This was a location at the West Side Market. They had lots of baked goods ranging from cakes to macarons to donuts to other pastries. They had a very nice display highlighting what was available. The staff was friendly and patient as we decided what to order. I went with a buckeye (2 for $6). This was big and rather heavy. Overall, it was not bad. It tasted similar to a Reese's, but not as good. I saw the amount of peanut butter that was in this, but surprisingly, I was expecting a little more of a flavor of that when I ate it. Will I go back? Unfortunately I have nothing good to say about this business. The woman waiting on us acted annoyed and impatient at the amount of time we were taking to make our selections, even though there were no other customers at the time. We spent $40 on several items that looked beautiful but tasted awful. It varied from no taste to tasting freezer burnt to being downright inedible and in need of being spit out. Lots of great choices. Located inside the Westside Marketplace in downtown Cleveland, be ready to fill up your basket with lots of good food items. We got the Carrot Cake and cookies for breakfast. Euro Sweets is one of the many vendors that you will find inside Cleveland's West Side Market. Happy that they were still open when we visited that day. The majority of vendors were already closed. They had a huge selection of sweets to choose from in their display cases. There were so many macaron flavors that I'm guessing they specialize in these sweets. I am not a fan of macarons so I chose to try their Pecan Tarts. The pecan tarts were a nice tasty choice. I hope to one day again visit Euro Sweets and their colleagues inside Cleveland's oldest public market. Everything looks delectable. read more

I'm going to start off with the positives. The location in the market is great! Everything looked clean! The employees were very friendly and attentive! I got myself French macarons. So keep in mind that this review is based off of one item... In fact, a very difficult bakery item. So I got five, and they were all bad in one way or another. The actual macaron cookie shells or hard/crispy/crunchy. The filling that goes between the macaron shells was not spread across the whole thing. I'm no expert with macaroons but I do know they are supposed to be crispy outside, chewy inside, and sandwiching buttercream or jelly or something. These were crunchy, hollow on the inside of the macaroon shell, and lacking filling. All things that, in my opinion, make up a bad macaroon. Now that could be because technique, or maybe because they were not fresh. My best guess for this place is a combination of both. I'm giving them two because they really were nice people, and macaroons really are difficult so maybe it was an honest attempt. They were the quality of one star though. read more

I'm reviewing 2 items. The cakes on display are sliced with nice sized pieces. But when you purchase a piece they give you a complete different slice already packaged in a container. It is smaller in size. And it had to be stored for a few days because it was tiramisu and it was actually the worst I ever had, it wasn't sponge anymore it was like gelatin almost and the flavor was right like it sat to long in a fridge. I got the Oreo mousse as well this was my first and it wasn't bad but not fresh though it sat in the fridge a few times. Same with the slices, what was displayed was big sliced cake. Only to receive Small packaged pieces. Overall I wasn't satisfied with my sweet treats at all. The lady that served me seemed like she didn't want to be there just blank with no speaking. But thats fine if you selling quality product and your busy. I was the only customer at that time with about 3 people behind the counter just talking. Bad experience for sure. Will not try them again. I'll give 2 stars because its a business and the potential of what it could be or was as far as I know. Hopefully nobody goes through that experience. read more

I was wandering around the West Side Market with my friend, and Euro Sweet's extensive and colorful macaron display stopped my macaron loving self in its tracks. So many flavors! So many decisions! They're the largest macarons I've seen, and definitely worth the $2 per macaron. Originally I only intended to pick 4 or 5 out to try, but my friend started pointing out flavors, and the very kind and amusing man behind the counter cut us a deal if we bought 12...so we bought 12 macarons! Oh my lanta. When we got home with our sweet bounty after a day of delicious foods, we looked at each other and asked "What have we done? We can't eat all these ourselves!" So a third friend was invited over, and we split each macaron 3 ways, very much enjoying the chance to sample 12 of their delectable flavors. (Can you believe we maybe only sampled half of what they offer?!) I will surely be back to Euro Sweets to try more of their flavors one of these days! This is the first time I have ever bought anything here. I had such a hard time deciding on what to get. Everything looks so good. I decided to get a few different items. One of Cleveland's great spots for European treats. They specialize in macaron's. They have over thirty flavors to choose from. Options like lavender, green tea, pumkin pie to smores. You can't go wrong and they are absolutely delicious. Some if the best we have had o n Cleveland. They also make old world pastries like Russian tea biscuits, bear claws and Kolache. And don't forget the meringue cookies, they are almost as large as a football and they range in a variety of flavors as well. Definitely worth checking out. read more

Delicious macarons! I always go for the pistachio when buying macarons and it was perfect (crunchy shell, soft inside). The regular macarons are $2 and are larger than normal, so it's an awesome deal! Macarons - I am only reviewing the macarons, because that is what I purchased. Without being able to taste, I did a quick Google search for the best macarons in the West End Market and these were rated the best. Very disappointing. They are more like meringues with a little bit of filling. True macarons don't crumble the way these do. They are also overly sweet. And, instead of truly filling them, they just squirt a ring of filling on the outer part so it looks like they are filled and, in fact, they are hollow inside. Not only have I lived in France and recently visited, where I ate true macarons, but I have purchased macarons from local French bakers in the Chicago area which are actually macarons and not these fake, albeit beautiful, sugary meringues. read more

Ordered 2 macarons (lavender and earl grey) and was completely disappointed in both. The earl grey was beyond stale without any of the textures that make a macaron a macaron. It was just crunchy and tasted like it had been in a plastic container for a very long time (it was also dyed black with food coloring, which was not visually appealing). There was no earl grey flavor; just plasticky and sugary. The lavender did not have any lavender flavor and was just sweet. $2 a pop is not a great deal, but it's nearly criminal when the product is lackluster on top of that. If I could give this business 10 stars I would give them 11. Their macaroons are amazing. It is a personal tradition to try a French macaroon at every place I visit that has them available.
