Alex was super friendly, efficient, and tidy. He called 20 minutes before arrival and showed up with toolbox in hand ready to work. He re-keyed two doors and made several extra keys for me - much cleaner and better than the hardware store. After he left, I was unable to get the key out of one of the locks. This is the second time we've had Nova Locksmith come to do some work with our locks. The first time was to re-activate a lock on our gate. Someone other than the owner, Alex came out to do the work. We got a call from them when they were on the way, showed up on time and was in and out in a jiffy. This visit, Alex came to our home to replace two deadbolt locks and a locking door knob. As in the previous appointment, Alex called when he was on his way. After doing a quick review of the job, he added and replaced what we agreed on. I indicated to him that I was going to replace the screws on the existing strike plates with longer screws. He indicated that he used the longer screws on the new installations but insisted on replacing the screws on our existing strike plates (which were held on with concrete NAILS) at no extra charge. Alex cleaned up after himself disposing of all the old locks and the packaging in our garbage bins. We gladly took care of the vacuuming of the dust ourselves. Nova is our new locksmith and will plan to use him in our business as well. Great attitude, great experience. Highly recommend. read more

I won't ever be using this company again. They were competent and fast. The negatives were that they ripped me off. I had gotten a key from this company about a year ago and I had called Lock World on Geary St prior. The previous time i had them reprogram the key fob and cut a new key it was about %150.00 Lock World quoted me $90 programming and $19 this is per key. So the locksmith comes and after some unrelated conversation, he programs the two keys in about one minute but says that they don't cut keys. I had seen the machine in the Van with its funky power inverter but he insists that he won't cut a key. Hmm smells like dung. I failed her÷e I didn't get a quote from him before the work was done so technically we did not have a contract the price with no key $290.00 for each key $590.00 that is more than the dealer charges to do this on top of that my original cut key is gone. He says it was that way when he got it. That sounds like bullshit. So it sounds like bullshit and smells like bullshit. I got screwed, reamed, flounced, fleeced, and gouged. The guys this company sent seemed like really nice guys. I liked him but keeping my key? What is the point of that? I could conjecture things but all you have to do is look at the number of automobile break-ins to get an idea. I made mistakes no doubt about it. But I was also taken advantage of by an unscrupulous company and its employees. read more

We called Alex just before 8pm on a Thursday, and he picked up right away, was transparent about his rates, and said he would be right over. He was at our apartment within a half hour. After quickly assessing the lock he knew he would need to replace it, but he had all the necessary parts/tools with him to get the job done.
