The Sarasota Nothing Bundt Cakes was the worst experience I've ever had. For reference, I have ordered 20 or more cakes throughout stores in the United States. After a number of delivery problems I reached out to the store and spoke with Heather. To say the least, she was extraordinarily rude. Not once or twice, many times throughout our conversation. We called to resolve what began as a minor issue. However, it became a much larger issue due to Heather's horrific behavior. There are too many examples to list - her conduct was nasty and uncalled for. For anyone considering ordering from this location DON'T. Located in a plaza off of Fruitville Road. We had lunch at 5 guys with my granddaughter and she wanted to try one of these for dessert. You go to the counter and choose your Bundt cake. They have individual and large cake size portions . I didn't think they were worth the money and were nothing special or that good for the price. The counter girl was very helpful and courteous. First time ordering the assorted Bundtinis . My husband drove 40 minutes each way to pick these up on a Saturday, Only to open them and find seven of them smashed out of the 12 in the order. I called immediately. A very nice girl answered and apologized. She said that she would have a manager call me back and be sure to refund my money. She also offered a complementary 12 . By Wednesday still never heard anything never received my $30 refund. Called and spoke with a manager named Amy who had no idea what was happening. Seemed very disinterested in the details and told me my refund was processed yesterday and I should see it in the next couple days. I will never return. So delicious! We got the custom bundtinis and oh my goodness... it's hard to have just one. The only reason this isn't 5-star is because I wanted to have frosting removed on 4 of them due to one person's dairy allergy, and there wasn't a way to request that when ordering online - it was frosting on all, or frosting on none. When I called the store they said they couldn't leave it off only some, so we had to skip frosting on all. But honestly, even without it, they were fabulous. read more

Was sent here to pick up a prepaid order for my family on Christmas Eve and the store was PACKED. Staff was very friendly, attentive, and guided me to where I needed to be (I was clueless--I'd never been here before). It feels warranted that I come on here to praise and applaud the team for doing such an amazing job. Orders were coming out steadily despite the volume and communication was excellent, but the workers looked tired--and understandably so. The customers around me were impatient and fully talking down to (and about) the staff, which I found to be very rude because we had full view of the back room and everyone hustling within. I wish people had the mind to plan ahead instead of waiting until the last second to get something done, then displacing that frustration onto someone who is just doing their job. I have to be honest here. I used to purchase these a lot in Franklin, Tn. My last one of the personal individual ones was a couple years ago in this area, after I moved here. All I want to know is, what happened to them? The price is up and that's understandable, but why must they make them so much smaller and with much less icing? I knew the price before I went into the business, so I just went straight to the counter and asked for my flavor. They bagged it, I paid and as I was walking out, I was telling myself this feels so much lighter and as soon as I opened the bag I was shocked. I would have paid an even bigger price, if they had just left the size alone. I hate when companies up the price and make things smaller or less, when you are used to and expecting the same quality. Please consider raising the price again and going back to the normal size. It feels like a rip off now for $7.00. They are more like cupcakes, not cakes (the individual single ones). read more

On a trip to Sarasota we stopped for lunch and there was Nothing Bundt Cakes next door. If you only do one thing you better be great at it. Unfortunately this establishment falls totally flat. I gave them one star because they had a large variety of bundt flavors and sizes and service was friendly but the bundtlet I got, double chocolate had no flavor- the "icing", which covered the center hole and had strips going down the sides was awful. First thing when I walked in and speak to the girl behind the register I should have known the transaction was by not going to go well. I asked for two dozen bundtinis and the girl asked so many unnecessary questions that she confused herself completely. She obviously was not trained properly. Once I paid I asked for a receipt and she forgot to give it to me. After that debacle I waited for 20 mins before telling the girl that I was going to have to cancel my order due to the long delay in filling my order. She spoke to someone in the back who was blowing up ballon's and they asked my name and what I had ordered. OMG! In the meantime there were 4 additional people who had placed ordered and were also waiting after me. Then two delivery driver came in and said they were given the wrong address for their deliveries. They were also waiting. Then a personal friend of someone in the back came in and started a full on conversation with her friend in front of the customers at the register. I finally got my order after waiting 30 mins. This place needs to be closed down due to improper management and staff. What a nightmare! read more

I bought a medium cake paid $28 and expected something special. I gave the cake to my daughter and her family for dessert yesterday. It was so dry and tasted stale, they threw it away. I called the store on Fruitville Road today expecting that they would make it right for me But they refused to do anything without the actual cake. They had me on hold for the better part of 10 minutes and then they just refused to do anything to correct the issue.
