I think what I really appreciated about this place was that the dentist is straight forward. I have…read morenot been to the dentist in YEARS and after looking in my mouth an x-rays, the doc let me know what was a must, what was "next time," and then what we will keep an eye on. The office is very nice, the staff is "calming" (which is awesome because I don't like going to the dentist), and they have the latest x-ray machines. They even had this one x-ray that goes completely around your head. Crazy! No more films, the x-rays go right into their computer, and they have a pen that takes pictures inside your mouth so they can show you what they are talking about and you don't just have to guess what the dentist is talking about while looking at x-rays. Maybe all this has been around for a bit, but again, it's been YEARS since I went. I gave them 4 stars because I am a fan. I have an appointment in the next week for a scaling. Let's see how they do. Can they earn one more star. ;) I look forward to going back and hope more people give them a try.

My husband found Dr Harrells office because it was on the lower level of our chiropractors building. He went in to talk to them and was convinced that the receptionist was the nicest person he had ever talked to. I called their office a day or so later to see if they took our dental insurance plan and after scheduling new patient exams and cleanings, I immediately called my husband to let him know that he was right. Amazing customer service! Dr Harrell was fantastic, their technology is all up to date. Great chair side manners and I felt he was completely skilled. My husband went to his appointment and even though he normally has to take relaxers prior to cleanings and dental work, he now willingly goes with no meds! The dental hygienists are gentle and just the right amount of chatty. They remind my kids of good dental habits, and never chastise or make them feel bad for not flossing as often as they should! The day finally arrived and I went in today. The dental assistant took me back and did x-rays then I sat in the chair for half an hour and waited. Apparently they have their dentists do cleanings? I've never heard of this. Finally the dental assistant came back and said she was going to start my cleaning and began polishing my teeth!! Before they had even been cleaned! I asked her to stop and asked when the dentist was coming. He was still about 10-15 minutes out so I ended up leaving and will not be back. Really missing the amazing staff from Advantage Dental!
