Nova Junk was great! I submitted a request for quote on a Sunday, not expecting to get a response until Monday. However I had a response, quote, and scheduled pick-up on Sunday afternoon. They provided a time block on Monday to come pickup my old lumber. On Monday, they called about 30 minutes before their arrival, to let me know they were on their way. (They arrived in the earliest part of the time window they provided on Sunday). Three men showed up, and got straight to work. They had everything loaded in about 40 minutes and they were gone. We needed a massive safe removed from our house that the previous owners left behind. Given it's weight and location in the basement, it was a bit problematic, especially given that it likely would have damaged the stairs. I cannot say enough good things about NOVA Junk -- the woman who gave me a quote on the phone was courteous, professional, understanding of my concerns and very accommodating. The movers called us 30 minutes before they arrived and showed up within the stated delivery window wearing masks and keeping their personal distance, which was much appreciated. We asked them to take a few more items than we mentioned during the initial quote and they were happy to oblige after giving us another extremely reasonable quote. We asked them if we could also pay them to move our heavy couch into our moving truck and they were happy to do so, even going so far as to help us remove the legs and get it into the actual truck itself. He asked if I had a screwdriver and I did, but not to worry if not because he would bring up his own. The team was given an incorrect address for our location, so it took a few phone calls for them to find us. Upon arrival, there was some confusion about the price. We worked it out, although we ended up paying a little more than the email estimate (despite being clear in the estimate about the sizes of the items that were being picked up). After they had left, I realized there was an issue with our gate that hadn't been there before. The team later denied accidentally hitting the gate with our heavy table. Fortunately, the gate was an easy fix for our property manager. They've offered us a $50 credit for future work, though I can't imagine any need for this service in the near future. read more

I had a few items that have been sitting around my apartment forever. They were too heavy for me to carry down 4 flights of stairs. Also a queen size box spring and bed rails. I requested a general quote and got responses from 5 companies. NOVA Junk was the highest. I wanted to use them because of their great ratings. I contacted them and we were able to come to a price agreement and schedule a time. Omar came with a couple other guys after to calling to give me a head's up they were on their way. I pointed out the items and they had them out in about 5-10 minutes. They were very professional and wore masks. When I paid with a card, Omar was very careful not to touch it. The only things they touched were the things they took. I was going to give 4 stars because of the price. I know there is more to it than just picking it up but it seemed excessive for what took 5 minutes. But good service is very important to me and I agreed to it ahead of time. Here are a few more details: I had a really old TV and a couple of broken chairs to get rid of so I called a few junk removal companies in the area. After talking with a couple of sketchy-sounding companies I called NOVA Junk and it was like a breath of fresh air. The gentleman on the phone was very professional and quoted me a price that was 10-15% lower than other companies I called. We booked a two hour window for the next day and they said they'd call me about a half hour before. I received the call about half-way through the window and the three person crew arrived to remove the stuff. They took care of it in about 5 minutes and were very professional. The only tiny ding I'll give them is that their credit card machine was "not working today" so I had to write them a check. Not a big deal but could have been if I didn't have the alternate form of payment. Still, this is a very minor complaint and they did a great job overall. read more
