, I was told. It was SO GOOD that I immediately decided to get the lemon Bundt cake. I also got the chocolate chocolate chip. They cost $4 each, which I thought was a very appropriate price. I got to try both of them later that day and they were really delicious. My impression of Bundt cakes has always been that they're rather dry without much flavor, but Nothing Bundt Cakes put every other Bundt cake I've ever had to shame (and completely dispelled my preconceived notions). The lemon is so light, sweet, and moist. The chocolate is very rich with the perfect chocolate chip to Bundt cake ratio. I thought there weren't any in the western suburbs, but I stumbled upon this location after dining at Kama Indian Bistro. I was excited to try it, as the Strawberry Cake (I believe) which was served at the bridal shower tasted pretty good. I ordered the new Lemon-Raspberry Miniature Bundt Cake and wanted to share it with my daughter. I was very disappointed, to say the least. I understand fresh ingredients are always possible, but whatever ingredient used for raspberries had an artificial taste. Also, I was expecting the lemon to have more zing. All in all, it wasn't a bad cake, just a not-so-good flavor, IMO. Also, my daughter and I wanted to on a nearby bench and split the dessert. The retailer offers no carry-out utensils or napkins. I understand the establishment does not offer a dine-in area, but not everyone is going home. I wanted a dessert I could enjoy on the fly. Please consider offering utensils and/or napkins. They offer several flavors, including red velvet, white chocolate raspberry, etc. I chose lemon, and it was delightful-not to sweet, not too tart, very moist and flavorful! Stripes of cream cheese icing complement the cake. Yum! The prices are not cheap, but not unreasonable, either. You can get a decorated version for additional $$. Service was prompt. The young lady that took my order took my cake to the back to box it up. Cool. But she never asked me if I wanted it decorated. So when she came out with my cake, I asked if I could buy a bow. She said, can you step aside, cuz there's a line going out the door. One, it's not my fault there's a line. There were 4 other ppl there when I arrived. 2. She never asked if I wanted it decorated. 3. I understand there's a line, you are busy. She could have sold me the $10 bow. Which I was willing to pay for! And I could have put it on the cake myself. I'm not a huge bakery buff, but when my mom said she got a bundtlet that she wanted to share, I was IN!!! They say the bundlets feed 1-2, but my mom chose to split it 3 ways. I got a decent sized sample of a white chocolate raspberry cake and holy WOW was it amazeballs!!! The frosting was a cream cheese raspberry blend, not too 'cheesy' though, which some frostings can be. It was sweeter and perfect! My mom said she was able to try a sample of a cake before she bought too, which is a nice feature before committing. The cake itself, my mom picked up a few days ago and kept in the freezer for us. WOW - this place is absolutely delicious and adorable! I love the concept and the product they produce. I stopped in the day before v-day to pick up a few treats for friends. First off, the customer service is stellar. The girls working were so friendly! The place was pretty busy. They had a great selection of bundt cakes in the case, but also had tons of them pre-wrapped for v-day. There was an upcharge for the pre-wrapped/decorated bags, but so worth it, as they were too cute! Note - they also had a gluten free bundt, which is awesome!
