This February while in Banff, we decided to try Farm & Fire, and it did not disappoint. I ordered the classic breakfast with a side of fruit. The plate featured two perfectly cooked over-easy eggs, sourdough toast with blackberry jam, crispy potatoes, and the best bacon I've ever tasted. The fruit bowl was just as fresh and vibrant, with oranges, Granny Smith apples, blueberries, strawberries, and blackberries. They even took the time to get me gluten-free bread to eat with the beat hummus since I couldn't eat whatever bread that is served with it For me, it's important that since they already have gluten-free products that they could just substitute it that way so I could enjoy my meal and not get sick I found them to be exceptionally accommodating for me Everything was delicious I like the fire pit outside good place to wait for your table to open I like that they take your cell phone number and you can walk around and they'll text you when your table is ready so this way you don't feel like you're wasting any time My nephew got the duck that was delicious my sister got the steak sirloin. It was also delicious and had little tiny mini salt crystals on it which gave it a lot of flavor. My only slight disappointment was the choice of background music. It had too much of a 12345678 up beat to it. When they play music with this kind of a tempo, you can definitely see all of the waiters and waitresses walking to the beat of the music, but I think it also rushes people in eating and digestion. It makes people hurry up because you could literally see people chewing to the beat of the music I don't even know if the Restaurant realizes the psychology behind the choice of music But overall, I enjoyed everything I came there to eat and everything tasted good for me. A vibrant spot for a New Canadian style meal. Everyone in my party loved the vibe here, and our server was patient and knowledgeable about guiding us through the menu. The specialize in wood-fired dishes, so we made sure to lean into those options. We all sampled an appetizer order of grilled eggplant spears covered in olive oil and a sprinkle of cheese. Delish! My wife and I love wood-fired pizzas, so we went with the rotisseries chicken pie for our main (to share). My friends and I were looking for healthy late lunch spot and stumbled upon this place online. Four out of five of us ordered the winter salad and my fifth friend ordered the wedge salad. Overall the food was very delicious especially considering salads or some times pretty simple plates. I also ordered the butter bread rolls which were amazing, they make there own butter and you can taste the difference! While we were in Banff, we decided to check out Farm and Fire since it was a restaurant that was recommended online by some others. The location is pretty convenient since it's just in the middle of Banff, so it was pretty easy to get to. We decided to make a reservation beforehand as well, so we were able to be seated pretty quickly after we arrived. The interior is quite cozy and nice, which can be a good contrast with the weather outside when it's cold. We decided to get a few items like fish and chips, a brisket pizza, and some ribs. The food here was all great, everything was well-made and I don't think I had complaints with any of them. The fish and chips I enjoyed a lot in particular, especially since the crisp on the fish and fries were well-done. Overall, this is a nice brunch spot that I would recommend in Banff! read more

I ordered a blackberry mule, and it was refreshing and well balanced. This restaurant came highly recommended by a local, so we were excited to give it a try. Unfortunately, our experience started off on the wrong foot. When we walked to the bar and asked if we could order a drink while waiting, the maître d' was curt and came across as rude. He told us the bartender was "overwhelmed" and that we couldn't order a drink, even though there were two empty chairs at the bar. We understood that the restaurant was busy, but the way the situation was handled was unwelcoming. A polite explanation or an alternative suggestion would have made a big difference. Farm & Fire was the first meal I ate in Banff before our tour to Lake Louise and it was memorable. We had no reservation and luckily got seated in about 5 mins. Service was prompt. This place exceeded my expectations in every sense. Why? Considering this is a "tourist" area, it is run like a local customer centric establishment. Price was fair/reasonable and the food/coffee, top notch, worthy of so called Michelin Star restaurants inside fancy hotels. This was our last day in Banff, and we came to town to get some lunch. It was raining outside, so we didn't spend a lot of time searching for a lunch spot. The bus dropped us right outside of the Farm Fire, so we checked it out. It's inside/adjacent to the Elm + Avenue Hotel. Lot of big windows and a spacious dining area. We put our name on a list, but only had to wait 15 minutes. It was late morning and the dining room was already full. We had a group of 4. Got settled in right away with waters, and menus. After putting in for our beverages we were able to order right away. Our service was a friendly young man, and did a very nice job of taking care of us. I ordered the avocado toast with poached eggs and some braised bison. My partner got the burger. We also ordered a side of the roasted chicken. For being so busy, it didn't take that long to get our food. Everything was hot, and good portions. My avocado toast was just okay. I expected the bison meat to be more flavorful. The roasted chicken was amazingly good, and very moist. The smashburger was also a hit. Nice place for a lunch. They got really busy after we were seated so I highly recommend making a reservation if you can. We ordered a few dishes to share: the Fig and Brie pizza, Duck Duo, and Barley Risotto.
