We did NOT know there is a children specific ER just two or three blocks away otherwise we'd have gone there first. At no point during any of our check in process did someone mention this to us- which I get, more money for them but we waited for SO long to be seen and were the only people with a child. We were finally seen by a PA and then by the attending doc, they did an X-ray of his arm and couldn't see anything because he's small and they only have adult equipment. After 6+ hours of this waiting and waiting they decided to transfer us to the children's ER, so we ended up sending twice as long waiting around for answers. DO NOT GO HERE IF THE PATIENT IS A CHILD! We now have 2 ER bills to pay because nobody thought to let us know about Wellstar's children's hospital ER.
