It was time for my follow up appointment. So, I pulled into the parking lot and I was like, OMG!…read moreAre they still here or did they move? The office is so small you could miss it. Lol. I found this Dentist because, they accept Groupon! Groupon is a website where you can get almost anything for a really good price. If they didn't accept groupon. I probably, wouldn't come here. Front desk was busy multitasking. I was pleased the Front Desk was ready to help w my group on. I had know problems scanning it. She was also very patient about it. It would be nice if, they had handsanitizer available and pens were disinfected prior to use. They also need to get a new clip board. It obviously had some wear and tear. The lobby was nice and clean with shiny floors. Magazines were unavailable as a precaution against Covid. There's also tape marked on the floor so you can practice social distancing. Hygienst was a little rough but, did a thorough cleaning. I could feel the difference. She really new what she was doing. There were times, when she was good at having the suction device ready and there were times when I had to ask for suction. She was also not afraid to give direction. She was very detail oriented. She didn't miss anything from the inside of mouth to my jaw! My teeth were polished but, I feel like the most obvious places were missed. However, my teeth still had a nice luster. Dental Assistant was very nice and easy to get along with. She explained how the process works. The x Ray's were a little painful and uncomfortable. Even though the panoramic digital x-ray was the smallest I've seen. The Dentist was friendly, outgoing and humorous. He was a shorty. He was a short Asian male with a nice haircut and glasses. He was personable and very informative. Let's sum up what I learned. This office is small and clean. It's hidden with a great staff staff in place. They accept groupon and are doing their best to adhere to Covid policies.

Honestly would not recommend this dental office. The first thing I noticed that tipped me off is…read morethat it was dirty, and chairs were worn out. That would have been ok except when I got into my exam room, the exam light above me was full of spit stains and was overall stained and dirty. What pushed me over the edge is that this dentist decided to have my tooth pulled after less than 5 min of looking at my teeth. He advised me to tell him if it hurt, I advised him that I did, he applied more numbing but it still hurt. He let me know that it shouldn't hurt and continued to pull my tooth since he "had a good grip on it". While I was crying from the pain he essentially told me to be quiet since he had other kids in the office. Btw the exam rooms are open and you can hear and pretty much see other exam rooms. He was working on me and other patients at the same time and very quickly which worried me and didn't seem hygienic. He was going back and forth between patients. Seemed too overbooked to spend quality time assessing me. He also barely communicated with me and more so communicated with his staff who then communicated with me. His staff was nice but I couldn't get over the terrible experience I had. On top of that my new dentist asked if I could get exam notes from him and he refused to provide those. I got a second opinion and they said that the tooth could have been saved and didn't need to be pulled. Over all horrified with this dental experience.

I didn't want to keep them on any longer because each month I told them how I didn't like how my upper teeth were looking they weren't doing anything about it. It was ignored and a waste of my time & money. I felt really insecure about my teeth before, so I paid out of my own money to get help and the experience was bad. The fact that they look worse after paying all that money is embarrassing. The dental care side was good the Dr was really nice about everything. But if you want braces look for a different place. It's not worth it.

I rarely write reviews, but this experience was bad enough that I feel obligated to share…read more I actually walked out before receiving any treatment, which I have never done before. I chose this office because it's closer than my usual dentist and had great reviews. But after my experience, I seriously question how those reviews are being generated. The office is noticeably dingy, dust on surfaces, worn furniture, stained x-ray aprons, etc. The standing X-ray machine wasn't working, and after a few attempts and a computer restart, they just skipped it entirely. While I was waiting in the room I started noticing more off putting details, some bugs on the floor, dirt around a drooping plant, and what looked like damage in the wall with some sort of debris and a few bugs on it. At this point I was already questioning if I wanted to stay but it was the interaction with the dentist, Dr. Miller, that ultimately made me leave. He came in, and spoke to me from behind while looking at a computer screen. I had mentioned on the form that I sometimes had an issue with dry mouth and he asked if I wanted a "paste." When I asked what it was, he gave vague, non-answers like "something to help dry mouth." I had to ask multiple times before he vaguely mentioned fluoride and "other things." At that point, I stopped the appointment and said I wasn't comfortable continuing. Two things really bothered me about this interaction: 1. Either he didn't clearly know what he was recommending, which is concerning. 2. Or he chose not to explain it properly, which is equally concerning. Patients have a right to understand what is being recommended or prescribed to them. After I said I was leaving, the dentist immediately exited without another word. No explanation, no attempt to address concerns, nothing. The staff member did apologize, which I appreciated, but I will not be returning.

So wild to say I actually love this dental office! Not a big fan of dentistry, like most I suppose…read more The office staff always goes above and beyond. Dr. Miller is great! He knows his stuff and actually helps. Definitely recommend if you've had bad dentists in the past. They will take care of you.

