Fabulous place. We stopped in very close to closing time and the woman working couldn't have been sweeter. I'm sure she had a lot of stuff to do to close the shop but she took her time explaining what they had available as well as instructions for re-heating. We took home two mini pies (the chocolate chess was exceptionally good) plus two slices of chicken pot pie that we froze and ate about a week later. Even out of the freezer, the crust was flaky and buttery. As if the wonderful pie and service wasn't enough, this place has wonderful values. I got a slice of the apple crumble pie and it was really good! I couldn't finish it in one sitting, but the crumble and crust stayed crisp overnight in the fridge. During my first visit I purchased an Apple Pie. I normally am not a fan of Apple Pie but it was delicious. The pie was extremely fresh and a nice size. The crust was just flaky enough but still soft once you bite into it. I was highly impressed with the freshness and got rave reviews from people in my household. The chocolate chess pie is amazing. Crust was very flaky and pie had a dark chocolate flavor.

If you have been looking for a light-buttery-flaky pie crust, filled with fresh fruit and veggies, then this is it. Truly the butter can be smelled in the crust, that when it is bitten into is crispy like biting through a croissant. The vegetables and chunks of chicken were plentiful and a wonderful broth in the chicken pot pie. The signature apple pie is chocked full of chunks of apples and the perfect amount of cinnamon. A little side note, the boxes are sturdy and don't have to worry about carrying more than one pie. read more

This is a great pie shop with a great mission. I love the inclusive work environment that they create. I picked up a Chocolate Chess pie for a friend's birthday last week. It was delicious. It looked so good that our friend dug into the pie before we even ate dinner! I'm excited for the Brown Sugar Pecan pie that we're ordering for Thanksgiving. The pie we bought was definitely excellent and homemade as if you made it yourself. You need to keep it on your counter but refrigerate if you're gonna eat it for another day or so. The crusts were tasty, and flaky, fillings are flavorful. They sell whole pies, slices and minis. Which I suggest to get if you can't make up your mind. If you're in the neighborhood stop in!!! Someone gifted me a gift card as a welcome to the neighborhood. Specialty homemade pies freshly made right inside the shop. When entering the shop you can see the kitchen in the back. Friendly customer service. Each week the shop features three new pies. Apple pie is always on the menu along with other specialty seasonings flavors. So disappointed, for thanksgiving we ordered their pie flight. It was supposed to be three small (I believe 7") pies, Pumpkin, checkered (chocolate), and apple crumble. Not only were they super small in diameter they were also much more shallow than a regular pie. All three were way too sweet, the checkered was like a brownie on a pie crust, the apple crumble was not a crumble but had tons of oats and very little apple filling. So not worth the $45+ tax Also purchased a full size pumpkin pie and the crust was under cooked and way too thin from underneath. read more

The staff all kinds of people who have developmental or intellectual delays, and their mission of teaching them all the skills and employing them is really wonderful. But the inside of the restaurant is a cluttered mess.Service can be very spotty as the owner runs to and from the baking area. I thought these pies were very average and tasted similar to what you could get at a grocery store. The pumpkin pie had such subtle flavoring it almost tasted like nothing. The apple pie was more like pieces of apple with granola as it fell apart immediately and didn't hold together the way you would like a pie to. Instead I was eating all the pieces separately rather than getting some of the filling with the pie crust and the toppings. BEST fruit pie I've had since I was a kid! We had the Blueberry Crumble and the Apple Crumble. Really fresh fruit, crust perfectly cooked, even on the bottom (which is often not the case in other places.) The spice is subtle so it just set off the fruit but didn't dominate, and the homemade granola on top was so rich & delicious I wanted it for breakfast. I had heard a lot of good things about this place, so I decided to make a point of it to check it out. I'm a big Key Lime pie fan, so that was on my bucket list to try. Figured I'd see what else looked good and buy a few pieces to take home. Unfortunately there was no Key Lime that day - the key limes weren't available and was told to check back in a couple weeks. I can appreciate that, no problemo. So what to have... A glance at the options resulted in three slice purchases. * Apple. I figure if the place is named after it, it should be good. And it was a good piece of apple pie, but I've had better. * Chocolate chess. It was explained that this is a brownie-like pie, I like brownies, so I gave it a shot. Loved it - lots of chocolate flavor. * French Silk. I got this in part because French Silk pie sounds soooo good, yet more often than not, the ones I have tried over the years fall short of expectations. Not this one. Can you say, "ridiculous"??? Taste bud nirvana. Worthy of its own fireworks display. Parisians and caterpillars stand tall!!! A couple of general thoughts. First, these are not big slices. Maybe half the size of what you'd get at Bakers Square and I'm talking "height", not portion width. That's the only comparison to BS that I'll make here - they're not in the same ballpark by any means. Next, the crust is thin, but kind of mega-tasty and crispy. I was able to eat all but the apple pie by picking it up, rather than with a fork. Finally, at $5 per slice, I probably won't be buying the apple pie much anymore, but I'll be an investor in the French Silk. I'm happy to pay a price for something that truly exceeds expectations. I'll be back. Hopefully for the Key Lime pie. read more
