Awful food and service. Not friendly cold food and just over all bad service from this company

Really?! Zero flavor. Just like how chocolate and vanilla or coffee flavors at Dairy Queen tastes the same, same story here. Settled on mixing chocolate and vanilla with Kit Kat as a mix in. Can't find any trace of the Kit Kat mix in. Maybe they just wave it over it? read more

The Kentucky derby may be delayed until September but an ice cream treat is something you can have right now. If you don't know what's special about Cold Stone, let me explain. They take a scoop of your favorite flavor of ice cream, lay it on a cold stone, and then mix in the ingredients of your choice into the ice cream. Ingredients you can add range from cookies to candy, cakes, fruit and nuts. They have some amazing signature recipes or you can just create your own flavor combination. I had my chocolate fix with a Signature flavor called "chocolate devotion". The ingredients were Chocolate Ice Cream with Chocolate Chips, Brownie and Fudge. Just to top things off, I took it upon myself to go a little crazy and add some Oreos to the mix. This was an outstanding chocolate dessert. We love cold stone, but this had to be the worst experience we've ever had. The service was absolutely horrible and they were extremely rude. Some people left the line after the way the staff behaved. Their prices are too high for their location in a mall. We won't be back. read more

DO NOT GO HERE IF IT IS TOWARDS THE END OF THEIR SHIFT IF AT ALL... my son and I were in line before the lights were turned off and before their closing time of 6 we were in line around 5:55 when we were told they will not serve us because "they were closed and only finished out the people in the line. There was another family behind us who ran up still a few minutes before they advertised to be closed and they refused them as well. I will be going out of my way to not go back there which is sad with how much I enjoy cold stone ice cream ever since a child... If I were you I would give my money to people who actual wanted to be there and out a smile on a child's face instead of selfishly close 5 minutes early and she's everyone away who walks up.... read more

Cold Stone Creamery at University Town Center in Sarasota is a great place to get ice cream and cold treats while shopping. Everything here is delicious and well made. The staff here is very accommodating and makes sure that everything is done right. Good experience coming here. read more

This experience was much better than my last time here. The woman working the counter was very pleasant and attentive. I had a Chocolate Sensation. It was almost chocolate overload. I think the small tables and chairs near the Cold Stone stand were placed there for their customers. That's a good thing as most of their customers order an ice cream creation served in a dish, not a cone. It is more difficult to walk and eat ice cream out of a bowl than a cone. read more

Located down by Dillards After dinner we went to the UTC Mall, my wife to shop and me to hang around while my wife shopped. I'm allowed to wander off and I did, over to the Cold Stone Creamery. Before I arrived I learned from looking at the Yelp app that I could get a free waffle cone or bowl for checking in. A friendly person took my order and after checking with the other person behind the counter there was no problem whatsoever giving me a free waffle bowl. The menu listed about six of eight signature ice cream options, and I believe you could also create your own. I went with a Chocolate Devotion from the menu, chocolate ice cream with chips and a fudge brownie mix-in. I wasn't too impressed with the food. The quality of the Ice cream didn't seem premium. It may be because of the technique of mixing in stuff the ice cream needs to be different than just getting a scoop at your usual ice cream shop. Softer, sure, but it also seemed like the taste and texture of something low price you would find in the grocery freezer. I was also not impressed with my waffle bowl. I never get waffle cones or bowls, I didn't even know there was such a thing as a waffle bowl until tonight. It wasn't crunchy, it wasn't sweet. Is it supposed to be one of those things? Well, I wanted an ice cream as I was leaving the UTC Mall. I asked the server what her favorite flavor was & in a very obnoxious tone informed me that she didn't eat ice cream. Then I asked for a taste of the cheesecake flavor since I was not familiar with it. In the same tone of voice informed me that they weren't giving out samples. THIS LOCATION IS THE BEST!!!! After getting horrible service at a different location, I decided I need to write a review when I do get great service. Not sure if I got lucky here, but I got served by two different woman the two times I've been here and they were AWESOME. They gave me a HUGE serving size with lots of toppings. One lady filled it so much that I couldn't put a lid on it and darn, I had to eat some ice cream before I could put the lid on. First world problems ;) This location has always given me the most bang for my buck, and I hope I didn't get lucky both times I've been here. I'm coming back to only this location for the future cause I love getting lots of yummy ice cream with lots of chunks. Thanks for not being skimpy on your toppings and serving size! read more

The peanut butter ice cream was absolutely delicious! My husband had coffee ice cream mixed with amaretto ice cream which was fantastic! Both of our waffle cone bowls were not very flavorful and a little on the stale side which is the reason for the three star rating. The ice cream itself was a five star rating. read more

Lety and another employee were both helping a family of three in front of us. When our turn came up, only one employee helped. When lety walked up and asked "I can help who's next," my sister gave her the order and she told us that the other employee was helping us and she would take care of the lady behind us. When I told her that her and the other employee helped the family in front and I didn't understand why they couldn't help us, she did not know how to respond and just proceeded to help the lady behind us. I asked for a manager and Lety went back there and 5 minutes later, the manager never came out. Horrible customer service! Training needs to be done both management and service wise. Everyone should be treated the same way. Rules shouldn't change when you see someone that you don't like or are not willing to help. Management should care when a customer asks for 1 minute of their time. read more
