We had the half nachos and half Mac n squeeze. Both were fairly expensive for the portion. We loved the Mac n squeeze, it was delicious. The nachos on the other hand had strawberry, blue berry, pineapple, and mandarin. Maybe someone else will like fruit and vegan cheese but it wasn't for us. Well well well... I had already been to Nourish twice before at their old location and was very impressed with their food, but the surroundings were rather dingy. I was very excited when I was walking around town and noticed their new location on bear street was opening! Ever since then I had been craving their nachos fiercely! So I went for dinner with some friends to get my hands on some nachos and check out the new place. I must say the new place is absolutely gorgeous! Quirky and classy- a nice cozy feel. When it came to the food I got the classic nachos, and my friends got the curry of the day (potato zucchini) and the falafel. I am sad to say I was disappointed with my nachos! Maybe because it's never the same ingredients, but they seemed really dry and pretty bland. Both the falafel and the curry were amazing though. *Side rant* I KNOW they say all of their dishes are meant for sharing, but if you get one dish (say the half size curry) it\s good for one person. Every time I go there I get such a pretentious vibe from the server as if it's a crime that we aren't sharing, or we get a lot of food! Maybe that's just me.. I really like to eat at vegetarian restaurants but they are usually boring and I get tired of the same thing. WELL this was very different my family and friends loved the Nachos 20+ ingredients strawberries, berries, pineapples. 4 or 5 different kinds of beans and many more it is a must try. So nice to have a vegan/vegetarian option in Banff!! We ordered the nachos with half vegan cheese and half dairy cheese. They used daiya cheese (not usually my favourite, when it comes to vegan cheese) which had a bit of a "freezer burned" taste. I'm assuming it came right out of the freezer and onto the nachos. According to the rest of my group, the dairy half didn't taste freezer burned. The pleasure platter was AMAZING! I would order it again in a heartbeat and eat it all to myself! We also ordered the Mac and Squeeze which was really delicious. A couple of people in my group ordered a specialty cocktail that apparently was "the worst drink ever." There was lots of plugging of the noses to get it down. The beer was great though and I would definitely go back to sample more of the menu. read more

The food is delicious! We attempted to go for dinner, but the line up was too long. The following day we went for lunch. We had nachos(different, but in a wonderful way. Yumm!) Burritos ( was hard to eat with a fork, but tasted great) Panini and leek soup( was not a panini, more like a sandwich, was not the best. The soup was nice, lots of flavour) Goat cheese and spinach quesadilla ( I wasn't a fan- too strong- I don't like a taste of goat cheese, but then again I didn't order it. My husband said he enjoyed it.) I would have given this a 5 because I loved that this veggie place had so much flavour as compared to other veggie restaurants which have dishes that lack flavour and taste like cardboard. The only reason I gave it a four was because they weren't baby friendly. When I asked if they had a highchair. The waitress had to find out. (Wouldn't you know if you had one?) Anyways, as it turned out the manager explained that both his highchairs were stolen:| how does that even happen. Conclusion: not baby friendly, but great food!!!! read more

be very weary vegans. we ordered their nom nom nachos, and were told it had vegan cashew cheeze on it. my vegan fiance and i proceeded to eat it, double checking with the waitress that the cheese, which tasted too good to be true, was vegan. we go there again later that night b because the food is delish, and we get a second opinion, and our suspicions were verified that we had eaten dairy cheese. we were not happy. also, their menu uses the terms "cheese" and "cheeze" inconsistently with whether or not it includes dairy. make sure if you have dietary restrictions that you speak with a manager about what's in your food. and managers, make sure that you audit your menu for these inconsistencies, as well as audit your staff training practices. read more

I had some doubts about coming here as I was skeptical about vegan restaurants. The King Kong noodle blew me away with its unique flavour. It was a perfect balance between sweet and spicy. I like the atmosphere and the concept. Dishes are meant to be shared by 2 people The food was good. We ordered the macaroni and cheese and the mushroom raveoli. Both were savery and flavorful. Both dishes seemed like similiar sauce base. The raveoli was delicious, they had like 6 types of mushrooms in the raveoli. I could have used a few more peices of raveoli but I was pretty impressed. They serve Kamboucha on tap, interesting floats and sodas. Food presentation was good and the prices for the mains seemed pretty reasonable. I was a bit disappointed with the dessert. It was a cashew based vegan lime cheesecake. Sounds great right. Problem was that it was 12 dollars and it was a half of a usual cheesecake slice. I felt it was overpriced. No visa. Overpriced, took forever and not good! My order was supposed to be noodles and peanut sauce. It was basically soup with a few noodles and some veggies. My husband's market salad came out and it was lettuce wraps. My daughter's"Thai" curry tasted more like chilli powder than curry. That's just the food that came out without hair! My beer glass had hair and when we got our cauliflower bites, there was a hair wrapped up in one! After all of that, their compensation was 10% off the bill. We had a late lunch at Nourish Bistro today. Despite the late hour, service was incredibly slow. We waited almost forty five minutes for our food to arrive. We ordered the world famous nachos, jalapeño poppers, hummus, veg kebabs and King Kong noodles. The nachos were disappointing. The hummus and noodles were really good. Everything else was okay. The overall experience could have been infinitely better if the servers would keep guests posted on the status of their food, especially if they expect to take a very long time to get the food out even during non peak hours. read more

Note to the owner, I appreciate the fact that there is a vegan/vegetarian option, but I would work a little more on nachos presentation (i.e. Kale salad) and make the sauce of the noodle bowl less wet.
