Very excited to get my bunt cakes. They always taste good. I love how they can make them without the icing for me (less sugar). I did have to wait an extended amount of time this time though. Although I have had these cakes before, today was the first time I placed an order myself. The employee on the phone seemed nice enough, but I could tell she was a little unsure of herself. I ordered a dozen of the Bundtini cakes with party hats, and I added flags to each of the cakes, which was an additional charge. At first, the employee was charging me $10 more than she should have, which I questioned, and she corrected the order. I sent my husband to pick up the order a few hours later. From the store, he was dropping them off as a surprise for my sister-in-law's birthday. Fortunately, he sent me a photo of what they looked like before he delivered them. All 12 of the cakes were missing the flags that I paid extra for. He went back inside the store with his receipt and mentioned it to the staff. They did add the flags after checking his receipt. When he came home, I noticed my receipt only had my name listed as the sender. When I placed the order, I asked the employee to include both of our names on the card, again for an extra charge. Kind of embarrassing, since the gift was for his sister, and his name wasn't even listed. I did call the store manager to mention all of this to them, and I was told that they had some new staff on board. They did apologize for the mistake. I think they need to train their staff a little better, especially in taking orders. I know their cakes are delicious, but they definitely need to improve their customer service skills. read more

I went today, not knowing they were closed on Sundays and I believe the owner was walking out. Super cute bundt cake shop. My friend heard of this place and wanted to visit because of the name. I followed her in because of the name. This is a well set up and classy store. Just off to the left when you come in the door there was a sample try of their Strawberries and cream bundt. Such a soft square with an explosion of natural strawberry and perfectly sweet and smooth dollop of icing on the top. Sold. Buying one to take home. The lady behind the counter explained the 3 sizes they offer: standard bundt cake size, a medium, and the bundt cake version of a cupcake. There were around 10 flavors to choose from. She also let us know that if they were out of a flavor it would only take 20 minutes to make the one you are looking for. There were stands in the middle of the store displaying the ways you could fancy up the cakes for holidays, wedding or baby showers, and mother's day. My friend picked lemon and I went with carrot in the medium, so I could share the awesomeness with my family. The shop itself has no tables or chairs, so know this is very much a place to order and go. When you enter, you're delighted by the colorful gifts that are packed into every inch of the store. From mugs to dessert trays to coin purses and accessories, NBC has curated an adorable selection of goods to assemble a cute gift on the fly. They also have a giant "look book" of all their bundt cakes. Whether baby showers or birthday parties, you can customize the cutest little bundt cakes for any special occasion. I loved the ones with ugly sweaters sticking out of them. Now, the bundts themselves. They only sell bundt cakes. That's it. You can order bigger bundt cakes to feed a larger group (and they are adorable) or go for the smaller Bundlettes, which is enough for one person. We ordered two Bundlettes (confetti and lemon) to-go and they were delicious. They were very moist, had great flavor and traveled well. Nothing Bundt Cakes is a clever play on words, but seriously this shop is so much MORE than cakes! I was tickled when I walked in this place. It is more like a boutique cake shoppe without the sky-high prices and stuffy service. We were greeted right away, not only by a friendly face but with samples. I expected the samples to be a little dried out on the edges (ya know, from sitting for a while) but this little morsel of red velvet cake was as luscious as can be. We walked around for a bit to check out all the merchandise. This is a great place to stop if you're on your way to a birthday and need a cake, card and gift. Lots of fun serving platters, holiday décor, cards, drinkware, candles. Then we eyed up the case. They have several different sizes of cakes, including cupcake-sized bundt cakes sold by the dozen. I mean, dessert doesn't get any CUTER than that! We were only looking for cake for 4 people so we went with the Bundlet size. I would estimate it's about 4 inches in diameter, 3 inches tall? We pulled a couple of flavors and ended up with way more cake than we needed. We took home White Chocolate Raspberry, Carrot Cake, and Lemon Cake. Each only cost $4.25 which I thought was more than reasonable. They were packaged up in a nice little plastic clamshell that kept the cake and frosting in tact. When we got them home, they looked as beautiful as the cakes pictured on their website. Now we can finally talk about how delicious and moist these cakes were! (Sorry for all of you who despise that word) The cake was so dense, but not in a gross heavy way. The frosting (which I typically don't like) was awesome. The lemon cake (and maybe all of them) had a white frosting that tasted sort of cream-cheesy? It was amazing. What great flavor, expert baking, and perfect balance. They had a booth at the IX Center Christmas Connection and there was a line of people waiting for a sample. Food booths always get a crowd so my sissy and I waited thinking, "Big whoop. Bundt cake." Then we tried it. It was labeled white raspberry but it was actually lemon. We don't like lemon cake. We loved this one! So friggin' good! The cake was super moist and