In January 2022, I was referred to Mint Orthodontics to get my retainer done. Made the appointment…read moreand got measure for the lower retainer that I received in 2 weeks that was sometime in March. Six months later, the retainer breaks, and I contacted to office for a replacement. Upon speaking with the representative, I was told there is no warranty on a retainer and a fee of $50 would be required. I have been using a retainer for more than 10 years and needed a replacement because I lost my first one. I informed the representative that I would not be returning anticipating that every 6 months I would have to repurchase which is not normal for a retainer. Again, just like the inferior night guard, I am now dealing with an inferior retainer. I have never heard of a retainer lasting only 6 months. I reported this incident to Mint HQ with no further action requested because I would never return anyway. I will be reporting this incident as well as the night guard incident with company to my health insurance carrier. Please beware!

Dr. Gardner gets a very large portion of his business because he is recommended by a local union…read morefor workers comp injuries. That is how I was referred to him. My experience with Dr. Gardner was never pleasant, it was acceptable. He always came across as pompous and arrogant, but it was not impacting my care so it was just something I dealt with. However, that changed when he gave me wrong medical advice that if I had followed, I would have been severely negatively impacted. I was being seen by him for a work-related knee injury. After weeks of "required" physical therapy, I got an MRI on my knee which indicated a meniscus tear. When my worker's comp insurance company received notice of the tear and required surgery, they issued a partial denial of my claim, stating that my knee sprain was work related, but the tear was not. Upon receipt of this partial denial, I retained an attorney. During my next visit with Dr. Gardner, I informed him of the partial denial and that I gotten an attorney. At this point he became angry and began to belittle, berate, and bully me. Dr. Gardner: "Who told you to get an attorney, did I tell you to do that!". "You have just messed everything up". He was talking to me like I was a child. Dr. Gardner: "I can close your case right now and you can get the surgery under your medical insurance. Do you want me to do that?" I said no. Dr. Gardner: More bullying which I do not recall, then "I will text Dr. XXXX right now to see if he will do the surgery under your medical insurance". He then texted Dr. XXX. More bulling and ranting, then Dr. XXX replied. Dr. Gardner: "Dr. XXX says he will do the surgery under your medical insurance; I can close your case right now so he can do so"" I said no. More ranting and bullying including repeating some of the above statements. I continued to say no and eventually the appointment was concluded. The 1st issue is everything that Dr. Gardner said was wrong and if I had succumbed to his belittling and bullying, I would have been screwed. As an editorial comment, if you are going to belittle and bully someone, you should at a minimum be correct in what are belittling and bullying them about! After the appointment, I immediately contacted my medical insurance company. During the conversation they informed me that since it was a partial denial of my worker's comp claim, they would NOT cover the surgery on my knee and added that "no medical insurance company will pay a claim on your knee for the next five years". This was done through an assistant and can be independently verified. With the help of my attorney and my surgeon, I was able to reverse the partial denial and get the surgery approved by my workers comp insurance company. The 2nd issue is Dr. Gardner's refusal to take responsibility and accountability for the misinformation giving to me and the potential severe consequences of doing so. During my next appointment with Dr. Gardner; which I was not seen until an hour and fifteen minutes after my scheduled time, Dr. Gardner opened my file and saw that the surgery had now been approved. He did a brief examination, and then began to lecture me regarding me inquiring with the front desk staff regarding the delay in being seen. I stated "You were over an hour late and I simply asked why and said that my time is just as valuable as yours". I then said "however, since you want to lecture me, if you are going to belittle someone, talk to them like they are a child and bully them, you should know what you are talking about. You were trying to get me to close my case stating that I could get the surgery through my medical insurance. I checked with my insurance company and because it was a partial denial the surgery on my knee would not be covered under my medical insurance. If I had done what you were trying to bully me into doing, I would have been screwed." Dr. Gardner: "That is not correct, others had done it", said in a belligerent tone walking towards me in an aggressive manner, now standing in my face. I said "I am not going to debate with you about this, I am telling you what my medical insurance company told me. You owe me an apology." Dr. Gardner, then begins yelling and then says "Sounds like you want to find another Dr." I said, "No what I want is an apology." At this point Dr. Gardner walks out the office to the front desk and says "Mr. XXX has decided he no longer wants to be treated here." I said "I did not say that, if you are going to report something, state that you are no longer willing to treat me." Dr. Gardner, walked away. A few weeks later I received a letter stating that he was no longer willing to treat me. Everybody makes mistakes. It is how we respond when we do that speaks to who we are as a person and as a professional. Dr. Gardner, emboldened by his union recommendation obviously feels that he is getting so many patients, that he can treat them anyway he wants to.
