The Chalet is a drift into a NeverLand, with an ancient (antique) huge mixing bowl stationed perfectly outside between a Few Watchful Gargoyles! Above the windows are several Military photos of Army or Marine men sending their "Smiling Thanks" for receiving such delights. This is "Heart Felt" yet everything about this place touches the heart. They have reserved tables, the place is very busy. Signage for fresh Eggs and Local Beef, the Kitchen is open to see the busy workers crafting their delicious art. And on marble under the mirad of plants sit an amazing selection of Gargoyles with their watchful eyes; such Whimsy, a time gone past to remind us of childhood joy and creativeness. Day of babyshower, cupcakes were picked up - box taped shut, our own fault for not checking before leaving. Once we arrived at the venue and opened the box we realized they were not at all what was ordered, incorrect flavors, incorrect designs, overcooked and burnt on the edges. We reached out to the bakery to express our dissatisfaction, she then proceeded to post our conversation on Instagram asking if we were a Karen and praising her own cupcakes. In her posts she contradicts herself several times. She states that she received an inspiration pic and that they did the cupcakes as close as they could, but in another comment she said she didn't know what we wanted and we only gave a verbal description of desert flowers. She also states in her text to us (with the screenshot she posted) that she didn't see the cupcakes before we picked them up because they were taped shut and asked us to send a pic, but then also states 'we all thought they were very pretty'. Which one is it? I am attaching the inspiration pics as well as what we received. Cupcakes were all different sizes, icing was very minimal, designs were not even close, edges were burnt and crusty, none of the guests even touched them, we paid $150 and ended up with zero desserts at the shower. Beware of what you see online for this bakery as given this experience, they will delete anything that does not fit their narrative nor do they take any accountability. Little did I know that they offer more treats including flan cake-like, homemade macaroons, Mexican wedding cookies and other affordable cookies, among their amazing and delicious variety of cakes. The Mexican wedding cookies came in a bag of five, but as you can see in my photo, I ate two on the way from the bakery shop to home. They are so good! Highly recommend this purchase. Service here was great. The ladies behind the counter were very helpful and answered all of my questions. They were very friendly too.