perfect texture and the frosting was amazing! They ran out of lemon so we got white raspberry and chocolate chocolate chip bundtlets. $5.00 each. Sooo good! The cake was delicious, but the customer service left a lot to be desired. Specifically, there was one employee who was combative during our interactions. I placed an order online for pick-up, and when I went to pick up my cake I was given the wrong flavor cake with the wrong decorations. When I mentioned that my order was incorrect, this particular employee told me that they gave me what I had ordered. When I then showed her that my order confirmation was different from the cake she had given me the employee, in a combative tone, said "well, that's because you ordered a totally different thing." I said, yes, exactly, the cake I was given was a different thing than what I ordered, which is why it couldn't be my order. She then said "give me a minute" and went in the back for a few minutes. After hearing lots of commotion in the back and remarks about how I had shown her my confirmation, she came back with a cake that was more similar to what I had ordered and said "here you go." An acknowledgement of the mix-up would have been nice, but I know that mix-ups happen and I got the sense that this employee was very stressed, so I let it go. When I got home I showed the cake to my partner who mentioned that they put the wrong flower topper on the cake. It wouldn't have been a big deal, but the flower we chose was meant to recall a special memory for my mother-in-law. I called the bakery to see if they had the correct flower in stock and the same person who I spoke with earlier picked up the phone. I mentioned that they put the wrong flower on the cake, and I asked if I could come back up to exchange the flower. The employee said that she was the one that put the flower on the cake and she knows she put the correct flower on it. I pulled up the website so I could describe the difference between the flower I ordered and the flower she placed on the cake. I asked if they had the correct flower in stock and she said "yes," and that I could come pick it up if I wanted. Again, an acknowledgment of the mix-up would have been nice. The silver lining was that when I arrived at the bakery another employee was at the counter. I showed her the flower that had been placed on the cake and she recognized that I had in fact been given the wrong flower. She gave me the correct flower and offered me a small gesture for the trouble, which I greatly appreciated. I am writing this review because if I were managing this location, I would want to know if an employee had an opportunity to improve. There's no reason a customer should have to work so hard to have an employee do what was originally requested. I think if an employee gets it wrong 1) they should acknowledge the inconvenience that it caused the customer, and 2) they should be willing to fix it without the customer needing to make an argument to do the thing at every step of the process. After lots of back and forth and needless frustration, though, the cake looked beautiful and it was certainly delicious. read more

As a new "neighbor" in Strongsville, I received a promotional offer in the mail and decided to give these little treats a try. Cute little shop tucked into one of the newly built strips right near the center of town. The shop offers a variety of bundt cake sizes and flavors (about 8-9 varieties on a regular basis) all topped with their signature frosting which is buttery, creamy and smooth. I chose two style to bring home to my family...red velvet and a chocolate chocolate chip. Their "bundtlets" are sized larger than your typical cupcake and are great for sharing. Their cakes are super-moist and flavorful, and the frosting simply divine! Our favorite was the red velvet, but the super-choco version was solid as well. First time we called we were put on hold for over twenty minutes, next time we called we asked a question about being able to buy certain flavors in the smaller size and the girl on the phone left to ask a question. We were put on hold AGAIN for an extended period of time and never got our question answered. We called again and the woman on the phone was extremely understanding and ended up getting our order in. We purchased their Mother's Day cake. There were so many choices to choose from. We chose strawberry creme. It was DELICIOUS. Very moist and not too sweet. We canny wait to try more of their flavors. We opted for the drizzle instead of their traditional line design. We loved it. Very pretty. Online ordering was easy & pick up a breeze. The entrance is on the back of the building so don't go to the front like we did. My only complaint is the plastic wrap they use to keep the cakes "protected" until consumption smudged a few spots of the frosting. These cakes are really good. My sister talked me into driving to this store and I'm so happy she did. The staff was super nice. They had samples for those of us that have never tasted their product and the line moves quickly even though it was crowded. I noticed many people ordered ahead as I will do in future. It takes a few minutes for them to pull together larger orders (we ordered two dozen minis). The household favorites are red velvet, lemon and chocolate in that order. The dozen minis were $20. I think that's a good price for the deliciousness you receive. Updated review: second visit. They forgot cream on 2 of my bundtinies and they are not fresh after day 1. Suggestions: 1. Call and order ahead if you know what you want. They have a rewards card but if you order online, the system keeps track so you don't have to worry about loosing the card. 2. Seal in a tight container. Mine were super fresh Day 1 but not so much Day 2. I'll update this post next time to see if that was the product or my doing.
